I love SoftMoc for a number of reasons. I like that it has women's size 11 shoes. If I can't find…read moreshoes in my size at my local store, I can either have the store find the right size at another location and ship the shoes to the store, or I can order them online, and choose whether I want to pick them up at my local store or have them delivered anywhere in Canada. I saw this store at St. Vital Mall. I don't ever remember dropping by any SoftMoc store in Winnipeg, so i had to drop by to check it out. As convenient as it is to buy shoes online, going into a store and physically looking at shoes is a completely different experience. Take Doc Martens sandals, for instance. I owned a pair a couple of decades ago. They were leather and heavy. I looked at those at the store. On the contrary, the sandals were lightweight and had vegan options. Seeing and holding one of the sandals persuaded me to get a pair once I returned home. This store had a good selection of Adidas sneakers. SoftMoc also carries its own line of shoes. I dig their sandals. They are comfortable and many have a backstrap that I like. Without a backstrap, wearing sandals are like projectiles on my feet. You've been warn if I am walking towards you and I lose a slide. This store has the best selection of Crocs. I saw everything from shimmery ones to platforms ones. I saw a display of Grogu Jibbitz that allow you to decorate your Crocs. There were samples. I was trying to find some to buy when a friendly male staffer asked if I needed any help. Perfect timing! I asked if he had any Star Wars Jibbitz. He said that I could find them in the display on the right. He went one step further and found the exact set in his stock behind the counter. Nice! Jibbitz aren't cheap, as five of these Star Wars ones was $25. However, it i worth getting two Grogu Jibbitz in the set. He asked for my phone number associated with my SoftMocs rewards account. I rattled it off and he found me in the system. The rewards system is great. I had enough points last year to get a pair of Uggs sandals for free when I redeemed my points. I paid for my Jibbitz with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. He asked if I needed a bag. I was fine with the one that I had with me and placed the Jibbitz in it. I thanked him and left with my purchase. My Crocs do look cute with Grogu on them. It's fun decorating Crocs. I had a great experience at this store. Customer service was stellar and I loved what I had purchased. (287)

Most are one of a kind and others are "one of a kind in this colour." They have everything from jewelry to purses and even hankies. It's not for everyone, but it's a great place to buy a gift for someone that wouldn't normally shop in a boutique. Go at the end of each season for blowout prices. I found a beautiful silver and pearl necklace for my wedding here and got half off. There is a lot of handmade and sterling silver jewelry which is good if you have alloy allergies. Some items are a bit pricey, but because most are handmade and original, you get what you pay for. Check this place out even if you're not going to buy anything.

Tip: Sign up for Torrid rewards to get discounts towards purchases and more…read more I have flagged visiting this Torrid store at Collection Outlet Winnipeg within the past year. I like that this chain has graphic t-shirts and larger shoe sizes. Torrid accommodates curvy women, which I appreciate. I don't exactly fit the demographic perfectly, but I can manage to wear clothing on the smaller side of the sizing scale. It's cool. I do like options. This store was clean and bright. There were deals everywhere. The best deals were in the back left of the store. I managed to find a pair of cargo pants that were regularly $109, but were reduced to $30. They looked like they would fit me. I wasn't sure because I had never bought pants here. I needed to find a fitting room. I headed to the checkout area and asked a female staffer if I could try them on. She was friendly, said yes, and led me to a fitting room by unlocking the door. These pants fit perfectly. The length and inseam were great. I could breathe in them. Yay! I looked around and liked a cardigan. It was lightweight, but Winnipeg was going through a heatwave outside that I couldn't look at any clothing for Fall. I found the graphic t-shirts. I liked the Care Bears one. Nothing truly screamed at me. It probably means that I'm content with my wardrobe. I found my sneakers that I had bought almost a year ago. They are so comfortable. It was one of my favourite purchases from this chain. I headed to the checkout area. It took a while for the nice woman to return. She was helping another person unlock a fitting room. I wasn't in a rush. It allowed me to look at the earring sets. I love them. They are comfortable and the designs are cute. I recommend signing up for Torrid rewards. I got an additional $10 off my purchase when I was here. My pair of cargo pants were $20 after all the discounts. Yay! The best way for the staffer to find your rewards account is to provide your phone number. Easy peasy! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I was done. She put my item in a paper bag with handles. I thanked her and happily left with my purchase. I'm pleased with my new cargo pants and the price that I paid for them. I loved shopping here. I hope to return the next time I'm at the outlet. They carry a unique mix of vintage dresses, work-appropriate basics, and gorgeous accessories. The store is nicely organized, making it easy to browse and admire the amazing clothing. Not only is the selection great, but the prices are amazing! I was surprised every time I looked at a clothing tag because it was at least $20 less than I expected the item to cost. Maybe I'm just used to the price gouging that occurs in Vancouver. My friend bought two gorgeous dresses for less than $150, both of which were great finds. I ended up buying a pair of socks from Blue Q and a nice pair of black bamboo leggings for less than $40. If you love dresses and unique clothing, definitely shop local at Out of the Blue!
