I was going to let this go, but it seems that this business cannot handle a negative comment towards their business. This was over a year ago. You have hundreds of positive reviews, responding to my negative comment does not help you in the slightest and only furthers my dislike for this gym. You are correct, you cannot please everyone. But your elitist and exclusionary type of behavior that you have so brought forth needs to be addressed weather you like it or not. My comment should not affect your business, that is your job to keep it running and address what has been stated on Yelp. If you are going to spend time revisiting this to just undermine what I have said then you clearly do not know how to handle customers. I believe you posted this on here to get back and refute what I said, and that's sad and disappointing. You cannot change what has happened, accept it and move on. And lastly, I was let go and banned from this gym on your own accord. I reported the incident several times and have documented proof of what has happened. I think this is a sad way of running a business. Good luck, and Merry Christmas. read more

This gym has changed my life. I was relatively active and healthy coming in, had tried all sorts of other gyms, from 24, to cycle, to pilates, to yoga, you name it. Never really stuck to any, never in my life thought I'd be doing crossfit. The Level Method makes crossfit attainable fo everyone. Their scaled system makes it so that you work as hard as you can to your own ability, and you are judged against yourself. You learn proper form and good habits that prevent injury and don't move to new more complicated steps until you are strong smoggy and technically ready. I'm down 30 lbs in 1 year, not only have I had fitness training, but a complete wellbeing experience. From nutrition workshops, to breathing exercisers. It's well rounded. The coaches are personally very invested in each of the members and work with individual needs. They are extremely encouraging, and inspirations themselves. The people are genuine. Everyone really wants everyone succeed. It's a small family without trying. People just care. I had never experienced his in a gym before. read more

3 years later and this gym gets better every day. The team invest so much time and energy in improving the gym and the Level Method. You get 5 different workout options more than any other gym in the area and of course expert coaches to customize even more. A true gem. Would highly recommend. read more

This place is awesome. Nathan (coach/owner) has almost a decade of crossfit experience, is actively competing and involved with the crossfit community and really knows is stuff. He's constantly working on providing good, comprehensive information to his members that's backed by his own results (he always walks the talk). All of the coaches are wonderful and they're constantly trying new things to help members get results and take control of their fitness. Big space, lots of members, and good support from the team. Check it out. read more

Welcome to your new family. Community. This gym has the best community I have ever experienced. Everyone is welcomed with open arms, everyone supports each other. We laugh, we sweat, we have movie nights, bbq's. Of course there is competition, but it is all respectful. The group at this gym have become my second family - a family that I am not sure I know how I ever lived without. Training. This gym trains smarter. There is no "gymtimidation." There is no judgment for scaling, only respect gained when everyone sees you give it your all, which means something different to everyone. Coaches. The most amazing coaches you will find. 100% committed to your success, no matter what. A diverse mixture of expertise and compassion, each with a desire to push you to your limit, but not over it. Results. You WILL get results. This gym will affect areas of your life even outside the WOD. It will teach you about nutrition, supplements, consistency, etc. You will learn how to be a better athlete as well as a better human. See you in there soon! read more

I've only started coming here 3 months ago and I already feel I've progressed so much more than I've expected. They have everything you look for in a crossfit gym. -Clean equipment -Spacious gym -Friendly atmosphere -Knowledgable and motivating coaches -In-house competitions -Active community on social media -Personal attention from coaches (always focussing on your goals and improving your weaknesses) I honestly can't think of a con. If you're looking for a crossfit gym, I highly recommend that you come check it out. read more

I have NEVER had as much personal attention in a group fitness setting! These Crossfit workouts are no joke and coming to Next Level is 100% the best decision I have made in a really long time! the coaches and members are close knit and like a family and very friendly, I am glad I found this gym and I definitely recommend Next Level for EVERYONE who has been looking for a new gym to call their "home" for their fitness goals! read more

Great location, right off the 5 FWY with easy access to the parking lot. Plenty of parking with front and back spots. Very safe! This new location is AWESOME! Facility is clean, equipment is clean, fantastic restrooms with a dedicated area to place your items. What I love about this place is that they carry Paleo snacks, cold drinks like water and coconut water, protein powders, fish oils, supplements and a staff that is very knowledgeable about nutrition, programming and goal setting. The programming is top-notch and allows the athletic to take their fitness to the next level. Classes are in the morning, mid-morning and evenings. I go to the early morning sessions and the energy is GREAT! Currently the early AM class averages about 4 people but the other classes can average10 or more. I like that you have to sign up for the classes you want to take which gives more structure to the WODS, also give the groups a competitive edge. They do have OPEN GYM. The coaches are AWESOME and push you to finish strong. read more

