Don't be in a rush. It is worth the short wait.

The staff was so friendly! Very small quaint burger place. Based on all the thank you notes posted on the wall they are huge community supporters. The Banita Burger has heat! Make sure you have a hankering for the heat. It is fabulous! Don't pass by this little hole-in-wall joint without stopping! The "Special" is different but very good!

    Inside dining area.

Don't be scared by the rustic exterior. This place has great food, service, and character! Raul is the super nice owner. Loved stopping here. Highly recommended!

Great little spot for lunch. Very friendly folks. I had the club with fries. They had a green Chile CB I will try next time.

The old Dairy Bee! The burger was great!

Very friendly local restaurant. The dining room is cozy, and the food was good. We were passing through town and this was a quick stop.

Everything about this place was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the fries were delicious, and they have a great selection of beers to go with it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Our waiter, Drew, went above and beyond. He took the time to walk us through the menu, answered all our questions, and kept bringing extra sauces, jalapeños, and anything else we might want without us even having to ask. Another young man named Zo stopped by our table twice just to check in and make sure everything was perfect and to see if there was anything he could do to make our visit even better. That kind of attention and genuine hospitality really made an impression. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. My mom and I might be a little older than some of the crowd, but we felt completely comfortable and right at home. Great food, great vibe, and outstanding service. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Lubbock!

I went in for a late lunch on a Wednesday and there were only a handfull of people so I cant comment much on the vibe but its spacious and looks like it could be a fun place to hang out. I decided in the Guinness burger paired with a Guinness. It was deliciuos. Perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. The fries had a nice seasoning and I loved the Sriracha ketchup. I hope to come back soon to try another delicious burger.

If you are looking for white tablecloths, subtle lighting, or a quiet place to whisper sweet…read morenothings, keep driving past Coyote Bluff Cafe (often locally called the "Coyote Bluu" or simply "The Bluff") in Amarillo, Texas. But if your idea of culinary heaven involves a grease-stained paper liner, an old-school Texas roadhouse vibe, and a burger that requires structural support, you have arrived at the right place. Nestled just a few blocks off Interstate 40 in a historic, diminutive former dance hall moved wholesale from neighboring Claude, Texas, Coyote Bluff is tiny. With only about 12 tables packed into its 1,000 square feet, the atmosphere is alive with a loud, friendly hum, a dirt parking lot, and a vintage bathtub floating full of ice and cold beer bottles. The place is amazing!!!! The unique steaming process is really amazing. You have to try the chili cheese fries to go with it. The menu keeps its focus tight, centering around half-pound patties of lean Texas ground beef cooked to order. While traditional options like the Hickory Burger and the Green Chili Cheese Burger are stellar, the undisputed heavyweight titleholder here is the legendary Burger from Hell. I had to try it, my wife opted for the Chicken Fried Steak. Many approach the "Hell Burger" with great trepidation, expecting it to be more of a gimmick built strictly on painful, mouth-numbing heat. Instead, it offers a beautifully layered flavor profile. The beef patty with Tabasco and their proprietary "Coyote Hell Sauce," then smothers it in gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and fresh, vibrant sautéed jalapeños. It arrived on a toasted onion bun, it lands a solid 7 out of 10 on the heat scale. But rather than scorching your palate, it wraps it in a vinegary, spicy, deeply savory warmth. This place also serves up classic, heavy-hitting Texas roadhouse appetizers: Each of these are amazing sides and are worth of mentioning, First the Cheese Fries with Green Chiles, which I had with my burger and my wife had with her Chicken fried steak, it is served on a massive aluminum platter, these fresh-cut fries are heavily blanketed in melted cheese and mild green chiles. They are a mandatory companion to the burgers.  Other appetizers worth of note, are the Texas Red Chili & Green Chili Stew: The thick, hearty green chili stew is packed with meat and mild green peppers, offering a wonderful warming comfort, especially during cool Panhandle days.  and any of the Fried options ranging from baskets of battered fried pickles, garlic mushrooms, and stuffed jalapeños. Because everything is cooked to order and the dining room is incredibly compact, expect a wait during lunch rushes or weekends. However, that time spent waiting in the dirt lot among locals and passing road-trippers is part of the charm. Coyote Bluff Cafe doesn't try to be anything other than a spectacular, small-town Texas burger joint, and it executes that identity flawlessly. This is a MUST Stop in Texas

We sat right down but by the time we left there were groups waiting outside for a table. The servers were busy and worked quickly. We had a Mushroom Swiss and a California Burger and a basket of fries and onion rings. The burgers are huge and cooked perfectly. Don't wear your nice clothes because these are drippy, messy burgers and that's what makes them so good. The fries are fresh cut and seasoned well. The onion rings were also really good.

I like…read moretrying chili burgers because not only are they one of my favorites but I get to see how they make their chili and patty at the same time. Is it homemade chili? Homemade patty and seasoned? Soggy bun or toasted? There was a spot in the front to get a carhop so I parked. It didn't take long before a young girl came to ask for my order. Nothing else seemed that appetizing besides the chili burger anyway so I ordered that. "Mexican food" consisted of nachos. Only after the fact did I see onions rings but thought the burger was enough. No prices on the menu which made me suspicious but how much would a sort of fast food/diner cost me? Didn't expect to pay over $8 but yep. Quite a lot. The burger was only okay. Nothing unique. Nothing to write home about at all. The chili was only slightly different from a Sonic chili burger and honestly, Sonic has more flavor in theirs sadly. I wasn't offered any options for the chili burger and none listed on the menu. Chili burger is what the menu says and that's what you get. No option for onions or grilled onions or anything else. It's definitely not worth $8. Maaaaaybe $4-6 and $6 being generous. $8 should come with fries at least. Basic flavor. Basic presentation. Then you're most likely feeling the need to tip on top of that. The parking area was at least clean. People coming and going makes you think it's a popular spot but makes me wonder if there's better places to go even if I had to walk inside. Great place to pick up food for the kids, grandparents or a quick bite but don't expect much if you want flavor. You pay more than what you get.

Not seeing any other parking, I inadvertently parked in the 'Car Hop' section and quickly got a friendly lady to take our order. We had planned on going in.. but hey maybe this would be faster and get us back on the road. That was not the case. It took a really long time for couple of burgers to come out. I could not see a menu or what selections. So, we asked for the 'standard' cheeseburger and fries. When she did return with burgers, they were hot and the order correct. Not the best burgers with a over toasted bun and fairly dry meat... but it was dinner of sorts. The fries were to the usual fast food pre-cooked frozen fries. Nothing to write home about. The service; the car hop was friendly and pleasant. Ambiance; I did go in to use the restroom and over all, I would say Holly's has not had an upgrade since the 1990's. So, ambiance is leftover American Graffiti. With lots of wear and tear. Still worth a stop for nostalgia.
