We've had just the worst experience with Squire. We are a small business and had contracted them to build out a netsuite implementation. We had told them at the outset that this would need to integrate with our CRM, which wasn't settled yet at the time. We decided to go a different direction with the CRM with very little of the netsuite implementation actually done. But Squire billed us over 100% of the initial estimate. We've now spent over a year in good faith trying to get things resolved with them but it's been so bad. Their only rationale was that the billing was progress-billed even though no work was done. I'm not sure how that is an acceptable business practice. We've tried to resolve this with Squire offering 25% of the initial estimate and then 50% of the initial estimate but looks like they prefer to show a large A/R. Unclear how this will get resolved. read more

ZERO concern for client communication or accuracy. I moved my account to Squire along with my extended family to manage large tax issues. I was charged every month for "preparation" and "planning" that were not explained. I was instructed to pay the IRS inordinate amounts of money erroneously putting me in a dire financial position. As a single mother of four, I expressed my deepest concern and asked for clarity. My inquiry was met with confusing conversation, a patronizing attitude and ZERO explanation about their accounting or billing practices. Then he hung up on me. This was the second time he's hung up on me after inquiring about my account. Greg tends to speak in a confusing manner making it near impossible to understand with clarity what he's talking about. If you attempt to advocate for yourself, he won't tolerate frustration and simply hangs up. Please be very careful when dealing with Squire. They do not act as though they care about clients concerns or the relationships that keep them in business. Mismanaged tax issues, refusal to communicate or explain accounting practices. It's been an extremely unsettling and disruptive experience. read more

I received pretty sub-par service from Squire for my 2012 return. They forgot about me and I actually had to email and remind the people working on my taxes a couple of times about certain deadlines / questions they should be asking me. VERY unclear instructions the entire time. My email chains went back and forth for much longer than needed. Many of my questions were left completely unanswered. No response at all. I'm even more upset now having gone through and done my taxes on my own (in 2013) realizing that they didn't even ask me half of the questions they could have. I initially contacted Squire about quick books help for my very small business. We discussed the price range and needs for my size. I met with a friendly assistant at a lower price. I was relieved to the extent in which she helped, although she didn't seem competent to help adjust an error I needed help with. Which was the whole point of seeking services. We worked through some details, follow up 2weeks after to complete what I still needed help with adjusting an error in quick books. I received an formal engagement letter that the price hourly was now much higher, to complete said, project. I did not agree, but was reassured that I would be handed off to another business to meet my needs. Since, I have followed up more than a dozen times, I've given them 5 months to hand off my account. I get excuse after excuse, talk to multiple people and I'm still waiting. "It's a busy time for us." "Let me get back to you." Tired of being brushed off. Now I'm left finding somewhere else to help clean up the mess they started. Would not do business with squire unless you have time to wait around for excuses and empty promises. read more