This is my best money spent each month. The best thing: The atmosphere Kick ass crew of coaches that are friendly and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of nutrition, fitness, and mobility. The place is big, open and loaded with awesomeness. The members are just great. Everyone is there for the same reason, they all want to see you succeed. Ego's are left at the door. The reason why this place is successful: The programming There is SO much combined experience and knowledge among the coaches. The very same guys and gals that are coaching are also out there competing at local and regional levels. From new to Crossfit to competitor level, these guys got you covered. The programming is on point. Crossfit? Got it. powerlifting? Got it. Olympic weightlifting? Got that too. Let's not forget the mobility center and yoga room. There are weekly classes where the coaches can provide the best maintenance for your body. On a final note. I've been a member for 5 months now and my biggest regret was not joining 2 years ago when I first found out about this place. Now, every time I walk in through those doors I know that my life would have improved by the time I walked back out. It's pretty awesome to know that. Mad props to the Next Level crew. read more

I've been a member of a couple crossfit gyms, but I've finally found a place to call home. Next Level has a beautiful facility, but what really sets them apart is the coaching staff. They really care about your health, results, and goals. Highly recommended. read more

Next Level Crossfit has made a HUGE impact on my life this year. I have been a member since 2013 and the support and coaching I have received through this gym have been amazing. The people, the coaches, the environment - all of it - has pushed me harder than I ever thought I could push myself and I am so thankful for every minute I have spent at Next Level Crossfit. Next Level is top notch and I highly recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to make a positive change in their lives. read more

Before coming to Level Method Gym (LMG), I did Crossfit for about 15 months at a local Crossfit gym in Dallas, Texas. I really enjoyed my last gym, the people, and the programming. I felt much stronger, athletic, and more confident tenfold since before I started there. I moved out to SoCal in early August, which meant I needed to find a new gym. Here comes LMG! Wow! The programming, the people, and the attention to safety is incredible. With Crossfit being stereotypically seen as unsafe, this gym does an amazing job breaking that mold. The "method" behind the the levels is genius and the coaches have been very intentional in my progression to becoming stronger and more athletic. I am in the best shape in my life and I feel as though I owe a lot of that to this gym. If you are looking for a Crossfit gym that invests in its members, has safe programming, and will encourage you with tools to be healthy and get in great shape, this gym is the one! read more

This is the best decision I've made living in Orange County. After two years, I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life. I came from a running and soccer background but weight lifting was foreign to me. I felt welcome from day one and have felt supported and encouraged since then. The community of members and coaches is what makes this place special to me. The coaches are passionate about what they do. I see it in the way they attend to us individually because they can with a max class size of 8. They modify for you when necessary and tell you to add more weight when you're ready. I feel safe and encouraged in every class, even when it's tough I feel like they know what's best. I also feel like I have someone cheering me on. The members are kind and I've never felt embarrassed as a new member or left out. I've learned so much more than how to weight lift. I've cleaned up my nutrition, learned how to stretch and maintain my body, I've even learned how to meditate. There is so much more here than a place to workout and that's why I love it. read more

This gym is amazing!!I have done several workouts and challenges here and the motivation and positive vibes with upbeat attitudes are just what someone like me needs. I have always struggled with weight and having a coach that brings you up and pushes you further than you ever thought you could push yourself, is motivating and inspiring! If you are looking for a group of wonderful people to help achieve your goals.... You have found your GYM! read more

When I moved to OC I was so worried about finding a new gym. I shopped around trying to find something that not only fit my fitness needs, but also had people I could connect with. Level Method exceeds both of these areas, and so many more. I'm a stickler for good form, strong foundations, and knowing how to scale appropriately - I feel extremely safe at Level Method and that each coach knows how to push me or help me scale appropriately. All of the coaches have taken a personal interest in my growth. Checking in on me, asking how I'm doing physically, mentally, emotionally. It's more than just a "good workout". It's somewhere I can go to learn about myself, nutrition, being physically fit, and making healthy choices so I can live my best life - now and in the future. Level Method is truly a gem and I'm so glad to have found this place. read more

