There are posts with plastic bags and trash deposit for the fur babies pick up. All 4 parks are covered with green luscious grass and just about a tree every 5 feet you walk. So please don't worry about not having shade because you're literally surrounded by the best shade there possibly is and the great open outdoors. All the parks have benches to sit at, as well as cement bricks for resting. There are multiple water fountains in each park, disbursing water from the bottom for your friend as well. They also have doggie bags and trash cans inside the parks too! Every time I been here, all the dogs seemed properly behaved, and they definitely knew how to chase and play. Understand, I am down for the closures - since we "opened" today I have seen folks acting a plum fool. With that, I was thankful this park never closed. What makes this place cool is the people. If you go often you will easily find the same people and the same dogs. These folks are watchful but not absurdly cautious or sensitive. If dogs start tussling a little bit, no one freaks out. The folks take the time to learn your name, and the name or your dog, without being intrusive. There are plenty of trashcans and bag stations, and there is a park for 40lbs and over and a separate one for smaller dogs. There is a water fountain for dogs (which is off right now) likely due to the construction, but it's a wonderful place to go, nonetheless.

There's a small park, picnic tables, lots of shade, ducks roaming and you can go fishing or canoeing in the Lake. The crowd is filled with a mixture of everything. Families grilling, dogs all around, teens hanging, families playing volleyball, people witnessing. Lots of fishing going on. Summer time was definitely alive. The crowd stays all the way til dusk too. Also, they have really nice restrooms! It's a big brick building that has the Men's and Women's Restrooms beside each other. The Women's Rest Room was clean but, a little stuffy. There were two stalls. One was small and a little messy and the other was large without a door? Soap dispenser was filled and hot water was available too! My one suggestion would be, the path should lead to the R.R, instead of having to walk through the grass. The trails were alot smaller than I expected. They we're simple and surrounded the lake. The Park is also secured by the Police. If your family member has not returned from the lake after dusk, for more than forty-five minutes. The police will go looking for them. If your looking for a place for a family outing, I would suggest coming here. It's fun and safe!
