So Andrettis is an indoor karting, laser tag, and game room located right next to the Convention Center on International Drive. This place definitely was easily accessible from the main road and had plenty of parking in their private parking lot. So on the day of our event, upon arrival, we were greeted immediately and checked in quickly and efficiently. The staff were all very kind and helpful! The party room was located in the back of the building and was a pretty spacious room, with its own private bathroom. For our birthday package we opted for the laser tag, and arcade option for the kids and it kept them occupied for a few hours. Now for the food, I was very impressed by the quality and presentation of all the items we selected! Yes the food was just your average fried bar food... but I thought everything was super fresh and all came out very quick. The pizza, wings, and cheese curds were outstanding! Lastly, our party attendant was top notch! She was very attentive, had great communication, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I will say that even though the birthday package at Andretti's is a bit on the pricier side... we thought it was definitely worth it... my nephew had a very memorable birthday!

The track itself is small for the kids just a small circle if you will. The attendant does monitor the speed and also has a controller if the kids are going off course. Pricing is comparable to other places. $15 for one round of the mini Mario which allows kids as young as 3 to 7 to drive on their own. The height requirements is a minimum 36". Max of 4 karts at a time.

The man won 7 races and have two championships belts. Donta cars are so fast and he is a skilled driver. To no one wanted to lineup against him. He had to race 5 times against himself. Because, he had to challengers. One opponent pulled up to the line against him. Then backed out saying something was wrong with his car. There was 2 brave opponents that did challenge him. But, to no avail. He was just to fast. We were there as his guest. It was such a God given blessed night. The weather was about 70 degrees with a light breeze. The people was so friendly and welcoming. Between races I walked around the park and ran into some of my Masonic Brethren. I ran into business owners, that I grew up with their parents. As someone who lived in Okinawa, Japan, and spent years around some of the best drifting in the…read moreworld, I wasn't sure what to expect from this event. I have to say--I was genuinely impressed. The drifting itself was absolutely incredible. The drivers put on an amazing show, the action was nonstop, and I had an absolute blast. If you're a drifting fan, this event is definitely worth seeing. Unfortunately, the facility itself is a completely different story. The biggest issue was parking. Getting in wasn't terrible, but getting out took nearly 40 minutes. The parking areas were muddy, covered in grass, and swarming with bugs. By the end of the night, I was covered in mud and mosquito bites just from walking to and from my vehicle. Another major frustration was the restroom situation. The facility has permanent restrooms inside the building, yet employees were stationed at the doors preventing paying customers from using them. Instead, everyone was forced to use portable restrooms and restroom trailers that were overwhelmed by the crowd. The lines were incredibly long, and for a venue charging admission, this made no sense at all. Food options were limited and very expensive for what was available. The grandstand seating also needs serious attention. The benches are old, uncomfortable, cramped, and offer no protection from the Florida sun or rain. Everyone was packed together with very little personal space. The sound system was another disappointment. Much of the commentary was difficult or impossible to hear unless you were sitting directly next to a speaker. Then, instead of being clear, it was simply too loud and uncomfortable. What makes all of this frustrating is that the event itself was fantastic. The drifting was exciting, professional, and entertaining from start to finish. The facility, however, feels neglected and badly in need of upgrades. With the crowds these events attract and the money being generated, it would be great to see some investment put back into improving the overall experience for fans. I would absolutely return for another drifting event because the on-track action was that good. I just hope the owners recognize the potential of this venue and make the improvements it desperately needs. The drivers and fans deserve a facility that matches the quality of the show being put on.

Dezerland kept us busy for a few hours and inside during a very hot day. Besides the Auto Museum, Dezerland also features an arcade, escape room, bowling alley, bumper cars, lazer tag maze, ax throwing, and pool tables. Being of a certain age, we chose to visit just the Auto Museum. There are a variety of attraction packages available if you want to use one or several of the attractions. Everyone entering must fill out a waiver, even if you're visiting just the Auto Museum. The waivers are available online as well as advance ticket purchases. There is also a food court and several shops within the Dezerland complex. I'm not into cars myself but the Auto Museum was impressive. My husband especially loved seeing the vintage cars from the 1940s through the 1970s, although some of the cars shown preceded the 1940s. The displays include vehicles used in movies and popular culture. My favorites were the Mystery Machine and Herbie the Love Bug as I saw the movie Love Bug as a child. Besides cars, the museum also features vintage motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, fire trucks, police vehicles, post office delivery vehicles, subway cars, and buses. The backdrops, movies posters, pictures, and cardboard cut outs of the movie 'stars' and historical figures greatly enhance the experience. I can't imagine the time and energy it must have taken to amass this collection of vintage vehicles. We spent about two hours browsing the huge collection of cars but easily could have spent another hour or two here admiring the old time motor vehicles.

Both were really cool concepts and a fun way to spend a sunny afternoon outside of the heat. Now it's become a year-round indoor car show, and I really don't care for it . Most of the shops they used to be here are gone. The only thing that really remained are the theater and the putt putt golf. It's cool if you're into vintage cars and a car museum for props that were used in movies and TV, but other than that, there's not much else to do
