Second she never even mixed color properly as I noticed pool of white paint and heavy green paint still floating on top. MOST importantly WRONG colorant formula! 7048 Urban Bronze should have white, black, maroon and deep gold, and NOT black, new green and maroon. After 12 hours of painting the banister railings, just to find out what I have is definitely NOT deep rich dark brown expresso color but greenish grey is outrageous. Not only she wasted my 12 hours and labor, she will have me waste another whole weekend sending all this crap off the banisters and rails. Sherwin-Williams cannot even mix the color correctly for the price they charge for paint. If you have too much time on hand and need to waste your time and efforts , Sherwin-Williams in Pleasant Prairie is for you. Edited for update: So today 10/2/22, my husband returned to the Sherwin-Williams paint store in Pleasant Prairie WI with both cans of paint. After waiting almost 45 minutes, now he was told they do not have the same Emerald semi-gloss base coat. When I called the store, clerk "explained" depends on the base color, colorant formula is different, so the result may vary depends on the base paint. In other words, regardless of the paint chip, finished color is a crapshoot. When I questioned this, she then said "Your husband didn't like the color (1st can of Urban Bronze)" so she "changed" for him (2nd can of paint) Running out of excuses resulting in now unintelligible lies. She rudely said store made reimbursement for paint then hung up the phone. For all I care they can keep every cent of it. But her sinking in 12hr painting (in addition to stripping wrong color) banister rails and carved posts would be a fair reimbursement.

I made sure I had the adequate quarter-size paint sample the color did not match the sheen did not match and they will not take the paint back. I went to Lowe's and had the same thing done with their color match system Lowe's gives a guarantee that if it does not match for any reason they will take the paint back no questions asked. For the same quality Sherwin-Williams paint the Lowe's cost was less nd their guarantee was 100% so I'm confused how Sherwin Williams store stays in business. To me it's very poor customer service and I will never again go to Sherwin-Williams for anything. I will only be going to Lowe's from now on.

I was on my way back from the Chicago Western Suburbs, driving back to Milwaukee after visiting my dying father in a hospital. I had to take a call from a close out of town out of the country relative and it was too cold standing outside to talk to I ducked into the nearest store, this one. There was no one else in the store, and the sales guy came up to see if I needed help but then overheard enough that he politely and discreetly turned around and surreptitiously went about his business. When I finished the phone call he recognized I didn't actually want any paint and left me be even though I didn't leave. I can't explain why but I was staring at some cans of paint, and later it registered on me that they have a pretty good stock, and of course Benjamin Moore is a high quality paint. I think one of the foundations of good customer service is reading customers and figuring out what we need. I'll tell you when I do need paint, I'm coming back here even though it's 45 minutes from where I live. It's next to an excellent Thai restaurant. One more plus, the owner supports the Northwestern Wildcats.

One of those blinds failed in the very first summer we owned it. Since then, the company has been out to "repair" the same blind at least ten times. At one point, they shipped it back to Hunter Douglas, leaving us without a window treatment for two of the three months we actually live in the townhome each year. Despite the repeated failures, they have refused to replace the defective blind. Instead, they continue to send technicians out for the same problem, and after year 1 they charge us a service fee every single time. We have pleaded with them to stand behind their product and provide a replacement, but they clearly care more about billing for service calls than actually solving the issue. Their service approach can only be described as "we don't care about our customers." If you are considering using this company, my advice is simple: stay away.

Installation was easy to schedule, quick and convenient. They removed the old shades and cleaned up afterwards. It's been over a year since the blinds were installed. Now, however, they have a new trick. Buy a small canvas bag ($0.99 at any store--$2.50 at Ace Hardware, which tells you something about their willingness to gouge the customer for the same or poorer quality firewood) to load up with loose wood and cart it back to your car. Want more than one bundle? Either buy more bags or shlep the wood to your car on multiple back and forth trips. ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE BUSINESS MODEL. Lost all my business over that. No thanks, not interested in paying $2.50 for a sh@tty bag that at any other box store is a buck or less. When I called and complained, the manager's excuse? lmao "We can't control the vendors who aren't bundling it anymore." No, but you sure as @!#$ can choose to lower the cost of the bags, or just throw them in for free and charge an extra $1 for the bundle--bag the wood and have it waiting. For $7.50+ tax, I expect the wood to be in the bag and awaiting my payment and trip back to the car--ONE TRIP. NOT three or four shlepping loose wood back and forth. Lost my business, and you deserve to lose all of it. Will be spreading the word across social media to avoid this store like the plague.

Pricing is generally higher than big box stores but the value added is the personal service from the staff which is usually spot on. (And in fairness, they may not always be able to compete on some items as they have less volume on many things.). The recent expansion was a benefit to the community. That said, those of us who are long time residents remember the original Ace Hardware in the Town and Country shopping center that was the place to shop for just about anything in Kenosha. That store was a local icon. I have a feeling that with the right marketing that kind of store would go over well again in Kenosha. I also wish the store hours were a bit longer. But this friendly store is a community asset nonetheless.
