This place is phenomenal, from the staff, to the cleanliness, to the food. We got pork ribs, pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, green chili stew. We've had good local bbq, Wrights is a regional favorite, but let me tell you this, they have nothing on Rudy's. The meat was really, REALLY good, tender, juicy and very well-seasoned. But the part that blew us away was the sides! I know we didn't try them all, but we will! That coleslaw had something that was unique, very fresh and tasty. The stew was good, kind bland after that spicy meat, but that's ok. It was the beans! Hubby ate an entire pint. (Now I'm in the car with him). They're open for breakfast. BREAKFAST! When this place first opened, it was fantastic. Brisket was flavorful and juicy, ribs were the best! Now, you can really tell management has been hands off. The last few times we've went it's really been a let down. Our last time we went really made my family and I decide that we aren't coming back anytime soon. On this particular Friday night my family and I ordered "moist" brisket, ribs, sausage and a few sides. The first that was telling of how the meal was going to go was that the young lady (whom was very nice even apologetic) had to call our order out twice, only to be scolded by the meat guy the back that he heard her and that if he doesn't responds that he did so. How does that make sense? When I worked in the industry we called out, "heard", or "yes", or even repeated the order. He seemed not so nice, and his tone showed that along with the cashier turning to me and apologizing for him saying that, "that's just how he is." That's no way to treat team members. Once our food arrived, I dug into the brisket first and its was flavorless, not hot only slightly above room temperature, and for a moist cut, dry. Ribs were tough and barely edible, luckily one of my family members was able to eat them with enough sauce. The sausage was okay, but seemed overcooked and wrinkled and dry, but retained a decent flavor. Overall very disappointing. It was our understanding that the guy cutting meat was the manager, so we didn't bother to talk to him to complain. Also, we were there at 6:30ish on a Friday, and almost no other customers in the dining area. This, should've been our first clue. I really hope they can get turned around and can get back to what Texas BBQ is. I'm from there, and was raised loving Texas BBQ. Unfortunately, this was just not it. I'm giving two stars because our person who had taken our order was very nice and lovely to us. I really wish I had caught her name. But, it shouldn't matter as we've had great experiences with all the cashiers since we've been visiting. Who ever is running the cook of the meats or managing that is where the problem is. On our own for lunch and we decided o. Rudy's. We first had Rudy's while visiting family in Austin and we love it. We've been to this location before and wanted to check it out again. It was fabulous as always. DH and I shared moist brisket and potato salad. The potatoes needed a little salt but that is a personal preference. Service was quick and staff was very friendly. We're not impressed with the brisket. It had no smoky flavor and didn't even taste like it had been rubbed. Rudy's is too gimmicky for me. The food is served cafeteria style in plastic tubs. Instead of plates, you eat off a sheet of waxed paper. The "Country Store" is a couple of shelves with rubs and sauces. It would have been nice if they used some of the rub on the brisket we ate. My husband and I split a1/2 pound of brisket with sides of potato salad and green chili stew. Which were also flavorless. Apparently they don't have rolls or cornbread. You get a slice of generic white bread. There are no veggie or salad options. (I don't consider corn or coleslaw veggies or salad). The people are friendly and the place was clean, but it is extremely expensive for what you get. I got a brisket sandwich that had two cuts of meat on it that was half fat, yuck. The meat was cut and no shredded. The sandwich is about $10.00, water $1.99, beer $5.00 a tiny dry Cole slaw was $2.99. This is a stand in line and get your own drinks that are in a bottle or can, NO FREE REFILLS and a fridge for the sides that was 90% empty when we were there. Don't go if you're in a hurry because they fix everything while you stand there and wait. They give you HUGE trays for your food. I don't know what was all over mine but it was so dirty I had to wash my hands before eating. It was 12:30 pm on Friday afternoon and the parking lot was empty. Everything! Brisket , jalapeño sausage , sausage, turkey creamed corn and the baked beans. I know all of my Texas family and friends don't get excited for Rudy's but here in Arkansas when you only have one decent place and they are closed on Sonday and Monday you are excited! The brisket was just how I remember and like , the creamed corn-the BOMB! And the baked beans amazing. So glad to have a little bit home close by. Please open one in Rogers or BENTONVILLE. I waited a few weeks to allow them to iron out the opening issues most places have when they open their door. It was a spur of the moment decision as I was driving home one evening that zI decided to stop in and pick up some smoked chicken halves to-go. They have done a nice job on how the place looks and with setting the ambiance. I was about the third or fourth person in line and the line was moving pretty quickly, so it was only a minute or two before I got to the front of the line. The cashier greeted me with a big friendly smile and made me feel very welcome, compared to many of the restaurants and fast food places, where there is no smile and the feeling they just don't care. Moving onto the chicken, the way that it was packed for a to-go order was a little strange. They used two cardboard boats, one on top and one on the bottom then wrapped the two boats and half chicken in white parchment paper, then put them in a paper sack. I would have thought for a place that sells 1/2 chickens on their regular menu, they would have had better to-go packaging. When I got home and we ate the chicken we both agreed to tasted good, it was well seasoned, juicy and flavorful and if you are going to be eating in the restaurant it's was good option, but for the price I paid ~$20 including the tip for the two halves, a warm Rotisserie chicken from Walmart at 1/3 the cost was probably a better deal and just as flavorful and juicy. We are planning on dining in sometime soon and will review again at that time. read more

