I sat inside and my server took my order quickly and I opted for the soup and panini. I got the chicken panini and the soup of the day. I don't usually eat much but it was so good I wish I had ordered more. I decided before I left to get a Lemon Bar for the road. OMG don't sleep on the desserts here. It was the perfect way to finish off my meal once I got to the car (which is as far as I made it before I had a bite).

My kids ordered the turkey sandwich and the cheese, chicken, fruit/veggie plate. The chicken was really dry and I was too full to try the turkey sandwich so not sure why it wasn't good. The pineapple that came with his kids meal was very fresh and delicious. The lemon bar was good and we will get that again. Service was excellent. They checked on us often. Ambience was nice too. I would go back for their panini and maybe order it with a salad next time. They also sell bread that looks good.

The baby gobbled up the fried plantains (when I wasn't snitching from his order--yummy). The three year old hardly made a peep, she was so busy scooping it all in. The shrimp taco from the appetizer area of the menu had fresh avocado and radish and is making me salivate just remembering it, and my husband's big burrito was, as always, super tasty. After all this, we were still out of there in less that 25 bucks including tip. There are no other eats in Hastings that make me feel this happy. The new location looks great and the wait staff's uniforms are clean and professional. Huge improvement in atmosphere.

Atrocious pricing, refusal to actually fill orders correctly, and portion are a complete joke. My…read moreother half ordered a pickup meal that included a sandwich, an extra side of pickle chips for $10, another extra side of sweet potato fries for $8, and a kids order of popcorn shrimp for $10. They decided to omit the fries that come with the kids order and add exactly 13 pickle chips to it. Providing us not with what we paid for and a disappointment all around. The popcorn shrimp was consumed with disappointment for a lack of fries, my partner was disappointed that so little pickle chips were received instead of the proper side that was ordered. $20 charged for one item that was worth less than the two items ordered that were falsely combined. Then we unpacked the side of sweet potato fries to find exactly 10 fries, for $8, I remind you. It looks like maybe one potato was cut up to provide this side. To feed all of us when we expected a container full of them. The real kicker is that they were still hard and partially uncooked. The sandwich was the only item that was provided correctly. This is the second time they've failed to provide an order as we made it. We will never be returning. What a joke. The food doesn't even taste that good. It all tastes and looks cheap. Photos: Sweet potato fries, sandwich order. Not pictured: The joke of the combined kids meal/side that wasn't filled correctly. It was consumed before we decided to write the review.

In my 10 days in town, I tried a few (but probably not all) of the Mexican restaurants, and this place was by far the best.
