We recently came to Ruhe152 on a double-date on a Saturday night. Definitely call ahead and get a reservation - there was a 90-minute wait for walk-ins and it was very busy! Thankfully, we had reservations and had a table in 5 minutes. Our waitress Alex was really helpful and patient with our menu questions even though she had a lot of work to do. She walked us through the beer options (all brewed in-house) and let us try as many as we wanted before ordering. It was great service that really stood out on a packed evening. The food is great! We split the Brussel Sprouts and Tipsy Tots as appetizers. Both were outrageously good! The amount of flavor in the sprouts dish would make any child eat their vegetables. The tots came with bacon and beer cheese, but also had a subtle Asian flavor (soy sauce, maybe?) that really worked well all together. I ordered the Triple B Burger with sweet potato fries. It was so good - the beer cheese and onion ring elevated the burger and the fries are outstanding. I also had the "Increase the Pace" beer, which was a great complement to the meal. This was our second visit and the food & service were just as excellent as the first. I thought the excellence & consistency deserved a five star review! The menu was scaled down since our first dining experience over a year ago (we are from out of state) due to Covid & current supply shortages. Still, there were plenty of good menu offerings. We both ordered a salad with grilled chicken. We were quite surprised to have our salads arrive topped with a generous, hot grilled, seasoned half breast of real (not salad bar chopped) chicken! Yum! I love this restaurant for this little Midwestern town that has great food. I love sitting at the bar because the bartenders are Friendly and the service is outstanding. This is the second time I had a spinach artichoke dip and this time it wasn't as good but still very tasty. I usually get a flaming young and someone suggested I try the ribeye it was very tasty but as most ribeyes are too fatty for me; I definitely I'm sticking to my filets. My dinner guest had the pork chop and didn't care for it, but has eaten here before and loved it. First time going this past weekend. The service was pretty slow, but our server was very kind to us as well as the manager. The Brussels sprouts were awesome. I ordered the crunchy roll and the rice was undercooked so I didn't end up finishing my meal. With the prices and quality I probably won't return. read more

My wife and I cannot say enough about Ruhe! We were forced to change our original wedding plans, and reached out to Ruhe last minute in hopes we could host our reception dinner there. Kami worked closely with us to coordinate details, and make sure that everything was taken care of. When it came to the night of the reception, the staff exceeded expectations. Everyone was professional, polite, and friendly. Everything went off without a hitch and we never had to lift a finger. Everyone raved about the food (especially the mashed potatoes). The staff made us feel special, and made sure that all of our guests were taken care of. Ryan was in charge of our bar, and kept things moving quickly. To be completely honest, the entire night could not have gone more perfectly. We are so incredibly thankful for everyone at Ruhe for making our wedding day everything we could have imagined and more. read more

We were there for a birthday group and it had been a year since our last visit. First, the brewery is filthy. The tops of the tanks had filth on them. No pride! Second the food, the filet was tiny and not a representation of 6 oz. The sushi, which came to the table dead last was tasteless, plated in a mess and was inedible. The OMG name was for the $22 I paid for it. It is obvious the standards have dropped significantly. Overall, I think we took our last trip to ruhe. They also mandated a 20% tip on our party of 7 when it says in the menu parties of 8 or more. Bad form!! It's a shame! They had so much promise during the pandemic. read more

There isn't one the negative I can say about our experience, the staff, the food, the beer! I even asked the server if she could do something wrong just so it wasn't so perfect. If you enjoy FLAVOR this is the place. I love seeing small business doing great things and Ruhe152 is doing everything right! Looking forward to making this a regular stop! We started with the Tempura Deviled Eggs- Fluffy crisp full of flavor! The Fried Green Tomatoes were very yummy and again full of flavor. We split the Swiss Burger- We were a little tentative on the cooking temp of M-MW (so many times you get a hockey puck) this was perfect cooked and still juicy and again flavorful! We topped off lunch with the Flourless Chocolate which I haven't had in many years. Not too many Chefs can make it right but again perfection! Now let's talk beers! HOLY SMOKES! So original and So much flavor! The Tied Together was amazing! A blonde stout punched with great coffee flavor. I got a growler to go! The Respite Ginger lager was just a party in my mouth! Our server Kelly, was SO knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Top Class Service! You forget you are in Nappanee, with the modern decor and beautiful lighting. Fantastic! We had a great time at Ruhe 152 - the food is awesome! Loved the sweet potato tater tots (so good!!!), the burger and the Margherita pizza! YUM! We also had a flight sampling their beers. We enjoyed trying some different and very flavorful beers. We were there on a Saturday night and they had a musician - very entertaining and at the perfect volume for enjoying dinner, and his music. The wife and I stopped in for a bite and a beer! Our server was very attentive and had waters and got our drinks ordered. They have a lot to choose from and do the brewing and distilling on site. The place was clean and a very modern feel to it. We started of with the Burnt Brussels that were great. There are so many it could be a dinner. Clean, crisp, and very tasty. It was a shot in the dark, but all outward signs appeared promising. We were not disappointed! Well worth going back. I was glad to see lots of diners coming in and the place filled up before we left. The wait staff/ hosts need some seasoning, but I imagine time and experience will take care of that. They were certainly friendly and accommodating though. It's just that if I had to pick one thing that needs work it was in that area. We all loved our meals. Get out of Mishawaka/Elkhart area and experience the forgotten parts of Michiana! Most people think of Amish noodles, fried chicken, and apple butter when they think of dining in Nappanee, but Ruhe152 is quite the opposite. Great burgers with a modern twist, funky appetizers (get the pb&j tator tots) and a nice selection of sushi! They also have a brewery on site and we were told that they will be serving house made spirits and whiskey in due time. The bar has a full menu and they had some really great whiskeys on the shelf. We took the family without issue though this is also a great date-spot. Rhue152 is in the middle of Nappanee and very easy to get to. If you are the adventuring type, take a back road to get there, just point your vehicle south and go. You'll eventually get to US6 and that will take you into Nappanee. Otherwise, 331 south out of Mishawaka will get you there via highway. read more

