I was going to let this go, but it seems that this business cannot handle a negative comment towards their business. This was over a year ago. You have hundreds of positive reviews, responding to my negative comment does not help you in the slightest and only furthers my dislike for this gym. You are correct, you cannot please everyone. But your elitist and exclusionary type of behavior that you have so brought forth needs to be addressed weather you like it or not. My comment should not affect your business, that is your job to keep it running and address what has been stated on Yelp. If you are going to spend time revisiting this to just undermine what I have said then you clearly do not know how to handle customers. I believe you posted this on here to get back and refute what I said, and that's sad and disappointing. You cannot change what has happened, accept it and move on. And lastly, I was let go and banned from this gym on your own accord. I reported the incident several times and have documented proof of what has happened. This gym has changed my life. I was relatively active and healthy coming in, had tried all sorts of other gyms, from 24, to cycle, to pilates, to yoga, you name it. Never really stuck to any, never in my life thought I'd be doing crossfit. The Level Method makes crossfit attainable fo everyone. Their scaled system makes it so that you work as hard as you can to your own ability, and you are judged against yourself. You learn proper form and good habits that prevent injury and don't move to new more complicated steps until you are strong smoggy and technically ready. I'm down 30 lbs in 1 year, not only have I had fitness training, but a complete wellbeing experience. From nutrition workshops, to breathing exercisers. It's well rounded. The coaches are personally very invested in each of the members and work with individual needs. They are extremely encouraging, and inspirations themselves. The people are genuine. We laugh, we sweat, we have movie nights, bbq's. Of course there is competition, but it is all respectful. Great location, right off the 5 FWY with easy access to the parking lot. Plenty of parking with front and back spots. Very safe! This new location is AWESOME! Facility is clean, equipment is clean, fantastic restrooms with a dedicated area to place your items. What I love about this place is that they carry Paleo snacks, cold drinks like water and coconut water, protein powders, fish oils, supplements and a staff that is very knowledgeable about nutrition, programming and goal setting. The programming is top-notch and allows the athletic to take their fitness to the next level. Classes are in the morning, mid-morning and evenings. I go to the early morning sessions and the energy is GREAT! Currently the early AM class averages about 4 people but the other classes can average10 or more. I like that you have to sign up for the classes you want to take which gives more structure to the WODS, also give the groups a competitive edge. They do have OPEN GYM. This is my best money spent each month. The best thing: The atmosphere Kick ass crew of coaches that are friendly and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of nutrition, fitness, and mobility. The place is big, open and loaded with awesomeness. The members are just great. Everyone is there for the same reason, they all want to see you succeed. Ego's are left at the door. The reason why this place is successful: The programming There is SO much combined experience and knowledge among the coaches. The very same guys and gals that are coaching are also out there competing at local and regional levels. From new to Crossfit to competitor level, these guys got you covered. The programming is on point. Crossfit? Got it. powerlifting? Got it. Olympic weightlifting? Got that too. Let's not forget the mobility center and yoga room. There are weekly classes where the coaches can provide the best maintenance for your body. On a final note. I've been a member for 5 months now and my biggest regret was not joining 2 years ago when I first found out about this place. Before coming to Level Method Gym (LMG), I did Crossfit for about 15 months at a local Crossfit gym in Dallas, Texas. I really enjoyed my last gym, the people, and the programming. I felt much stronger, athletic, and more confident tenfold since before I started there. I moved out to SoCal in early August, which meant I needed to find a new gym. Here comes LMG! Wow! The programming, the people, and the attention to safety is incredible. With Crossfit being stereotypically seen as unsafe, this gym does an amazing job breaking that mold. The "method" behind the the levels is genius and the coaches have been very intentional in my progression to becoming stronger and more athletic. I am in the best shape in my life and I feel as though I owe a lot of that to this gym. This is the best decision I've made living in Orange County. After two years, I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life. I came from a running and soccer background but weight lifting was foreign to me. I felt welcome from day one and have felt supported and encouraged since then. The community of members and coaches is what makes this place special to me. The coaches are passionate about what they do. I see it in the way they attend to us individually because they can with a max class size of 8. They modify for you when necessary and tell you to add more weight when you're ready. I feel safe and encouraged in every class, even when it's tough I feel like they know what's best. I also feel like I have someone cheering me on. The members are kind and I've never felt embarrassed as a new member or left out. I've learned so much more than how to weight lift. I've cleaned up my nutrition, learned how to stretch and maintain my body, I've even learned how to meditate. There is so much more here than a place to workout and that's why I love it. read more

