I've been doing a lot of bike riding lately and decided to finally give this one a try since I always see the over-bridge on Semoran and think how cool it would be to ride across (It is by the way). I parked in the mall plaza that's right across the street from the beginning of the trail on Aloma and Howell rd. There's a lot of nice scenic views especially when you're around the area of Baldwin park but there's also some areas that are not so nice unfortunately and look like they're small parks that have been neglected/abandoned. You see a lot of homeless people around these areas and we saw some people who looked like they were doing some smoking that weren't cigarettes so... My advice is don't come on this trail alone, have a buddy, it's the only reason why I don't give it a solid 5 stars. read more

At this point, I've walked this bridge twice. Here's the deal: I've reviewed this once, as Cady Park. Cady Park is separate from the trail, itself. It goes through three separate areas. If you want to enter the trail at the halfway mark, you need to go to Orange County Elementary. That is the halfway point (give or take) for the trail. Right now, the Winter Park side is blocked off, because a bridge on that side is out. This trails snakes behind subdivisions, through Orange County, Winter Park, and portions of Baldwin Park/Orlando. I'm really perplexed, because they haven't exactly realized the potential of this place: It's wonderful for bikers, skateboarders, and walkers / runners. They have several spots to rest and relax. This could be so much more, but they really haven't advertised it / made it a point of interest. Several subdivisions offer their own little "on-ramps" to the trail. It's a fantastic place for families during daylight hours. If you're a woman or have children, I could see why you wouldn't be here after dark: it's not well-lit, and the cities involved are just kinda like "Well, it's here." Cady Way is an incredible place, and could be much more with a little bit of TLC and cooperation. Maybe I can give it five in the future. Visit here, sunup to sundown. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2017: 28/100: HUGE PARK! This place has pretty long trails that prove being awesome for hiking, jogging or biking! (I desperately want a bike). One of the awesome things about biking in Florida is that Florida rarely had any hills, so it's smooth, effortless riding (at least when you compare it with Puerto Rico, where I am from, which is all mountains and steep hills). Beautiful scenery, though some areas look shady and unsafe, so I wouldn't recommend going for a long walk or jog without company... But not one bad experience. Need to check it out again with a bike rental or something since this place makes me want to bike! read more

I've been on this trail a few more times since my last review. I highly recommend parking at Fashion Square and catching the trail from there all the way to Baldwin Lake and further if you choose! The parking lot in Fashion Square can be tricky to find, just look for the post office next to Dillards and you will see a small sign that shows the bike trail from there. I also highly recommend parking at Ward Park and catching the trail from that end to Baldwin Lake. I personally enjoy that side of the trail more than the Fashion Square one. From Ward Park the path is covered in beautiful mature trees giving you some great shade and jurassic park views (not really Jurassic Park, but that's what it looks like)!! read more

The Cady Way trail is a great trail to do a run, bike ride, or rollerblade. There are plenty of water fountains appropriately placed along the trail so you don't have to bring your own water bottle. The bridge over Semoran can be used to work on running on an incline. You will burn lots of calories while your legs burn. By the baseball fields there are public bathrooms that seem to be always open when I need them. Overall this is a great outdoor asset to Central Florida. read more

If you're lookin for a paved path that extends for miles on end, Cady Way trail is definitely one you should add to your list for a few reasons: - Drinking fountains are plentiful in the Orange County side. (Seminole county in the Oviedo area doesn't have water fountains like you see in Orange County. I think the first water fountain I've noticed is near Goldenrod and then again over by Forsyth Rd) - Nicely paved path which is fairly decent in width so you can bypass people on the path. - Scenic. There are beautiful stretches and then an industrial stretch. One note here, I wouldn't recommend going through the industrial stretch when it's dark out. Actually, I'd recommend staying OFF of the trail when it's dark because there are NO lights along any part of the stretch I've been on. (From Oviedo through Baldwin Park) - Smooth pavement. It's well maintained and free of debris. My first run was very sentimental. It was my first visit in Orlando and I ran 14 miles with my honey biking by my side so I wouldn't get lost. And since moving here, I've logged many miles on this course. I'm definitely looking forward to breaking that 14 mile round trip course :] read more

Pretty good trail with not a ton of traffic. We started at the Goldenrod park end and worked our way southwest, looped around Lake Baldwin, and came back around. Pros: lots of scenery once you get closer to Lake Baldwin. Lots of trees and shade along the windy trails makes it pretty easy to stay cool. The Lake is beautiful but you do have to veer off the Cady trail and onto the lakes own trail to see all that. Cons: the trail from Goldenrod park took us through car junkyards, factories, and other industrial things. It looks a bit sketchy until you hit the Semoran overpass. Next time I'll park 2 miles down at the Cady park. That's where the trail starts to get nice if your heading south from Aloma. All in all the trail is beautiful once you get to the "nice" part as we call it. I would start/end at Cady Way Park if you're coming from east Orlando. Next time I look forward to starting at Fashion Square. read more