Tried the new BBQ place today. I read the previous reviews which helped guide my decisions. I can verify 1. the turkey is very good and moist, 2. the potato salad is good, 3. the bbq sauce pours slow. I also thought the building and layout was weird because 1. there is a huge buffet table in the middle of the restaurant but all that's on it is plastic forks and spoons and napkins...such a big center piece is an awkward place for those common things, and also I was disappointed they didn't have outdoor seating :/ I waited for a while in line, but it's Sunday lunch rush so that makes sense. And I thought the prices were high - mainly for the sides. $12 for two sides of potato salad! read more

I just tried it for my first time. I ordered a whole cheddar jalapeño sausage and a half chicken. Neither tasted smoked nor had a smoke ring. The sausage tasted like cheap gastation beef and cheese sticks. The chicken was lightly seasoned and tasted baked with soggy skin. Wal-mart rotisserie chicken and hotdog roller sausages are about 2 steps up from Rudy's. Keep in mind the price for these 2 items was over $20 combined. Next I'll try the brisket and pork loin, but if it's the same quality I fear I may be let down again. read more

Food is very subpar. Customer service is excellent. Hard to ever want to come here again, especially having Wrights BBQ nearby, which is the best ever. Only positives are; They are open Sunday and it's conveniently located near our home. I would not recommend this is unless you are starving for some mid bbq on a Sunday. read more

Father's Day was our first visit and they knocked it out of the park. Ordered the ribs, turkey and sausage with a side of baked beans and went family style at the table. Didn't try the brisket but it looked great. Food was great. Service was great. Loved the Texas style BBQ vibe inside and that they're cutting the meat as you order. We will be back! read more

