If I could leave zero stars I would. Watch out for these unruly drivers on the road. Almost got ran off the road by one of their drivers driving one of their very large trucks that can hold multiple vehicles. Instead of allowing a merge, he decided to aggressively accelerate and almost run a family off the road. Maybe he should take his road rage to another Type of job. You shouldn't be driving those types of trucks and not be courteous to other drivers. I wouldn't want them towing anything of mine let alone drive next to them. Maybe some retraining is warranted for their drivers. Absolutely appalling to see. read more

EXCELLENT! I called around quick for 3 quotes from reputable towing companies. They were not only cheapest, but they were the nicest, most professional and friendly. I was told 45 minutes and the truck (super nice employee) showed up in 12 minutes. Said there was a cancellation. Got the car home to us safe and sound. 100 bucks out the door from the Selfridge offramp at 94 back to my house in Saint Clair Shores. I can't say enough good things about this company. read more

In a massive parking lot they decided the best place to drop the car would be directly in front of the dumpster. Yes they blocked garbage pick up and left the rest of the parking lot mostly empty. Think about that before trusting them with your car. read more

The driver towed my car from the rear, breaking the rear trailing arm and a tie rod. My car is a front wheel drive, should never be towed from the rear. I was in the hospital at the time and my son borrowed mine for work. The car is now totally disabled with a blown engine as well. My mechanic said this should never have happened. L. To have such a large presence in Macomb County I found the dispatcher very cold and unhelpful. He did not ask if I was in a safe location. He just quoted me an hour timeframe and the price. When I called back after 40 min he became more rude and told me it had only been 15 min. It had actually been 40 min but I was anxious so I'm sure my perception of time could be a little off but not a whole 20 min. I called another service. He was there in 16 min and the dispatcher and driver were very professional. They did ask if I was in a safe location. They had me hooked up and on my way before the Ruehle's driver even showed up. read more

I have a complaint about a middle aged African American man that is bald, and middle aged. He was driving truck number 28 a flatbed. This man was not only speeding around dangerous curves, but cutting myself and others off without warning. When I swerved out of his way, and I yelled at him, he proceeded to tell me to pull into a Tim Hortons and threatened me! Saying that he can have my license taken away and he started taking pictures of my license plate at which point I called my lawyer. Ruehle's Towing, towed my car twice in the span of 4-5 years. The first time the change in my center council was cleared out. The second time, I remembered the last negative business experience. However, the police rushed me while I was on phone with insurance to get another tow service and Ruehle's responded again. I had change in my center council again and once again they change was taken from my car. However, this time they spared me some pennies! I really didn't think anything of it after the first time this happened because it was just change. Yet, it happened twice and other people had negative experiences with Ruehle's employees taking money. Hopefully, a Ruehle's employee or owner claims this business. These untrustworthy employees are making this local towing business look bad! I hope I never have to deal with this company again! read more

I was in an accident about a month ago, and needed to have Ruehles tow my vehicle. I went to the body shop the next morning and met the vehicle being delivered, so that I could empty it out. I was sad to see that roughly $250 worth of Christmas gifts I had purchased were stolen out of the car. I contacted them, they said that they would follow up but didn't. I feel violated by this company, and it makes me sad that someone would do this to someone who obviously had a bad enough day and a smashed car. Terrible people, in my opinion. read more

i can't lie, i see the one star reviews but i had a great experience with them. the dispatcher Gerald was really cool, understood my predicament and was able to help me out with it, he sent a driver Steve, i believe was his name, and he was extremely cool, was really helpful with loading and just a nice guy, also HELL OF A DRIVER, i couldn't believe he was able to get up the extremely narrow driveway without touching anything on either side of him, he didn't even clip the curbs on the way out, i was extremely impressed with that. also they were fast and easy to communicate with. no hidden fees, just a straight up flat rate, and as someone who deals with moving inoperable cars, i know the pricing that type of service goes for typically and they gave me a great rate. i always tip my drivers but in this case i tipped a little extra because it was well deserved. i absolutely recommend this service read more

My car was towed by this company. I had money that was left in the car that I couldn't get out the officer told me that it was there when he searched the car. But when I went that same day literally two hours after it was towed it was all gone. So on top of the impound fees and the money stolen out of my car turned out to be on expensive day. It's sad and unfortunate those are the type hired there. Clearly they needed it more. read more
