All I can say is WOW!!! My wife went into this store to make some returns and was greeted by a young woman that wanted no part of helping my wife. She told her that she didn't know how to do a return with a merchandise credit and told my wife that she needed to come back in an hour when her co-worker that knew how to do it returned. My wife told her no, that she was not going to come back and that she needed to use her resources to figure it out, (i.e. call her co-worker or manager). Next she told my wife that they do not do plus sized returns at this store since they don't sell plus size at this specific store (we have returned plus size items at this store many times prior). The girl decided to do the return at that point and suddenly knew how to do it. She pulled the sweater out of the bag that my wife was returning and said to my "I forgot how big plus size stuff really is" to my wife! My wife was appalled. My wife then asked for the girls name as she did not have a name tag on, go figure and she ignored the request and would not speak to my wife. Apparently the store manager got a note this morning that there was an upset customer and she reached out to us. She apologized over and over and told us that customer service was her #1 priority. She said that she would do anything for us to make my wife happy. She was going to send her something and my wife said that she would accept a gift card and she said that she would send it in the mail. We were in the area and said that we would just stop by and she agreed that was best. We stopped in and she was very nice and friendly, unlike the girl the day before. We spoke to her for about 5 minutes and she handed my wife a small bag with a gift card holder in it. We left and got into the car and my wife looked and it was a coupon for 25% off. We can get 30% off online right now. I went back in and asked if she had forgotten to put the gift card in the holder and she said that she wanted to give a gift card but was told to give a coupon. Talk about the ultimate slap in the face. My wife and I were offended by this gesture or lack of, however you see. She should have just said, I can't do anything for you instead of promising a gift card and not delivering on it. I don't know if they can redeem themselves from this. From body shaming and lying to my wife to not making good on an offer to save us as customers. With all of the bankruptcies happening in this sector, these retailers can't afford to lose customers. Good luck staying open with customer service like this. read more