In my first review I mentioned the community and not being "ordinary". I want to add that the community activities that are spread throughout the year are probably one of the best parts. When I moved to OC I was so worried about finding a new gym. I shopped around trying to find something that not only fit my fitness needs, but also had people I could connect with. Level Method exceeds both of these areas, and so many more. I'm a stickler for good form, strong foundations, and knowing how to scale appropriately - I feel extremely safe at Level Method and that each coach knows how to push me or help me scale appropriately. All of the coaches have taken a personal interest in my growth. Checking in on me, asking how I'm doing physically, mentally, emotionally. It's more than just a "good workout". I joined many other big gyms before but I never stick with it for that long. Level Method Gym is very different. The owner and the coaches are very knowledgeable and genuine. They care and help everyone at his/her individual level. They have a MAP that can help anyone at any level of fitness to improve upon. I never do any running in my entire life. Within 5.5 months of getting personal trainings with coach Alexandra Bardales and doing gym class at Level Method Gym, I completed one 5K run and two Half Marathons with great timings. So I used to be a member here. I attended the gym from 2013 to the end of 2014. I had to leave this gym because I moved. I'm going to give as honest a review as I can, though I may suffer negative consequences for doing so. (There's a reason why I waited until I left the gym before I made this review.) Pros: * Good programming (their strength cycles really helped me get strong. I also got my first pull-up here!) * Coaches are available and helpful, and they compete as well. * They do have a play area with a window for kids. So that your child can be there while you workout. * Active on social media - There's a FB group for the community in which coaches will update users, and share events. There's also occasional nutrition challenges in which video lectures will be made available. Cons (Most of these are minor issues, which won't apply to most people): * Open Gym hours aren't as widely available as the website indicates. (There were some instances where I went to the gym during the advertised open gym hours, and nobody was there. The best policy is to notify the gym at least a day in advance if you plan to come in during open gym hours.) * (Not trying to make fun of the coaches) There were some instances where we ran out of time during WODs, and we'd have to cut the workout short. I.e. Skip a round, or stay longer if you want to finish. This typically was because the warm-up took too long, or something else took longer than expected. From my experience, this most commonly happens during the noon classes. Rant: There was just one instance where I felt kinda disrespected(?), and it was when I attended a morning class and I was the only person there. The coach basically said I had the option to do the prescribed workout, but it was "open gym" (meaning I could work on whatever I wanted), and the coach would be in the office. The coach was nice and said that I could come grab him if I needed any help, but I was just free to work on my own. I felt kinda weird from that experience, I was hoping for basically 1-on-1 personal training if nobody else showed up for class. I understand that the coach was possibly thinking that I had enough experience with all the movements, and that since I regularly went to open gym, that I would be happy/fine with a regular class being "open gym," but I would have liked it if he offered to stay during whatever I did, instead of just going back to his office and being "available." That was the only "negative" experience that I had at the gym, and 99% of the time this wouldn't happen, because it's rare that a class only has 1 person show up. This gym is great, and unless you're an "open gym"-freak like me. You probably won't have any issues. Edit: 4/28/2015 - Added another con - time management during class. read more

I was working out at a crossfit gym in Los Angeles from 2012 to 2013 and loved it. After a hiatus and move to OC I looked at a couple crossfit gyms and liked Next Level because of the size of the gym (it is really nice to have space). I also enjoy working with the coaches. I dropped in here when I was working in Orange County and I loved it. The facility is nice but what I loved is that everyone was super welcoming and encouraging. I called ahead of time and the trainer that was there sent me an email and signed me into class. She treated me like a member and coached me as if she was coaching me regularly. At the end she spent time talking to me about my goals and told me to drop in anytime I was in the area. I will most definitely be coming back next time I am in the area. read more

I have been a member at Level Method Gym for a little over year and it has changed my life in more ways then one! They really care about the whole person and have built a strong community of awesome people that all encourage one another towards their goals. The small class sizes lend to very individualized training and the coaches are extremely adept at making modifications appropriate for whatever your fitness level may be. Everyone is tested when they first enter and are assigned a level according to the Level Method MAP that has been created by the Owner, Nathan Holiday. This MAP makes it very easy to see exactly where you are in your fitness journey and gives you practical goals to work towards in order to level up! Having started at ground zero (when it comes to crossfit and weight training), I can now say that this form of physical fitness has become something I truly enjoy and look forward to doing each and every day. The results have been incredible, both in what I am now able to do (I have progressed 4 levels so far), as well as in how I look and feel! I love my NextLevel family here. Especially the coaches. They truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk into the gym for the first time, to the events they hold to keep us close as a family. I've tried other gyms in the past and I never felt the sense of welcome especially after being told I would have to do a fundamentals type class for over a month or until they "felt I was ready" to jump into a real crossfit class. Being athletic most my life, that really annoyed me that I couldn't actually work out especially having to pay like a regular member. That doesn't happen here at NextLevel! The moment you walk in, they access you with a baseline workout to see where you're at but also, use that baseline to compare your growth later down the road! Then you can jump into any class and they work with you as you go. Every class has a movement recap so that you know how to do the movements. Therefore- everyone is welcome...anytime, any day! You won't get that at most gyms. This just shows how much NextLevel cares about their family. They are constantly testing your growth by throwing in benchmark WODs. That is when you can see for yourself how faster, better, stronger you've gotten. I love Level Method Gym. I've been coming here for the past two years, and I love everything about this gym. From the moment I walked in, the members and coaches were so welcoming, helpful and supportive. I especially love the small group workouts. You receive individualized attention from the dedicated and knowledgeable coaches, proper lifting techniques and form and most importantly, working out safely without any injuries. They are always watching and correcting to perfect your movements. Every workout is different, I'm never bored and always challenged and I'm constantly learning something new with every visit. From the first day I was there they paid tons of attention to me even though it is a group workout setting, they make sure you are doing it right but with a full blown get in shape work out! I started there in February. I'll be honest- I was skeptical at first. They had a deal running about a nutrition challenge, so I joined. I thought I would try it. I had done Martial arts for a long time so I thought, meh..no biggie..another "gym" albeit an expensive one. Crossfit is DIFFERENT. Next Level Crossfit is even more different. They have talented hands on instructors. They want to make sure that you succeed. They will push you, but not hurt you. The camaraderie was and is amazing. I have the best friends there, now. The results you will see are proof enough. I lost 50 lbs. Seriously folks..that's something that 20 years of Martial arts could not do, and that's because they focus on diet, exercise and supporting you. It's the real deal..the whole enchilada...Paleo style of course. I am looking forward to improving more.
