My debit card was overcharged by $90 (we asked for a $100 back to school package) and was charged $190. He definitely needs a course in customer service. My family owns a beach house in Lincoln City, and this arcade was on our must visit list. No longer. We will NOT be back. The bathroom was shinny, smelled fresh, and fully stocked. The carpet was stain free, the games were all shinny, nothing was covered in finger prints. They have a beer and wine bar for the adults. What I liked the most was the bang for your buck! It's something like $10.00 for an hour of FREEPLAY! In this economy that's a darn good deal. If we lived in town we would take our daughter every weekend. If you are on vacation and looking for something to do this place is tons of fun. If you ever go to the Oregon Coast, you need to check out Pacific City Gallery in Pacific City,…read moreOregon. My husband and I took a trip to the Oregon coast for a little vaca. Pacific City is BEAUTIFUL! We went to several little towns checking out the lighthouses and little shops. About the gallery: The people that work here are super nice and the owner is VERY informative. We loved the artists they had in the gallery like and purchased a Rose Perez seascape. In addition to wall art, they also have glass balls, wood carvings, pottery, jewelry and textiles. The prices are also appropriate and not outrageously overpriced. I will post some photos when I get the images uploaded but I thought I would mention it. Note: Make sure you call to check on their hours. Since it is winter they are only open Thursday thru Sunday (I was told this was pretty common for the coast). Lastly, I wanted to reiterate that Pacific City's beach is beautiful with Chief Rock and the flat sandy beach. There is a huge area along the beach that is almost untouched because it is part of a national park Bob Straub Park. You can park your car and walk thru the grass to the beach. Keep walking (South) and you end up where the ocean meets the river. We saw some seals swimming around. Also, if you head (North) during low tide you can also check out the sea urchins and muscles that line the rocks.

We tasted most of their wines (um, free tastings!!), consumed some pints, and bought some bottles. But more than that, we played an impromptu round of 80's music trivia with 6 or 8 new friends and laughed a lot in the coolest little wine/beer shop we've ever been in. Great job, Shawn!!!

Decided it was a beer day and vowed to buy some wine to take home for later. Simply stated, these guys rock. Have stopped in here a few times after adventures at the Pelican. Very cool, very down to earth. We showed up in our bike clothes( this is one relaxed tasting room) and were welcomed by Shawn, one of the owners. He had some cool music groovin', some old vinyls alongside the bar, and with my Pliny in hand, I wanted to spend the rest of the day here chatting up the locals. If I lived in town, you'd probably find me here more often than the Pelican. You can always find fresh Russian River beers on tap and for sale in bottles here. Ask me how I know? Why don't you ask them? :) The wine is really well priced, lots of Cabs and Syrahs, (try the Reversal Syrah!) and as they said on their menu, good for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night drinking.... We noticed Chenin, Shawn's wife wasn't around that day and found she was at the PSU Farmer's market where they attend all summer. Shawn also told me you can find them Thursday evenings at another Farmer's market in the Pearl in Portland. Sweet. As much as I love coming to Pacific City, it's also nice to know we can find their wine in Portland in the summertime since they don't sell it retail in stores. An hour later, (maybe two?) we left smiling with two bottles of wine, the Basket Case Syrah and a red table wine in hand, and two empty pint glasses of Pliny on the bar.

First timer here and I went with the NY Steak & Shrimp for my entree. Surprisingly, the oven roasted potatoes were absolutely killer here. Served with a generous amount, they were almost the star of the plate, coming in a close second to the shrimp which was nice and lightly fried and had a good crisp on the initial bite followed by a mouthful of juicy jumbo shrimp. The steak was decent and could of been better, it was a bit on the tougher side as I asked for it to be medium--well and it sure was more on the "well" side. So next time I'll try it cooked medium. Still good and I finished my entire plate. Can't forget the asparagus which was prepared perfectly, not too soggy, but not too crunchy/raw either. Enjoyed my first experience at Summit View Lounge. Will give the Italian next door neighbor restaurant a try next time. P.S. -- Salads are huge here and make a great shareable appetizer. The clam chowder is awesome and worth all of the extra $4.