So I used to be a member here. I attended the gym from 2013 to the end of 2014. I had to leave this gym because I moved. I'm going to give as honest a review as I can, though I may suffer negative consequences for doing so. (There's a reason why I waited until I left the gym before I made this review.) Pros: * Good programming (their strength cycles really helped me get strong. I also got my first pull-up here!) * Coaches are available and helpful, and they compete as well. * They do have a play area with a window for kids. So that your child can be there while you workout. * Active on social media - There's a FB group for the community in which coaches will update users, and share events. There's also occasional nutrition challenges in which video lectures will be made available. Cons (Most of these are minor issues, which won't apply to most people): * Open Gym hours aren't as widely available as the website indicates. (There were some instances where I went to the gym during the advertised open gym hours, and nobody was there. The best policy is to notify the gym at least a day in advance if you plan to come in during open gym hours.) * (Not trying to make fun of the coaches) There were some instances where we ran out of time during WODs, and we'd have to cut the workout short. I.e. Skip a round, or stay longer if you want to finish. This typically was because the warm-up took too long, or something else took longer than expected. From my experience, this most commonly happens during the noon classes. Rant: There was just one instance where I felt kinda disrespected(?), and it was when I attended a morning class and I was the only person there. The coach basically said I had the option to do the prescribed workout, but it was "open gym" (meaning I could work on whatever I wanted), and the coach would be in the office. The coach was nice and said that I could come grab him if I needed any help, but I was just free to work on my own. I felt kinda weird from that experience, I was hoping for basically 1-on-1 personal training if nobody else showed up for class. I understand that the coach was possibly thinking that I had enough experience with all the movements, and that since I regularly went to open gym, that I would be happy/fine with a regular class being "open gym," but I would have liked it if he offered to stay during whatever I did, instead of just going back to his office and being "available." That was the only "negative" experience that I had at the gym, and 99% of the time this wouldn't happen, because it's rare that a class only has 1 person show up. This gym is great, and unless you're an "open gym"-freak like me. You probably won't have any issues. Edit: 4/28/2015 - Added another con - time management during class. read more

As another coach in the fitness industry I have nothing but great things to say about Nathan Holiday and his crew at the Level Method Gym! Nathan Is a driven and passionate coach, who shares his knowledge with the fitness industry and is constantly researching and developing ways to improve a person's fitness and lifestyle. I have had the pleasure of learning from him first hand greatly improving my ability to design programs and understand energy systems. If you are looking for a gym that is results driven, has a strong and supportive community, that will take care of you for the LONG TERM, then I highly recommend you become apart of Level Method Gym! read more

I was working out at a crossfit gym in Los Angeles from 2012 to 2013 and loved it. After a hiatus and move to OC I looked at a couple crossfit gyms and liked Next Level because of the size of the gym (it is really nice to have space). I also enjoy working with the coaches. Another major draw for me is the fact that they have classes in the evening. This is critical for me. I really enjoy the gym and would recommend it to anyone!!!! Come check it out! read more

I dropped in here when I was working in Orange County and I loved it. The facility is nice but what I loved is that everyone was super welcoming and encouraging. I called ahead of time and the trainer that was there sent me an email and signed me into class. She treated me like a member and coached me as if she was coaching me regularly. At the end she spent time talking to me about my goals and told me to drop in anytime I was in the area. I will most definitely be coming back next time I am in the area. read more

This crossfit gym is, pardon the pun, on another level. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful & kind. The way that they conduct themselves permeates to the members and creates a wonderful environment to grow both your body & mind. Having coaches like Nathan, Sean, Lamarr, Alex, and Mike is a blessing. Each one of them brings something unique to the table, but they all have the same strong foundation when it comes to fitness. Definitely check this place out. You'll be glad you did. read more

I have been a member at Level Method Gym for a little over year and it has changed my life in more ways then one! They really care about the whole person and have built a strong community of awesome people that all encourage one another towards their goals. The small class sizes lend to very individualized training and the coaches are extremely adept at making modifications appropriate for whatever your fitness level may be. Everyone is tested when they first enter and are assigned a level according to the Level Method MAP that has been created by the Owner, Nathan Holiday. This MAP makes it very easy to see exactly where you are in your fitness journey and gives you practical goals to work towards in order to level up! Having started at ground zero (when it comes to crossfit and weight training), I can now say that this form of physical fitness has become something I truly enjoy and look forward to doing each and every day. The results have been incredible, both in what I am now able to do (I have progressed 4 levels so far), as well as in how I look and feel! It has helped build a confidence in myself that I never had before, despite always living a very active lifestyle. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to make a big change in their life! You wont find a more committed team of coaches and members dedicated to getting to know you and helping you reach your goals, whatever they may be! read more

