I'm incredibly disappointed and honestly heartbroken over an experience I recently had with Hub…read moreHobby regarding my Traxxas T-Maxx/X-Maxx RC truck. I dropped the truck off for repair, and while I understood repairs can sometimes take a while, the process took a very long time. Eventually, I received one phone call letting me know the repair had been completed. Unfortunately, after 90 days of not picking it up, I later learned that the truck had been surrendered. What's hardest for me to understand is that I never received a second phone call, voicemail, warning, or any kind of notice that my truck was about to be surrendered. Not one. What makes this especially frustrating is that over the years I've received numerous phone calls from the store over much smaller things -- special-ordered parts, minor items, and other routine pickups. So it's difficult for me to understand why there wasn't more effort made to contact me over something worth nearly $2,000 and carrying so much personal value. This hobby store means a lot to me personally. My late father used to take me there when I was younger, and some of my best memories with him came from spending time there together. These days, I love bringing my own two children there and sharing the same hobby with them. That's why this situation feels so devastating. It wasn't just an RC truck to me. It represented years of memories, time, money, and something meaningful I shared across generations of my family. I understand businesses have policies, and I'm not trying to attack anyone personally. I just truly wish more effort had been made before permanently surrendering something that clearly meant so much to a longtime customer. I still hope there's some way this situation can be made right.

If you want a board game: Yes! If you want a TCG (magic,…read moreLorcana, One Piece, etc.): NO The staff is super kind and knowledgeable. This particular location has a good amount of board games available. So great for picking up or discovering a new board game. TCGs are a joke. They have no respect for MSRP (how much the retailer says its cost is). They will GOUGE you. They don't respect regular players. Playing weekly will not save you from the potential 4 times as much upcharge for product. When they receive *free* promos to give out for weekly TCGs- they won't make you go another round to have an ultimate winner- you can go undefeated and they still will not give you the "winners" pack. All other game stores in MN wouldn't keep their free promos like that. Again, staff is great- be kind. But DONT make this your new card shop. The company doesn't care about you at all- straight vultures.

My old one has worn out and I couldn't find one in Office Depot or Staples, to just buy just a cover. I checked online and it said that Hobby Lobby likely carries them.. So my first visit today in search for a cover. And no, I couldn't find one, even though I came across other binder covers that could probably work...but they were too bulky :-( I was surprised how big this store was and that it carried a wide variety of merchandise though. Even though I didn't find the Day Planner Cover I was in search of, I did end up buying some office supply nick knacks that can come in handy someday.... I don't know if I will back, since this store is a little out of the way for me, but it was an interesting field trip!
