I then turned to Yelp to find a business in my area and came across The Prestige Companies Auto Upholstery. From the very beginning, The Prestige Companies Auto Upholstery demonstrated a strong commitment to customer service. I called and spoke with Matt, who asked me to send enough photographs for him to prepare an estimate by text. When I asked whether he needed to see the vehicle in person, Matt explained that he could provide the estimate from the photographs. This saved me time, and I received the estimate within about an hour. I was also pleased that the company was located nearby and able to service my vehicle. When I dropped off my vehicle, I worked with Matt to find a headliner material in the same color as the original. I also had a new wrap for my leather steering wheel, which was coming apart. In addition, I asked Matt to examine the leather cover on the driver's seat bottom, which was cracked and had foam falling apart. Matt said he would discuss the issue with his dad who was the owner. Matt called me within two days of dropping off the vehicle to provide an update. There had been a hiccup while they searched for the right leather, but when I explained that the vehicle had custom leather installed more than 20 years ago, Matt reassured me by saying, "Don't worry, we got you." I picked up my vehicle today and was very impressed with the work. The replacement headliner looked much better than the one originally installed by the manufacturer. The steering wheel wrap looked good, and the driver's leather seat was done well. Matt also told me that they had rebuilt the foam in the driver's seat. When I drove out of the lot, I could immediately feel that the driver's seat provided much more support. I am truly happy with all the work completed by The Prestige Companies Auto Upholstery. The pictures included show the upholstery work that he charged me $3k for. I originally brought the car to him with just a rip in the side of the driver's seat. I had all of the seating, arm rests and door panels done so interior would match. Not only was the work shoddy, but he recycled some of my old cloth, cut pieces short, left unreinforced slits where the latches are, used Velcro to secure my headrest covers, the list goes on and on. The judge granted me $4k+ in judgment to make me whole again. Ask around the car restoration town and get really good references for someone to do your auto upholstery - but don't use this guy!