Cady Way Trail - Shady - Parks Near Me

A Short Adventure! Cady Way Trail is definitely not as adventurous as the WEst Orange Trail. However, it is a charming little 3 mile jaunt that is just perfect for jogging excursions! The Good: Plenty of stops: There are two parks that you can stop off at while on the trail, and there are little mini-stops with water fountains as well. Paved!: This trail is nicely paved, which, again makes it perfect for jogging. Nothing is worse than running on an uneven surface :-( The Bad: A little confusing: The Cady Way trail is only about 3.5 miles long, but you may end up going farther then that, into the Cross Seminole Trail. There's not much signage, so just run or walk as much as you want, but keep track of how far you've traveled, so you don't get tuckered out after accidentally going too far. Cady Way is a nice little trail, and tons of fun to walk or jog through. And don't worry bike riders, it's fun to go on the Cady Way Trail on two wheels as well! Overall 8.8/10= Classy Cady Way! read more

I've been using Cady Way Trail for roller blading, jogging and biking for several years. When I started using the trail it went from the Cady Way pool to Bennett Rd. Now the trail expands way beyond each of those ends and connects with the Little Econ trail, into Baldwin park and will eventually meet up with the Seminole County trail. In some sections of the trail there are separate lanes for walkers and bikers but there some long stretches with no shade. Unless you are completely acclimated to the Florida heat, I suggest going early morning or late evening from June-August. Cady Way is family and pet friendly with water fountains, benches and trash cans specifically for pet waste. This is a great trail for anyone in Winter Park, Oviedo, Cassleberry and East Orlando. read more

First off, because I didn't see anyone mention both of them....there are bathrooms at Cady Way Park, about 4 miles in, and at Goldenrod Park, about 6 miles in. The bathrooms are locked during the night, but I don't know exactly when. These 2 bathrooms also have cold water fountains, especially for those hot days. Otherwise, there are water fountains every 2 miles or so, except for the first 2 miles, which has had a broken water fountain for at least 4 years now! I've clocked many miles here, training for distance runs, and it makes it easy with markers ever 1/4 mile, up to the 6 1/2 miles that ends at Aloma and Howell Branch. You can continue on forever, if you diagonally cross the street and connect to the Seminole trail (which is a series of somewhat connected trails that goes all the way to I-4 by Lake Mary, and beyond. A nice half day bike ride.). I'll concur with other reviewers that the trail needs more shade trees. Especially along the Baldwin Park side, and when you cross over the 436 Bridge. And although I haven't had any problems, the part after 436 could seem sketchy at times. I wouldn't use any of the trail anytime after dark either, but would probably early morning by Cady Way park, when certain training groups are out there (4 to 5AMish). Bike, walk, run, skating, dogs...it can all be done here! read more

It just keeps going and going! When you think it's done, you can cross the street and another trail starts! We biked 10 miles, turned around, and then biked back. I love the clearly marked mile markers, the scenery, and the water fountains. read more

Every Saturday morning I meet with my running group at Cady Way to tackle a long, hot, humid and overall brutal run, which usually ranges between 10 and 22 miles. Clearly not fun, but having a safe area with designated trails to run in is always helpful and reduces the stress of figuring out where to go and how long the mileage is. Cady Way is a running trail that goes through the Winter Park, Casselberry, Orlando areas. Half of it is very scenic with lots of trees offering a break from the Florida sun, while the other half runs along busy streets and has no protection from the sun. I wouldn't recommend running this trail on a daily basis, but running it once a week does add variety and change into your running mix. As always, there a few downfalls to this running trail. First, there are many areas in which you are alone and in a somewhat secluded area, which can put you at risk for harm if you're alone and not careful. I highly suggest running with at least one other person if you're on this trail. Second, you have to cross a few major roads like Aloma along the trail. However, these can be avoided depending on where you start. Overall, I'm a fan. read more

What a nice place for exercise! Cady Way Trail stretches for miles and goes through quite a few Orlando/Winter Park neighborhoods. There is always an abundance of walkers, runners, and bike riders on the trail. There are fountains along the way if you need a drink of cold water. There are even small fountains for dogs to drink from too. There are pet clean up stations to keep the trail clean. It's safe and fun to to walk during the day (I would not suggest walking at night). It's one of the best parts of the Orlando community. read more

I like this trail for biking, very nice trail that leads all the way to Lake Mary. Although we rode for 8 miles which stopped around Aloma. Can't wait to go back and ride all the way to Lake Mary. The only thing I have complain of is that bridge that I have to conquer, oh man,I hope mellow mushroom is waiting for me on the other end of bridge next time. read more

Another great outdoor treat for Orlando residents. This bike path and running trail also offers rollerbladers and walkers a place to enjoy their hobby. Although the internet information on the Trail states it runs 3.5 miles from beginning to end, we discovered that the trail has been extended. We rode until we reached mile marker 5 and then turned around, but it kept going after that. So if you are up for a longer ride, you shouldn't discount Cady Way. Along the way there are water fountains and benches for rest. You will also pass by the Cady Way Park and the massive Baldwin Park neighborhood. In certain stretches of the Trail, the path was separated to allow runners and bikers their own separate space. That's a courteous accommodation for areas where congestion may occur. It also makes passing a lot easier. read more

