Great company, only reason I don't rate them 5 stars is their software could use some work, as I've…read moreused much better payroll systems. Our employees weren't huge fans of the app either. However, their customer service is OUTSTANDING. I would strongly recommend these guys, especially to small business owners. Every business accountant knows that getting payroll 100% right is a HUGE priority, and you often don't have much time to submit payroll once hours are approved by managers, so having a team in your corner who picks up the phone every time you call and has an expert on the case within the hour is SO VALUABLE. These guys understand that having a helpful person on the phone ASAP is so valuable to a small business, as it saves so much time and headache. Strongly recommend!

HIGH RISK OF FRAUD, LITTLE TO NO SECURITY!! On behalf of the…read moresmall business owners out there, we feel it is necessary to shed light on this incident, so others don't go through what we are going through. We are a small construction company with a few W2 employees. We hired Paylogics in Spring of 2022 to help run our payroll and prepare checks. Our payroll is usually between $1,200-2,300 per employee and Paylogics was a cost effective company to help get our employees paid timely and have our reports filed accurately or so we thought. On 11/21/22 we noticed an ACH debit of $43,293.25 from our business checking account authorized by Paylogics. This amount is $35,000+ more than we'd typically authorize for any of our regular payrolls. This ACH debit was completed by Vanesa Low with Paylogics from a fraudulent email request out of California. She set up a new 1099 contractor with a direct deposit account and sent off $43k. We didn't receive a phone call, email, or any notification prior nor after processing the ACH as written in their contract. We don't have 1099 contractors and only pay using paper checks. Our employees works solely out of Utah not any other state. After establishing that the transaction was fraudulent, Paylogics proceeded to block our company from accessing our payroll account and we are unable to process payroll for our own employees. We are unable to view reports, or obtain any information from our accounts. This ordeal has impacted not only our business, our family, and the financial security of the our employees as we are unable to pay them as a result of Paylogics negligence. Devin Milne, and the owner Mark Ward made it very clear that they will not take responsibility of their company's wrongdoing, they also will not provide any details on the fraudulent recipient. We are seeking legal council after Paylogics decided not to cooperate. Had an extra layer of protection been in place to safeguard our account, a large fraudulent transaction would have been prevented.

We had told them at the outset that this would need to integrate with our CRM, which wasn't settled yet at the time. We decided to go a different direction with the CRM with very little of the netsuite implementation actually done. But Squire billed us over 100% of the initial estimate. We've now spent over a year in good faith trying to get things resolved with them but it's been so bad. Their only rationale was that the billing was progress-billed even though no work was done. I'm not sure how that is an acceptable business practice. We've tried to resolve this with Squire offering 25% of the initial estimate and then 50% of the initial estimate but looks like they prefer to show a large A/R. Unclear how this will get resolved.

I was charged every month for "preparation" and "planning" that were not explained. I was instructed to pay the IRS inordinate amounts of money erroneously putting me in a dire financial position. As a single mother of four, I expressed my deepest concern and asked for clarity. My inquiry was met with confusing conversation, a patronizing attitude and ZERO explanation about their accounting or billing practices. Then he hung up on me. This was the second time he's hung up on me after inquiring about my account. Greg tends to speak in a confusing manner making it near impossible to understand with clarity what he's talking about. If you attempt to advocate for yourself, he won't tolerate frustration and simply hangs up. Please be very careful when dealing with Squire. They do not act as though they care about clients concerns or the relationships that keep them in business. Mismanaged tax issues, refusal to communicate or explain accounting practices. It's been an extremely unsettling and disruptive experience.
