Atrocious pricing, refusal to actually fill orders correctly, and portion are a complete joke. My other half ordered a pickup meal that included a sandwich, an extra side of pickle chips for $10, another extra side of sweet potato fries for $8, and a kids order of popcorn shrimp for $10. They decided to omit the fries that come with the kids order and add exactly 13 pickle chips to it. Providing us not with what we paid for and a disappointment all around. The popcorn shrimp was consumed with disappointment for a lack of fries, my partner was disappointed that so little pickle chips were received instead of the proper side that was ordered. $20 charged for one item that was worth less than the two items ordered that were falsely combined. Then we unpacked the side of sweet potato fries to find exactly 10 fries, for $8, I remind you. It looks like maybe one potato was cut up to provide this side. To feed all of us when we expected a container full of them. The real kicker is that they were still hard and partially uncooked. The sandwich was the only item that was provided correctly. This is the second time they've failed to provide an order as we made it. We will never be returning. What a joke. The food doesn't even taste that good. It all tastes and looks cheap. Worst food I have ever had. Terrible. I've lived in Nebraska all my life and this was garbage. Service was OK. Food was awful. Yuck.

We are from Tennessee andwere in Hastings quail hunting for the week. We walked in and a young waitress looked at us and said, "We're full." She didn't offer to take our name or anything. Terrible and so rude! It's a shame because we make a point to come to Nebraska to upland hunt every year. We will NOT be back. read more

We ordered Bacon Burgers with fries & they were very good. The burger is huge but they need to give you more fries. The waitress was really busy but did a great job checking on us. When someone said, "Well, why did you order a steak at a burger joint?" the only thing I could think of was, "Why didn't they say this BEFORE I ordered the steak!" Atmosphere is solid. Love the layout and friendliness of the staff and patrons. We were in from out of town, and this place was recommended as a good place to eat. I'd have given it a 5-star had my steak be solid, but it was far from that. A 5 oz, bacon-wrapped, medium rare filet mignon sounded perfect. Problem is it was medium - maybe even medium well. No pink. NONE. I should've set my expectations at $17.99, but they should have medium rare down. The flavor was fair, the steak was tender...but it was anything but medium rare. I mentioned it to my server, and he apologized but nothing else. Young kid - maybe 22 with blonde hair. He was fantastic in the first round but quickly faded to the point where we had to go get him to continue serving us. Additionally, we ordered cheese balls as an app (with a filet! Ha). This place is a piece of poop and honestly deserves -2.5 stars(Heads up, this is the pg version). I don't even know where to begin. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, this place looked sketch...but yes, I went to the restaurant anyways. To start, they gave away our RESERVED TABLE and split my group up into 5 tables. Strike 1 But now to the important stuff. The waitress didn't even hand out our menus until 15 min. after we sat down. And better yet, they didn't even have enough menus to go around the restaurant. Strike 2. Even after we sat down, drinks didn't come for another 10 min. Strike 3. When it finally came to order, my table ordered two appetizers which were decent, however it took over 30 min. For a few fried pickles and frozen cheeze curds to come out. Are you kidding me? It takes about 30 sec to fry pickles...Strike 4 The worst part is when it came to the main course. Lets just say DO NOT order anything that has to be cooked. This includes chicken, steak, burgers, and all of the above. If you have to come to this restaurant (which I don't know why you would) order a salad. That might come out within an hour. You might be wondering, "why not order a burger" well unless you like eating pink ground beef straight off the shelf from Walmart I would not order a burger. And also, if you like your steak bloody and still walking on four legs, this place is the place for you. Here the service sucks, and the cooks in the back must be blind because they couldn't cook a medium rare steak if their life depended on it. (And also the chicken was pink). Yikes. To begin with, our server did not share her name, smile or even attempt to welcome us when we came in. She had a poor attitude the entire time of our service that displayed that she did not want to be there and did not want to be serving us. We felt very unwelcome and deterred by her rude attitude. It took her over 15 minutes to even come to our table and bring us menus.. and even longer to get our drink order after making eye contact and looking at us numerous times. She was cleaning tables and doing others things, which can be an understandable part of her job, with a simple "I will be right with you folks" but she failed to do even that. After waiting 15 minutes for simple appetizers and an additional 30+ minutes at the least for our food, our cheese sticks were cold and the main meals were not pleasant tasting at all. She also failed to check on us at all to see if we needed anything additional for our meals or if we needed drink refills through out our time there. Our bill was over $100.00, but by our treatment you would have thought we sat there for hours bumming off of water and free popcorn. Murphy's is definitely a must stop for booze and bar food when in Hastings. The space is huge and can accommodate very large groups, and their wait staff is always busting their asses to keep the drinks flowing and the food coming. The food is good bar food fare. My favorite thing on the menu is their club sandwich. I always order it when I'm here. I also love their nachos, they are piled to the ceiling with toppings and cheese. Yum. Also, they have pretty damn good curly fries and wings. This place can get pretty loud and crazy on the weekends, so I wouldn't consider coming here if you're looking for a quiet night out. read more

I love Murphy's!!! Wing night is a must and the space is so cool! It's very open and has a lot of room, and the bar is separate from the restaurant so you can get different atmosphere's for your mood or party. I had my party here and the staff is very accommodating. They let my boyfriend in early to set up decorations and kept our cake in the freezer and split our checks which was nice!! Fair at best. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the pattie was set on the bun covered in grease so the bottom bun was soggy (yuk). Pattie was very good. Ordered wing and asked for them to be cooked extra long. They didn't do that. The wings were chewy and not done enough. They weren't even golden brown. With $4.50 drafts of Stella and $3 bottles... This was my first and LAST time eating at the establishment. The service was mediocre at best. There were four of us in or party, we ordered water with lemon to drink ( not too difficult, right?). It took about 15 minutes just to receive them. As for the food, the couple that was with us each had fish and chips and enjoyed their meal... well, except for the nearly 45 min wait for it to arrive at the table. My husband and I had ordered the special (a French dip with onion rings) to share. When I went to dip my half of the sandwich in the small bowl of Au Jus that came with our meal, my finger touched the liquid and it was ice cold. It was bad enough that the meat itself was borderline lukewarm. I motioned to the waitress and explained the situation and she said that she would take care of it (never once apologizing for the inconvenience). I had a clear view of the kitchen from my seat and I watched her bring the bowl to the expediting window and say to the cook with a huge attitude "She said it's ice cold"! The cook then stuck his gloved hand in the bowl and then put it in the microwave and went about his business with another member of the kitchen staff (never changing his gloves). The microwave alert went off but he could not be bothered, and neither could the other guy.. our waitress went over and leaned over the counter ( I thought she heard the ding of the microwave and was gonna ask for the jus), but no.. instead, she started rubbing her bare hand all over her nose and then started picking her face!! Gross!!! I sat there and stared at all of them. She must have felt me staring or something because she then asked for the jus and brought it to our table and set it right in front of me. There was NO WAY I was eating that!!!!! She was very rude, and about 15 minutes later, she came over and said "are you guys ready for your check?" I will never give another dime of my hard-earned money to that business when there are so many more deserving ones I'd rather go to. read more

We watched tables of people who got there later get their food. We asked the wait staff about our food. Wait staff replied that food was on its way. From out of town looking for a unique experience and a good place to eat and have a couple drinks. With the written reviews, maybe our expectations were a little high. The food was poor. The pork they "smoke themselves" was as hard as leather. And we ate and sat there for 20 minutes and never got asked for a refill on our drinks.
