I think it is important to support local businesses. This one used to be a good place to do…read morebusiness. A year ago I would have given it 5 stars. Not any longer. The last 4 visits here have pushed me back to the big box establishments. On one visit I needed a case of caulk. The kid working tried to charge me $96. I got it at Lowe's for $34. On another I was 2nd in line at the register and the guy ahead of me decided he needed more items. He and the store employee went shopping together bringing several items to the counter one at a time while I waited and waited and waited...I placed my items on the counter with his and left. On another I only needed a junction box cover. I could find one, I also couldn't find an employee for assistance. And on the last visit, the straw that broke the camels back, I dropped off chainsaw chains to be sharpened. 9 days later, they remained untouched. I tried! They stopped trying.

They do have 5 "warehouses"…read moreof furniture and stuff, but these "warehouses" are not so big and the selection is limited at best. The art is overpriced out of date crap I would not want to be seen with. there were a few nice pieces of furniture, but I could find these in a furniture store closer to me and then work the price via the internet to get a better deal delivered to my home. No going back....can not recommend this place to anyone.

The odds and ends they have in stock are not what I went to them for. I shopped for the furniture in other stores, found what I liked, went to JF Lewis and they ordered it for me at a HUGE discount in comparison to other high end furniture companies. I purchased very expensive furniture at a discounted price.

My boyfriend and I went to look around and buy a few things, he's never been to an Ollie's before…read moreand I gotta say it was probably not the best first impression. Everything was fine, though everything was extremely messy and cluttered. We were followed by an employee after we looped around the store to look at everything. It was quite persistent and discomforting to be followed (not so discreetly) by an employee, we had looped back towards the floor panels and rugs of the store as we're renovating a room in our home and wanted to see prices. This employee was on our behinds (to put it nicely) so we moved out of the way assuming he had to get to the backroom where there was a staff area. He had stood beside us for 2-3 minutes just watching us and then pretending to go through the floor panels. I understand staff must have precaution for customers stealing or causing issues as I've worked in retail for some years, but to be persistently behind customers and invading their space while they're just trying to shop and look around without any cause? Unacceptable. We will not be shopping at this Ollie's again. I will also be averting my friends and family from shopping here as well.