I love my NextLevel family here. Especially the coaches. They truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk into the gym for the first time, to the events they hold to keep us close as a family. I've tried other gyms in the past and I never felt the sense of welcome especially after being told I would have to do a fundamentals type class for over a month or until they "felt I was ready" to jump into a real crossfit class. Being athletic most my life, that really annoyed me that I couldn't actually work out especially having to pay like a regular member. That doesn't happen here at NextLevel! The moment you walk in, they access you with a baseline workout to see where you're at but also, use that baseline to compare your growth later down the road! Then you can jump into any class and they work with you as you go. Every class has a movement recap so that you know how to do the movements. Therefore- everyone is welcome...anytime, any day! You won't get that at most gyms. This just shows how much NextLevel cares about their family. They are constantly testing your growth by throwing in benchmark WODs. That is when you can see for yourself how faster, better, stronger you've gotten. Last, they care about your nutrition and are always offering challenges and information about ways to better your health, recovery, fuel your muscles or get lean! Love this place, the end. read more

I've been going to Level Method for 3 years now. I couldn't imagine my life without it! I love the coaches, the workouts and the atmosphere. It's a smaller gym which means smaller classes and more one on one time. The coaches are pros at scaling movements and making sure everyone is doing everything safely. Nathan's Level Method map shows you where you stand as an athlete and let's you know what your weaknesses are. Come check us out! You won't be dissapointed read more

Great gym and great coaches! If you are a regular guy like me without tons of experience with working out or just getting in shape this is the place for you. From the first day I was there they paid tons of attention to me even though it is a group workout setting, they make sure you are doing it right but with a full blown get in shape work out! The "you can do it" push and encouragement, friendly atmosphere they created in this gym has made my experience so positive I couldn't imagine not being there. I love Level Method Gym. I've been coming here for the past two years, and I love everything about this gym. From the moment I walked in, the members and coaches were so welcoming, helpful and supportive. I especially love the small group workouts. You receive individualized attention from the dedicated and knowledgeable coaches, proper lifting techniques and form and most importantly, working out safely without any injuries. They are always watching and correcting to perfect your movements. Every workout is different, I'm never bored and always challenged and I'm constantly learning something new with every visit. The workouts are tough but you exercise at your "level." Their unique platform with tiered levels across 15 categories of fitness is really genius. With this system, you know exactly where you are at and what you need to work at to achieve your next goal. Bottom line- the Level Method way works- I've seen my progress and results and looking forward to getting even stronger! I've been to many gyms in my life but this one is very special and I'm lucky I found them! read more

Great gym and great people. Couldn't be happier with the service. Coaches are always trying to push you and inspire.

This is my 3rd CrossFit box; been a member since January 2015 and I only have good things to say about NLCF. Our coaches give their 200% in everything that they do, from the programming to maintaining the gym. Whether they're coaching or training with you, they pay attention to your form, your execution of the movements and your progression. They'll tell you to scale down if your form is getting compromised or suggest more challenging variations if your ready for it. Training here is not just about working out, you'll learn about nutrition and lifestyle, how to get the most benefit from little changes that you can adopt as your own. They teach you how to make changes to your life style that are sustainable, changes that easily become part of your routine. The coaches live what they preach, they actively train and compete. The members are welcoming and friendly, there is a very strong sense of community. At Next Level CrossFit it's CrossFit at the Next Level, it's more than just training, it's a lifestyle. read more

I started there in February. I'll be honest- I was skeptical at first. They had a deal running about a nutrition challenge, so I joined. I thought I would try it. I had done Martial arts for a long time so I thought, meh..no biggie..another "gym" albeit an expensive one. Crossfit is DIFFERENT. Next Level Crossfit is even more different. They have talented hands on instructors. They want to make sure that you succeed. They will push you, but not hurt you. The camaraderie was and is amazing. I have the best friends there, now. The results you will see are proof enough. I lost 50 lbs. Seriously folks..that's something that 20 years of Martial arts could not do, and that's because they focus on diet, exercise and supporting you. It's the real deal..the whole enchilada...Paleo style of course. I am looking forward to improving more. I imagine I have limits..but I will reach them when I reach them..in the meantime..I hope to see you there. read more
