I tried to suspend my membership as I would be out of town on vacation for 3 weeks, they never responded to either of my requests. Then charged me at the end of the month so I cancelled a few days later. I had four or five days into the next month until my official cancellation. But they charged me for an additional month regardless not a prorated amount. So about $200 for 4 days, yeah that's shady. The company states they will not give me a refund for the unused amount. If you're thinking about joining, they offer a free trial class for beginners on Saturdays that you should check out. My friend and I tried Rumble Boxing in Los Olivos through ClassPass, and it did not disappoint! We originally booked an intro class for Tuesday, but a Rumble staff member called us beforehand to provide more details and set our expectations. After the call, we decided to go for a regular class instead, which combines boxing workouts and strength training. We arrived 20 minutes early and were greeted with a promotional Rumble tumbler. Since they were celebrating Women's History Month, the front area had fun extras like a photo booth and themed merch, adding to the experience. As first-timers, we got to use the boxing gloves for free (which was great), though we did have to purchase wraps. The price was reasonable--about the same or even cheaper than buying them elsewhere. They also provided fresh-smelling white towels that felt great on the skin. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. The restrooms were spotless, there was a water fountain available for everyone, and the high ceilings, lighting, and ventilation made the space feel open and comfortable. Now, onto the workout itself--this is where Rumble really shines. The room gives you a feeling like "workout is going to be fun and serious at the same time" because of the use of lights, accents, and illumination. The room is divided into two sections: strength training (where you can see all the workout bench and weights neatly tucked inside the bench) and boxing (black punching bags hanging like big tear drops falling from the ceiling). Our instructor, Jakob (or Jacob), was amazing--his instructions were clear, and he demonstrated every move flawlessly. The structure of the class was on point, and we never felt lost or bored. I loved how the workout sequence and timing were projected onto the wall, making it easy to follow along. Plus, the playlist was fire, which made the session even more fun and motivating. After the workout, a staff went inside to check on us which elevated the experience. What a nice touch! Overall, we absolutely loved our experience and are already planning to come back for more! This place not only captured my interest but also my heart. Came to try a class via Classpass. I was looking into boxing classes in general (took an Equinox class and loved it) and this came up, so I picked it. If you're looking for a place where you can hone your technique, this is not it. That was my mistake, this is more of a cardio boxing type class. They don't fix your form or even glance at you to see if you're doing it correctly. Not knocking down any stars for that since it was my mistake. Why I knocked off some stars: It is SUPER crowded in there - there is simply not enough space between people to punch the bag at full force. (But, I guess you technically don't need to since this is more of a cardio class.) The instructor does not walk around to check on anyone's form or technique and gave such a fast demonstration of the punches in the beginning. (Btw - there is NO need to arrive 15 mins early so they can "show you", they will just do a quick run through in 1 min before the class starts.) I highly recommend Rumble Boxing Los Olivos! I recently concluded a 5 Class package, including "60 Minute Level Up" and several from the "Signature O.G." series. I also got a pair of Rumble Boxing gloves and wraps that are working out very well. Victor and his team consistently went above and beyond to welcome me. (Thanks again!) All of the classes were high energy and well-organized, with easy to follow cues audibly from a knowledgeable instructor and also visually projected above mirrors where you could self-monitor your form. I believe the classes could be modified to any fitness level. Adding to the energy was the music, lighting, and a cool photo collage on the rear wall with different celebrities from sports, movies, TV, music, etc. There was an even mix of exercises on the bags and floor/benches/with dumbbells of different weights. The bags were uniquely shaped like teardrops...great for all hand strikes especially uppercuts which are harder to throw on other bags I have seen. Safety-wise, they were sturdy enough for hand strikes but not so rigid that they had no give. They were suspended at different heights, for persons of different heights and/or who want to work on higher vs. lower strikes. All of the facilities were very clean, stocked, and well-maintained. The class booking and check-in process was simple to navigate and their website has a lot of features to track your activity and otherwise make the most of your membership. I will definitely consider Rumble Boxing Los Olivos next time I am in the market and I encourage you to do the same. Good luck! read more

