She assured me she could, and I offered to email her our order since she indicated she was going out boating for the entire day, and wouldn't see the order until Sunday. I sent the email with all the pertinent information on Saturday evening, and didn't hear anything until I woke up on Monday morning. She responded with, "sorry, we don't do these types of cakes, try Jack's." What "types" of cakes? Birthday? Round? The flavors listed on her website? If she didn't have time or preferred not to make these types of cakes, I would have respected and appreciated an honest response. Even better, if she would have said so when I spoke with her on the phone describing the cake for a 7-year-old birthday party, with a horse on it. Then I wouldn't have to rush around at the last minute during our vacation to find a different bakery to complete the cake. I would not recommend this bakery. Perhaps she provides better customer service to hometown residents, who knows.
