Rudy's Custom Upholstery - Recovered chairs and foot stools. - Furniture Reupholstery Near Me - Murrieta, California

Kinda rude. Called and immediately got an "off" feeling. Explained my situation, offered to send a photo. Said he could not offer a quote/estimate with a photo. So there's that.. As a response to the owners response.. not everyone discovers the business through a particular ad to have known that particular detail. Especially when you're business is on platforms that offers requesting quotes read more

Top notch service and attention to detail. I consulted with Rudy with the task to reupholster my rear seats to match my front ones. Not only did he deliver, but the details and craftsmanship are second to none. He is busy, but putting time on his calendar is well worth the wait. The end product will leave you 100% satisfied and he's an honest and quality individual as well. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional! I had a really disappointing experience. I went in with a simple question about getting a steering wheel redone, and the way I was spoken to felt rude and dismissive. There's no reason a basic inquiry should be met with that kind of attitude. It came across as unprofessional and honestly made me feel disrespected. I hope this is taken seriously, because no customer should be treated like that. read more

I did not end up needing to hire Rudy, but he spent a lot of time educating my husband and I about our foam cushions, the quality of couches and the support/frame in the couches, and felt he deserved a review for his honesty, integrity and friendliness. He showed us examples, in addition to a chair he was repairing for a client and showing us the structure and support under the cushion. He wanted to be sure we weren't going to spend money to replace the foam inserts in our cushions and still sink into the couch if the issue was actually the couch and not the foam. We were very grateful that he took the time to explain everything and for that he deserved a positive review. Thanks again, Rudy! read more

I highly recommend Rudy for any upholstery needs from Couches to Cars and everything in between. Excellent service and great pricing read more

This is the second time we have had the services of Rudy's upholstery. He always does a great job at a reasonably price.

No BS. Rudy tells it straight and did a good job replacing the headliner on my car. Made sure the color/fabric was a match and turned it around in a day. By my account a good guy doing good work. read more

This Ethan Allen shaker chair has been in our family for over 30 years and it was built really so we gave it to a pro--Rudy did a fabulous job. I think he did a better job than Ethan Allen originally did. The placement of the pattern was so well done on the front as well as the back. He took a lot of care to make the all the details perfect! read more

Highly recommend. This is someone who talks to you like a person and takes pride in his work. It doesn't get much better than that. He was a joy to work with and we were 100% pleased with the outcome. If you want honest, hard work, with a sense of humour thrown in, look no further. read more

Rudy was great!! I called him, I took my truck into his shop to get an estimate. The headliner in our truck was a mess and was ripped everywhere. My husband told me the only thing he wanted for Christmas was the headliner and his torn seats to be fixed in his truck. I took the truck to him last week, he ordered the seat covers and got the job done in less than 2 days! I was able to surprise my husband 3 days before Christmas! Rudy was honest and worked hard to get the work done in time for me to pick up my husband in his remodeled truck! My husband was very pleased with Rudy's work. I highly recommend Rudy!! I appreciate small businesses in the city that I work and live in and Rudy is trustworthy, affordable and did a great job! I will definitely be back to get the rest of the truck done! read more

Thank you Rudy for saving us from having to buy a new sectional couch! We've only had our couch for 5 years and the foam cushions had seriously lost its firmness and form-everything else is great with the couch. What we were left with were sinking seat cushions that made our backs hurt. After looking at around $4k for a new sectional !! I called sofa spectrum to see if they did foam cushion replacements , they did not, but referred to Rudy down the street from them. Rudy was professional, friendly and truly looks out for his customers. He wanted to make sure I was picking the correct firmness, so he sent me home with "homework" lol. I took 3 tester cushions home to see how sitting on each level of firmness would feel. It's nice to know that he cares and is not just interested in taking your money. He order the replacement foam the next business day and I dropped off my cushions on a Thursday morning and got them back the same day at close! It's like we have a new couch!!! Rudy completely saved my couch, our backs and tons of money and gained a forever customer! If you need any upholstery done, boat, rv, home or patio furniture, this is the place! read more

Rudy repaired the interior door upholstery on my mustang. After 10 years of California summers, the upholstery on my doors began to loosen and peel away from the door. Rudy was so friendly and fast with his work! I dropped my car off with him and he had the job done within 2.5 hours. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him and his quality of work! read more

We found Rudy through Yelp and wanted to have him work on a very old chair that was not in great shape. He worked miracles; the new upholstery looks amazing and was top notch. He was able to fix the springs and do some other small repairs. Working with him was easy, and we really appreciated his suggestions and work ethic! He's busy, so it took awhile before he had time for our job, but once it was our turn, he finished within a few days. We have other pieces we are planning to have him do. I would highly recommend him! read more

Great to work with under challenging time constraints. Rudy was available and made it happen in less time than originally expected. Wife is pleased with the repairs to leather drivers seat in her F-150. That is all that matters. Very reasonable price. If any future needs arise, we will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

My wife found Rudy's custom Upholstery on Yelp. He has all 5 star reviews, and he certainly lived up to that for us. Rudy is the best at his craft at a reasonable price. We had some pieces that are shaped oddly, and he new exactly what was involved in getting the work done professionally. Gave us the price and when he could have it done, and actually had it done ahead of schedule. No BS or upsell from Rudy. He's a very personable, laid back guy, yet takes his work seriously. read more

The driver seat in my Mini Cooper had a seam that had pulled apart. Rudy scheduled me in fast and repaired it quickly. The seat looks almost factory new now. He even replaced some old clips that had worn out and broke at no charge. Highly recommended! read more

I started to try and reupholster a chair myself and found out very quickly That I was sorely overmatched. I found Rudy on Yelp and being fairly close and well reviewed, I drove over. We agreed on a fair price with the Job to be completed in 3-4 days , I left and a couple of hours later I got A call expecting to be told he needed more time. But no, he was calling to tell me the job was done and I could pick it up after lunch that same day. That's how you make a customer happy and feeling that he got his money's worth. I would recommend him anytime. read more

I would highly recommend Rudy's Custom Upholstery for anybody looking to get furniture reupholstered. Right when I arrived at Rudy's shop he stopped working on the chair he was working on & gave me his full attention regarding my reupholstery request. He offered several solutions and options to help educate me on what decisions I had to make and what to look forward to. I was concerned about removing the old traditional testing and buttons and asked him if it was possible to make the chairs look more modern & he said no problem! He was very patient in waiting for me to bring the upholstery (that I purchased) to his shop and within just two hours of me dropping off the upholstery he had my chair complete. I love that he had texted me pictures of what my chairs looked like during the revamping process!! My reupholstered chairs look amazing and I would definitely work with Rudy's custom services again!! read more

Outrageous prices! I took a small love seat to get reupholstered and Rudy quoted me nearly $700...I couldn't believe it. It would only cost me $250 to get a new one! It is worth looking around first before coming here. And if you do keep your hand on your wallet...he will take you for all that he can. read more

Rudy was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Our 2007 Yamaha AR230 boat had sat out in the elements and the upholstery was ruined. He gave us his opinion on what was needed, provided color samples etc. We were wowed with the result, looks like a brand new boat with the new seats and the orange trim he suggested really makes the new upholstery pop and compliments the outside color of the boat. Delivered when promised and he kept us updated of his progress with pictures all along the way. Can't say enough about how happy we are with his professionalism and the finished product. We highly recommend Rudy for any upholstery needs you may have. read more