Rumble Los Olivos has been incredibly disappointing. I canceled my membership over a month ago verbally and in writing with multiple confirmations. Still, my wife and I were each charged $98 again. They take over a week to respond to emails, never answer the phone, and make it nearly impossible to resolve anything. While they are partially on ClassPass, most class times require a full membership, which locks you in and is hard to cancel with made up rules. There's no accountability from management and no urgency to fix problems. Honestly, Jacob is the only reason the lights are still on, he's the one person there who consistently shows up and brings energy. The rest of the experience? Unreliable, frustrating, and not worth it. You're paying a premium price for a cookie-cutter workout with zero personalization or real support. Skip this place. read more

I came in for the first time to try something new and chose a weekend class lead by Courtney! The check in process was really easy and I got my gloves and wraps. I put my stuff away in a locker and found my spot in the room. I really loved the concept of boxing and weights in the same class, so cool! Courtneys energy was incredible and she was so bubbly and happy! Her cues were dead on and I loved her music choices! I got a great workout in and even some aggression out! I had signed up for a month membership after taking a class through classpass because I really enjoyed the workout. The manager, Kristen, signed me up to try out a month for $99 (in which she forged my name and initials in the membership agreement since we were communicating through text). In the first week after only doing one workout , I was mauled in both hands by a dog and asked if I could freeze the rest of the month. After two months, I was feeling stronger in both hands and asked her to unfreeze the membership. There was no reply but I was very surprised to see that I was charged another $99. I reached out through email on June 28th to ask about the charge and followed up a week later (in which I stated I no longer wanted to continue the membership) but didn't receive a reply. I'm pretty upset that I paid $198 for only having taken one class but I have contested the second charge with my bank so we'll see what happens. I decided to write a review today because I got an email from them saying that I was late on payment of $140 for a new month. They never responded to any of my emails and haven't canceled my membership either. Thankfully, the reason my card wasn't charged again was because I asked my bank to block any future charges from them. I've been hopeful that this was a misunderstanding but I'm disappointed by the lack of communication and professionalism from this business. This place is amazing! Whether you are a beginner or have some boxing experience... there is place for you to have a great workout and time. I took my first class with Yvonne as the trainer and it was awesome! Upon entering the class I didn't know anyone and Yvonne was super friendly and welcoming... And when it came down to class Yvonne brought the high energy and got me to another gear I had not gone before. Context: I have roughly 11+ years of lifting/resistance training gym experience and this was a fun challenge in itself! My first class was such a positive vibe and experience that I came back to take another class, but this time with Julian. Julian's class cannot accurately be summed up in any amount of words... Taking his class is something you just have to experience. However, I'll share a quote that resonated me a lot during the training session: "Whether you think you can or can't, either way you're right. You can fight for your limitations or you can fight for your possibilities. Whatever you fight for, you get to keep!" I've been to Rumble locations in New York as well as West Hollywood & I'm not a huge fan of the new franchise format. Overall, the space is very tight. The waiting area and the actual workout space feels very cramped. Although, luckily I have never experienced a full class so I'm moving around in my space and any empty space I can find. I will say that the classes and instructors have improved a lot since their grand opening. Instructors have improved on clarity and structure of the class. Also, the music isn't blasting so you can barely hear anything. The studio has a water refill station along with amenities like deodorant, tampons, etc in the bathroom. One thing I do want to point out is that the towels they offer are a little run down. Also, sometimes they'll smell like mildew or have stains on them. read more

The workouts at Rumble have been fantastic for me. I do not like group exercise classes because I think they are boring and lame. Cycling is tolerable but that's it. The classes at Rumble are super fun and the time just flies by. Great for upper body, cardio and agility. Some classes are half boxing and half floor work that also includes upper body. My favorites are the boxing-only classes. Workouts are in the dark with good music. It serves a purpose because rhythm is the key to boxing footwork. You can make your own workout as hard or easy as you want. The moves you learn are totally legit, but Rumble is not hard core and your only opponent is a bag and yourself, not about getting in the ring with someone. The instructors are all excellent, but Jakob is outstanding. His classes can be very challenging, if you want them to be. The combinations he teaches build on one another and change constantly. He is also a real performer and he can be hilarious. I don't understand the negative reviews. There is an art to reading reviews and sometimes it is apparent that the person had unrealistic expectations or did something rude to provoke what they consider to be a bad response. read more