I had a BOGO sandwich for welcoming and decided to get the moist brisket sandwich. Half of it was straight fat. Like gelatinous fat. The Mac n cheese was also borderline disgusting. It felt like I was eating dough covered cheese sauce. I will 100% go back for there breakfast tacos though. They remind me of home. The service was also very bad. I felt like we stood at the register for 10 minutes for a to go order. I understand that they are new and trying to get things sorted. They also stopped someone from drunk driving. They also gave us smoked turkey, brisket, and moist brisket to sample. Brisket Sandwich... 7/10. Bread flavor dominated the smoke flavor Pork Ribs 5/10. Tough and flavorless. Smoked Turkey 9/10. Very flavorful and moist. Potato Salad 8/10. Very good. Beans 6/10. I expected BBQ beans. They tasted like Ranch Beans. Cole Slaw 3/10. One bite was enough. Sauces 7/10. Came in a weird bottle and came out slow. Flavor was decent. Service 9/10. Everyone was friendly and they constantly ask if you need anything. Price 8/10. What I expected. Overall... it was decent. Lemme tell you, if you want good bbq in a new light go to Rudy's. Ribs are to die for, best brisket I've had in a while, and don't get me started on that chocolate pudding. The patio brought in lots of light for a nice summer night dinner. Big hit with our 2 year old and 1 year old. Ham - Also falls apart, great flavor! Baked potato with pulled pork - worth the $. Potato was enough for two people. Pulled pork was not good. I'd save your money if you want good pulled pork and go to Wrights. Bbq sauce - vinegar based. Not my thing personally. Chocolate pudding was great! Banana Pudding - Not worth it. 2 out of 5 stars. We ending up just eating the whip cream! Overall not the best we have had. Super convent location though. Very laid back with seating and accommodations. If you get the chance, check out Rudy's Country store and BBQ. This is one of my favorite BBQ places in the U.S. I love everything! The restaurant has rooms for big groups and enough space between tables so you're not too crowded. The parking lot is very big as well. I enjoy the cream corn and potato salad with my moist brisket. I loved Rudy's when I lived in Texas, and they are just as good here now in Arkansas! The turkey is consistently moist and flavorful, and the loaded potato with brisket is delicious. We eat at Rudy's at home in AZ. all the time, so we had to try this store, the newest one we believe, while passing through AR. Had the brisket and slaw. Very tasty, very good. Didn't expect anything less. They smoke their meats the same here as at home. All the staff work well. Even the manager visited our table and asked if he could get us anything else. I used to live in Boerne, TX and would frequent that Rudy's often as it was stellar and just down the road from our neighborhood. My family has now been to the new Rudy's here In Fayetteville-Farmington to eat three Times. I would give less than 1 Star if I could. It's awful. Tonight I gave it another go as it's been open now long enough to get things correct. WRONG AGAIN! I had the Chopped Brisket sandwich. I ate half and threw the remainder in the trash. It was like I was eating bbq sloppy Joe. Their cream corn isn't even good anymore either. I don't know what's going on at this location but corporate better get in their quickly bc the only things worth more than 1 star is the jalapeño and cheddar sausage but every joint in town has that. Pork sandwich is Greasy and awful first visit and not one item has any smoke flavor. It taste like frozen store bought from Sam's Club in the white half gallon buckets. Infact, it's not even as good as that from Sam's. Dammit, I had high hopes when I saw the amazing buildout of this location but until something changes drastically- I'm not going back even if it's free bc that's a waste of time. Disappointed at best. Hate to be ugly but 3x now and it's not cheap or good. So sad as I hope they figure it out but other patrons eating nearby had the same outcomes. Everyone here is extremely friendly. But, the food is so incredibly mediocre. I had a sandwich with pulled pork and jalapeño sausage. The pork tastes like pickles for some bizarre reason. Call me crazy, but I'd rather just taste the pork and some seasonings. Then they put about 6 absolute slabs of sausage on the sandwich hanging off the end of the bread several inches. The ratios were ridiculous. The sausage also isn't good. For my sides I had beans and new potatoes. They beans were ok, like what you get at the grocery store. The potatoes were just boiled potatoes without a hint of seasoning. I also got 3 of the driest ribs of my entire life. After choking down what I could I had banana pudding that was actually really good. I was informed that in the morning they make breakfast tacos. So, the next morning I ordered some on DoorDash. I got 2 bacon, and 2 bacon potato. For a city that has no breakfast tacos they were halfway decent. If I spend another dime here it'll be for the tacos. Before I lived in Farmington I lived in Texas for 15 years, and I know what barbecue and breakfast tacos should be. Even if that wasn't the case I'd still call the food here utterly pitiful. You can go a mile up the road, and in a gas station parking lot there's a bbq food truck with the best bbq around. Rudy's is an airball. read more