if I didn't have a take out order to pick up tonight, I would've walked out after this incident. my son tried to grab a toothpick and the hostess humiliated us and yelled "get your hands out of there! tell him to get his hands out of there!" she yelled this from across the room. it was extremely humilating and rude. Wow! Hard to believe this place is smack dab in the middle of Amish country. It feels like you are in a big city like New York or Chicago. The service is Midwest hospitality all the way! The food was delicious, we didn't order anything we didn't love. The PB&J tater tots are a MUST HAVE! So perfect with a home brew! Spacious and inviting, the food is top notch and the beer is across the board satisfying! I was totally impressed with how the manager didn't just stand around observing but was always pitching in to help the servers, sign of a great manager. This review could easily be a five star. Awesome vibe and the food was great. We had a party of 7, including two young boys aged 6 and 4, and we all loved our entrees. The sushi rolls we ordered as apps were nothing better than ok. It's all about the rice. So why the 3 star? We had reservations for 5:30 on a Friday night and the place was packed, which resulted in our entrees arriving 1.5 hours after we were set at the table and a good 40" after the apps were delivered. Our waitress was swamped and struggled to keep up with water refills, delivering drinks, etc but she was very friendly and did her best. I have no idea if this is the norm, but my guess like every other restaurant, staffing is a struggle. Regardless, 1.5 hours to bring out food is unacceptable and I hope the Owner / Manager make the necessary changes to get this corrected since this area is starved for great places to eat read more

My wife and I wanted to treat my brother and his wife to a dinner and stopped here for our second visit. The first visit was on point and great. This last visit wasn't the best. Drinks took 25 mins or so to come, and over and hour on food. Nothing special ordered, just flatbreads, mac n cheese dishes, and pre made sushi rolls. We sat in a really nice room above the bar overlooking their brewing equipment. The glass windows were dirty and their equipment wasn't very clean looking for food/alcohol grade brewing equipment. This place is amazing! From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere! We were so impressed by every aspect of our visit. By far one of the best burgers I have ever had. My husband had the Mahi Ruben and he said he F-in LOVED it! Our daughter had a salad and I could literally hear the lettuce crunch every time she put her fork into it. Our waitress did an amazing job! Not only did she juggle taking care of her tables like a pro she was also helping out in the kitchen. We had dinner here before going to a performance at The Barns at Amish Acres. The food and service is outstanding. What a gem to find in Nappanee. I had the Bahn Mi sandwich with Asian slaw. Both delicious. 5 star for me. Hubby had the Cobb salad which he said was very good. Friends shared a Cobb salad and Reuben sandwich with fries. And sticky toffee pudding they shared for dessert. All of us were delighted with our menu choices. Friends had Zinfandel from Lodi, CA and I had a Sauvignon Blanc. Both good. This restaurant as just been open a year. We were looking for something different for dinner during a recent trip to our lake cottage and found Ruhe152 on Yelp. We were not disappointed! The beer selection was fantastic. My husband had a flight and all four beers were excellent. We ordered the OMG sushi roll for an appetizer which was every bit as good as our favorite sushi bar. I ordered the salmon which was excellent and my husband had the Triple B burger - delicious according to him. This was my first time visiting Ruhe, and I loved it! They have such unique and different flavors on the menu, and you can't get any of it anywhere else! The Bao Buns are very chewy, rich, and delicious, and the burgers are out of this world. The Bistro Burger has an amazing ball of fried goat cheese on top, and I would eat that for the rest of my life! I personally recommend getting the Sweet Potato Tots, they are definitely worth the extra two dollars. I'm telling you, Ruhe is a must visit! read more

We would have given them a 5 except there were people that came in unmasked even though there was a sign on the door requiring masks until being sat at table. Great lunch spot. It's very modern compared to what I was expecting. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess and were seated right away. It wasn't too loud so you could talk to the people at your table and there was a lot of natural lighting. I had their half salad and soup lunch special.