Front desk was amazing, trainers were also amazing. Atmosphere was good very hyped, one community. But not for me, this place is perfect for burning cardio and focusing on different muscle group as everyday, everyday, workouts be different. They do a good job making ranking systems of how many class you attend which is almost like a leaderboard which helps keep members motivated to reach their weight goals with a fun twist to it. Only downside is that its not meant for technicality but for burning those cals. Love the staff though, very cheerful, energetic, and they seem to love what they do! His music choice is top shelf, his cues to make sure you're lifting or punching correctly is on-point and demonstrates his experience. And lastly, he always closes the class with a mini meditation dropping just the right knowledge you need to keep going. If he leaves this location I'm out. He's the GOAT! Environment: Front desk is usually really nice and welcoming. Restrooms look clean. If you bring a water bottle, they provide cold filtered water which I appreciate. For anyone who has given Rumble money: As per California's Department of Consumer Affairs, Health Studio Services Contract Law, you are entitled to a refund since the club has not opened within 6 months of the agreement date and since services and facilities have not been provided or available for use as promised. I signed up for a free class. In the intro email it says "gloves and wraps are required. Gloves are available for $3 rental and wraps are for purchase." It doesn't mention the cost of the wraps. I check in for a 715a class and the person at the front tells me wraps are $25. I told her that you should tell people that. Her response was "I don't know who you talked to, but we do tell people that." I didn't talk to anyone, it was automated email confirmation. This is bad business practice. read more

They didn't notify me when they were opening and then they started charging me my membership fees. To the lower reviews, y'all got to chill. Acting like a bunch of Karen's, we all were in the same boat. We all waited. Opening a gym, especially in Irvine and in Southern California it's not that easy. Good Things take time. That being said. Today was the first opening day. And it was perfect Mitch and his team, we're so on point. Gym is super cool and clean. Everything went so smoothly. Now you have to understand how difficult all this is. And for all this to go so smoothly was very impressive. First class 6 AM Molly. A.k.a. Margarita Molly a.k.a. one hell of a motivator and boxing teacher. 45 minutes plus a few bonus minutes of intense boxing and cardio and some weight work. I'm still trying to stay positive about the opening but have not seen any posts, no pumping anyone up about the opening arriving anytime soon , I did write multiple times on Instagram and I asked if there was an official open date yet and they did reply to me saying July 18-August 1st but that's still very broad and isn't really a definitive answer. But I am still trying to be patient since it's right across the street from me and I'm so excited to try a workout like this because I think it's perfect for me. So we shall see. So excited to have Rumble finally come to the OC. It took a while for this one to open up but it was totally worth the wait. One of my favorite trainers Julian is part of the opening crew and if you get a chance take his class, DO IT!! He is such an inspiration and always brings the hard beats. His class is like going to church (in a non religious way). He pushes you to fight whatever is going on inside and you just walk out feeling like you did some work. Finally! A Rumble In the OC area instead of driving far to West Hollywood. It is located near Irvine Spectrum in the plaza where panini Kabob is. The parking isn't bad due to where Rumble is located at so I was able to find parking. The location itself is not as big as the one I'm West Hollywood but it is close. Also gets the job done of what you came to Rumble for. So I see it as a win win, the plus side is you have an amazing Trainer at that location. I took Julian's class and let me tell you.. I died the next day(which is a good thing). His music selection is great if you love EDM. You def get that workout that you came here for while leaving with great energy and some personal transformation. ;) Def recommend coming to try Rumble whether it's your first time or not. I went to ONE class at Rumble Boxing. I signed up after, even though a little hesitant as I have a full time job and have two kids. Rumble was 15 miles away from me and difficult commute. After a day, I realized it wasn't manageable and requested to cancel immediately. They gave me the run around and did not reply to my email either. I had to go back and forth many times to cancel and they kept trying to charge my card. Their GM, Dalaney is extremely rude and keeps emailing me 15 times and threatening to send the charge to collections if I don't pay for a service I cancelled immediately. Moreover, they want me to pay for 2 months, which is upto 430 dollars almost. I work very hard for my money. I also work for an ecommerce company in customer service and we are very reasonable with our customers and forgo extra fees and honor cancellations, even if they are outside the terms. It makes me think they are desperate for members and money. Stay away! Completely unreasonable. I returned back to my local 9Round. Even when I had to previously cancel my membership, they did not bother me with next month's fees or termination fees, etc. The incessant amount of emails I am receiving from this business after cancellation is absurd. First time I took a Rumble class was in Henderson, NV for one of Julian Doan's classes. I never had such a brutal yet rewarding 45min workout! So when I found out they were having a grand opening at their new facility in Irvine, I just had to go (it's right in my backyard)!