New to the trail riding world. I rode the whole trail starting Cady Way Park and went to both ends . Pretty nice trail and the bridge was pretty awesome that goes over 436. The Fashion square mall trail head has more scenic views rather than the other side which is mostly behind shops/stores. Over all had a great time. Also on the Fashion square mall entrance to the trail there's a bike work station with different tools to work on your bike and also an air pump you can use and all for free. read more

I love this trail for biking and it can also be used for running, walking, and rollerblading. It does cross some busy intersections in a few places and some of those spots make it a little difficult to see pedestrians and cars coming. However, it's a convenient, fairly well kept up trail. I have never felt unsafe while on it. read more

This is an excellent trail for running, biking, etc. It runs from the Fashion Square Mall near downtown Orlando, through Baldwin Park, through Winter Park, and eventually connects with the Cross Seminole Trail on Aloma in Oviedo. There are water fountains every mile or two (don't quote me on that -- I'm not sure exactly how many or the distances between them, but I know there are at least a couple water fountains) and the scenery is quite nice through the Baldwin Park/Winter Park residential areas. The bridge crossing Semoran is a nice feature if you're trying to get some hill training in the mix! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is a lack of shade. It gets really hot in the summer (actually year-round, since it's Florida). It'd be nice if huge, shady trees could grow overnight, but I suppose that's not going to happen, huh? read more

This trail is roughly 3.5 miles, it starts in Orlando and ends in Winter Park. It also connects to the Cross Seminole Trail in Winter Park. I love this trail for many reasons. It's paved, there are 'lanes' for bikers versus walkers, and it's pretty. When you start on the Orlando side you circle around Baldwin Park and end up a stone's throw from Cady Way Pool and Showalter Field. The mileage is marked, so you know how far you've gone. Also, there are periodic water fountains for you and your dog. My only complaint is that there isn't much shade. I prefer to exercise outside, and in Orlando, that requires a healthy dose of shade. There are a few parts where it goes under a nice canopy of trees, but for the most part you're in full sun. read more

I went to the Cady Way Trail for the first time as part of a long run training for a half marathon. I wish I could say I enjoyed the trail but my run was the best part. I parked at the Cady Way pool, a trail Head for the trail. I ran in the direction of Baldwin Park, hoping to get to the end and then turn back to get about 10 miles, but I didn't make it. I had the worst experience as I got lost when I got to Baldwin Park. The trail suddenly ended as it looked like there was construction going on from Baldwin Park to the end at Fashion Square mall. I only had the option to go left or right on the bicycle track and somehow ended up near Colonial and Semoran. Luckily my friend got me as I couldn't find my way back. I think the trail is very poorly laid out without clear markers to say where you are and where you're going. I did appreciate the many benches, water fountains, and dog stations along the trail. There were also location markers for emergencies. I did like having the trees overhead along the part of trail that I went on. There needs to be more restrooms. Needless to say, I won't be going on this trail again unless by bike. read more

Great trail for bike riding, jogging, roller blading. There is a parking lot for you by the fashion squre mall. The trail goes on for miles from there. You can also access atrail through Baldwin Park and around lake Baldwin. It is very quiet and peaceful on the trail. read more

I finally got the opportunity to ride this trail! The trail is 6.5 miles which stretches from the back side of the Orlando Fashion Square Mall to Howell Branch Rd and Aloma. The trail is mostly asphalt and runs though urban areas. There are many covered rest stops on the way. There are also many spots with shade. Cady Way park is about in the middle of the trail and has facilities and a YMCA on the premises. The trail is well maintained with few rough patches. The Northeastern end of the trail (Aloma & Howell Branch Rd) connects to the Cross Seminole Trail. The trail is better suited for recreational cyclists and commuters, runners, walkers, and other sports. There the Western edge of the trial is has stop signs on every street which would slow down someone riding for time or speed. read more

This is my go-to spot for long runs when training for marathons. The quarter mile markers, shaded water stops & nice scenery keep me coming back. Love how it ties into Baldwin Park, Blue Jacket Park, the Orlando Urban Trail & trails east of town. Just enough hills to make it challenging. I'll never forget my first run across the tall suspension bridge - what a rush! Four stars only because of the water fountains needing occasional maintenace. Highly recommend for beginner runners looking to pace yourself. read more

i love this trail! since moving down from boston, i'd kind of missed just....um, walking around, so i was thrilled to find this gem. it really is a pretty urban trail and weaves in an out of residential and more wooded areas so you never really get bored. a perfect place to go on a beautiful day! read more

I have been riding this trail on my mountain bike for a while now and I like it. I hop on at Baldwin park cause it is close to my house. The trail is never that crowded and it goes pretty far. the only down side it that it crosses a lot of streets so sometimes you loose your momentum to stop for traffic. read more
