I have taken my dog to Ruff House Dog Ranch since she was a puppy. All of my experiences with Ruff House have been exceptional until the last stay my dog had. I dropped my dog off 2 Sundays ago at the specified time. Rang the doorbell, no answer, waited, rang the doorbell again, no answer. Called, no answer. Waited a few minutes, called again, no answer. I was sitting in my vehicle contemplating what to do when the person who runs the place finally came out. I didn't feel good about leaving my dog but I had a plane to catch so what choice did I have? Every other stay had been great so I convinced myself it would be fine this time too despite the fact that a new person was running the place. Everything was not fine. When I picked my dog up a week later, I had the same experience as when I dropped her off. I had to sit outside and wait after ringing the door bell and calling multiple times. When I picked up my dog, all the dogs were in outside kennels and I saw no water in any of the kennels. When the person who runs the kennel FINALLY came outside to bring me my dog I was horrified when I picked up my dog to put her in the car. She was covered in poop and urine. This tells me that the person who is now running the kennel is not taking the dogs outside enough to go to the bathroom. My dog does not poop or pee in her kennel or anywhere else in our house unless she is sick. When we got home, my dog was sick, she threw up 4 times but still didn't pee or poop in her kennel or in our house. Needless to say, I no longer trust the one place that I used to trust with my dog's care when I had to be away. I will definitely be finding a new kennel for my dog unless someone else takes over to run the place that seems more caring of my dog and my time (like the pervious operators). read more

My fiancé and I as well as my soon to be mother and father in law have taken all 4 of our dogs here for a few years now. We genuinely did love the facility, but when Caleb was there. He was absolutely amazing with our boys and he loved them like his own!! He was wonderful at communicating, letting us know if anything happened, just all around amazing! I can't say enough great things about him! But once he left and the owner hired somebody new we were nervous but excited. Our excitement for someone new dwindled very quickly. We are never communicated with properly or in a timely manner, we have gone to pick up our dogs and she is not there, she doesn't answer texts or calls unless it has to do with payment. My soon to be mother in law has went to pick up her dogs and the garage door was completely open, you could see all of the dogs in there kennels, which is completely unacceptable considering anything could happen! I have dropped my dogs off before and I've seen no water in the runs outside, our dogs smell awful when we get them back, and the last time we went to pick up our dogs it was worse. We picked them up on 2/14/23 and my dogs have not been the same since! My dogs act like they have PTSD since being back home and it's been almost a month! Something happened to our dogs and I firmly believe that our dogs were not the only ones that went back to their owners in the wrong headspace! I don't know what she did but this is completely unacceptable, I want my dogs back in their right headspace! Nothing has changed in our home, when we dropped them off they were happy and ready to play, but when we picked them up they barley wanted anything to do with each other, our dogs have gotten into fights lately! We have no idea what happened, and we will probably never know. Our hunch is that she didn't let them out at all to play, considering the fact that every time we are there to pick up or drop off she's rarely there when we are! Similar to the Jen K. review, I have been boarding with Ruff House for seven years and they were always great to deal with. Unfortunately, the new manager at first seems really nice and caring but in reality doesn't return calls or texts or online reservation inquiries. Ruff House requires clients to only drop off or pick up at scheduled appointment times, but the manager seemed surprised and unprepared when I showed up to drop off my pup. I got an uneasy feeling but had a flight to get on so I had to put it aside and leave. The manager didn't reply to my texts while I was gone and when I returned two days early she didn't reply to any of my requests to reschedule an earlier pick up. I ended up scheduling an earlier pick up for the next day through the website since she wouldn't answer my calls, but when I arrived she was surprised and said, "oh, you're early". She was acting spacey and scattered and it made me wonder what kind of care the dogs were getting. Also, one of the nice things in the past was the pictures and videos that were posted on Facebook so we could see our little ones playing, but it doesn't look like she has posted anything since she took over. The last post was 9/4/2021. She said my dog did great but I noticed bite marks on her front legs (defensive wounds) so obviously there must have been a pretty major fight but she didn't mention anything. Its hard to find a good place to board and its critical that we can trust the person watching our precious pups. I'm sad to say I will never board here again unless I hear a new person is in charge. read more

We took our dogs to Ruff House Dog Ranch because it's closer to our house than our old boarding facility. Sometimes our dogs can be temperamental while boarding so we were a little nervous. Our dogs did so great and we are so appreciative of the care and love they received! At other places we've tried our dogs wouldn't leave my side when I dropped them off. When I dropped them off at Ruff House dog ranch they went excitedly back with Anna! We love this place so much! read more

I found Ruff House on a Facebook group (North Springs Mamas). For the past year, our dog (Brittany Spaniel) has boarded at the vets. This was our first time at Ruff House and it will be the only place we take Annie from now on! I LOVED the photos posted on Facebook throughout the week she was there. Update: while the staff was nice enough, we stopped taking our dogs there after 1 dog suffered a freak accident that led to him ultimately having to be put down 2 days later and our other dog developed a large open sore on his throat after having a bark collar put on him, after we specifically told them not to put one on him. read more

We took Oakley our Rottweiler here for the first time while we took a family vacation that wasn't dog friendly. Worried to leave my dog , let alone "kennel" him , Ruff house made everything worry free and so easy! We will definitely be using them again in the future. While Oakley was happy to see us when we picked him up , he wasn't anxious, or seemingly restless. It showed through his actions, and manners that not only was he comfortable while he stayed at ruff house , but that he actually enjoyed it. I highly recommend giving them a try if this is the type of service your looking for. It's more than a job to this family, it's clearly their passion. Our dog, Odin, seemed to love the Ruff House. The owners were very accommodating for our needs, with an up in-the-air schedule that seemed to change weekly. They responded promptly to my email when I checked in on Odin. We also forgot his blanket at pick up, they washed it, and returned it to our house the next day.
