Unfortunately, we got to the vineyard after sunset so we did not get to enjoy the scenery nor check out their grapes and vineyard. For the wine tasting and dinner, the wine and pairing food is excellent. We got a brief introduction of Italian wines, grapes, DOC and DOCG quality control. For welcome and aperitif, we had Pinot grigio. It is slight sweet, light, fruity and refreshing. Cheese and aged meat plates were served with their balsamic oil, olive oil with chilly and truffle, paired with Rosa Rosae 2015. Rosa Rosae is dry, more tannic than their Pinot Grigio, fruity taste. Pasta dish was paired with Chianti Classico 2015. Pasta was very al dente. Chianti classico is dry, medium bodied, tannic. I don't know much about wine but everyone at my table seemed to enjoy it. Pig carre cooked with desert wine and salad with their olive oil paired with Chianti Classico Riserva 2015. I generally don't like pork but this is cooked perfectly and not gamy. As far as pork goes, it is pretty tasty. By this time, we were all tipsy and happy... so everything was great! For desert, we had cantuccinni paired with Vin Santo del Chianti Classico. We dipped cantuccini (biscotti) in the sweet wine. It was delicious! Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed the dinner and wine. The food and wine portion was very generous! The wine tour started…read morewith an in-depth class on wine and the wine making process and was followed by a 5 course meal which included several delicious cheeses and preserves, bruschetta with different spreads, lemon AND truffle olive oil made at the winery, a large plate of different meats, ravioli with pesto, a few slices of roasted pork with roasted potatoes, and tiramisu. All of it was INCREDIBLE! This meal was served with 10 different wines and at the end we got to try their grappa and limoncello. We bought so many bottles of wine, limoncello, and grappa to take home - they were all so wonderful. Simone and Manuela were both so extremely helpful in assisting us with transportation from the historic district and very communicative during the booking process. You can tell they are passionate about their craft! I definitely recommend this for couples, families, and any large group looking to have a relaxing and fun time in Tuscany! Our guide, who was unaffiliated with the winery, explained that Principe Corsini was a medium-sized operation in the Tuscan winemaking landscape. Much bigger than the others we visited, but not a mass producer. It's owned by the Corsini family, who bought the villa in the 14th century. Rich people making wine, Italian style. The property was pretty. There was a shop on the first floor of the main building and a restaurant upstairs--Osteria Le Corti, where we spent most of our visit. The winemaking facilities were also in the building, and we got a tour after we sated our hunger. Lunch was casual and leisurely, and included a tasting of Principe Corsini's wines. Our guide took us through the tasting, and I liked all four of the wines. We started with the Spumante Rosé Principe Corsini, a lively sparkling rosé, then had the Don Tommaso Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The Marsiliana IGT Costa Toscana was another nice blend, and the Zac, the cru of Villa Le Corti, was a 100% Sangiovese. It was the oldest of our wines, and had aged beautifully. We weren't there for the food, and I was pleasantly surprised by its excellence. The menu was limited, a prix fixe light lunch that included choice of one starter, one first course, and one dessert, with two choices for each. My husband and I ended up trying everything. The starters were both quite foreign to me, unlike any Italian food I've seen in America. There was a pumpkin and leek flan with Cipressaia blue cheese fondue and a pumpkin seed crumble, sweet and savory with an appealing variety of textures. A dish of dense creamed cod came with spiced chickpea purée and cracker-thin crostini. The primi were outstanding. Pillowy pumpkin gnocchi came with a hearty black kale pesto and plenty of pecorino cheese. The pheasant-filled half-moon pasta were big dumplings loaded with tender meat, served with reduced pheasant jus and aromatic herbs. One of the best pasta dishes we had in Italy. For dessert, there was chocolate cake and panna cotta with cherries. Both fantastic, but I especially loved that lush, silky panna cotta. I had an espresso with dessert. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but this was a treat. The tour was interesting. We walked through rooms full of barrels and fermentation tanks and got to see the actual bottling process, which was pretty neat. Principe Corsini has their own bottling machine, and it was fun and weirdly satisfying to watch it work. If you're visiting wineries in Tuscany, I'd highly recommend Villa Le Corti. The wines are great, and it's a lovely place to stop for lunch.

I reached out to the restaurant and they were so accommodating to fit us into the only day we could visit. They send you a text the day of to reconfirm your reservations. Too bad it was raining the morning before we visited because outdoor seating would have been nice in the tented area. There were still covered outside seating but we opted to dine in. They gave us an amazing table facing the vineyard so we could appreciate the scenery. Weather worked for us because we got to enjoy our entire lunch without any rain. We looked at the menu and Mink ordered their Maccheroncelli al sugo di anatra and I ordered Tagliata di manzo alla griglia e patate arrosto medium rare. They came out with complimentary bread and poured some of their current EVOO on suggesting we add a little salt. EVOO in Italy is amazing! It was a good snack while I was going through three wines by the glass list. The food came out after 10-15 minutes and we dug in. Mink enjoyed her order but is at the point of the trip where she's had too much pasta. She did really like my potatoes though. My dish was prepared perfectly and was a good compliment to all the wine I was drinking. After we finished eating, we were offered dessert but declined. They brought out some complimentary dessert for us anyways which was very nice. This is absolutely something you should do when in Tuscany. The taxi ride was a little pricey at €140 round trip (about 16 minute each way). It was still a lot cheaper than Uber though. If Mink drank, I would have loved to have done the wine tasting but the compromise was dining at Rinuccio 1180. Good food, beautiful view and exceptional service. We started with a beautiful cheese and spread selection, a white fish puttanesca salad that was fresh and crisp. The mushroom soup unfortunately was a huge flop comparably to the tier of the other appetizers. Everything about it was not good (texture, flavor), presentation- they emulsified it so no physical mushrooms were present. Though the (small serving) of pasta, fish and lamb rack (served medium rare, more rare than medium) did not disappoint! We finished with this lemon passion fruit meringue pie which was one of the best things I've ever had in my life. The apple tart and complimentary sweets were also great. But all in all, while some dishes had took for opportunity, you're coming here for the views and experience. It feels like you're sitting on a movie set. So not skip this when in Tuscany!
