Wait times over the past year have consistently averaged 30 minutes, this is to be seated. The dental assistants are great but there is another wait time to see the dentist. He can have a line waiting or just be chatting. Planning around these appointments for more than one child frustrating and a time suck. This was not the case for my child's first round of braces. I came here looking for orthodontics for myself. I came in, did the x-rays and was told that they needed to send in a predetermination to see if my dental insurance would cover me since I'm an adult. Never seen an actual ortho here. I was told that they would send in the paperwork and it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. Doing my due diligence, I went to another orthodontist for a second opinion/price. I followed up with my insurance several times. They never received any request from this ortho office. I did receive a predetermination from the other orthodontist and my insurance deemed it "necessary" for braces, giving me orthodontic coverage. Fast forward, I called and left a message with the front desk following up to see if they ever sent in the predetermination request. They said the lady was out until Tuesday but she would give me a call. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing. Now- I will be receiving braces from the other ortho for myself and then my son. read more

After a year and a half, I completed my Invisalign treatment, thank the Lord. I chose Rucker Orthodontics based on the Yelp reviews, and looking back, I definitely wish I went a different route. Every time I visited, not only did I have like a 5 second conversation with Dr. Rucker, I never knew what to expect. One appointment, they tell me I'm just picking up my aligners. When I get there, they're sitting me down and super flossing me. A heads up would have been nice?! It was also very difficult to schedule with them around my work. Don't they know that people have jobs and kids and school? It was honestly so hard to take the time off and the front desk was not helpful or understanding with that. During my last visit, all the technicians did was look in my mouth, said "you're all done" and that was it. Very underwhelming after a year and a half with them. Like thanks? They just wanted to collect the check and push me out the door. FInally, Dr. Rucker just seems like a jerk. I never met him during my consultation and when I did meet him for the first time, he wasn't personable at all. He talked at me as if I wasn't even there. When he does make an appearance during my appointments, he just peeks in my mouth and starts throwing out treatment ideas. Again doesn't talk to me. Compared to the other doctors in the area like Dr. Dmitry Tsvetov and Dr. Min Ku, Rucker is nothing like them, which is disappointing and embarrassing for him since he's the owner. read more

Overall, a good experience. $6,000 out of pocket for braces. I thought that was pricey but maybe it's average? It's not perfect but it's what I would expect from Temecula: Good. I guess if I wanted perfect I should have gone to Beverly Hills. Nice office. Friendly dental assistants. Everyone is really pretty that works there haha I can recommend this business. First of all our initial visit with Dr. Rucker Orthdontics was amazing. Arian has always been consistently kind and helpful. Especially when I lost my job and had issues with payments. She gave me hope when I was concerned with my girls and their treatment plan. However, when we would make appointments at times they would deny us being seen due to non-payment. I was told it was not because of that however they would see my middle daughter and not my oldest. I'm guessing because my middle daughter's account was current with payments. When I would sit in the back during their treatment Dr. Rucker was jovial with other patients and rarely said even a "hello" to me. This happened multiple times. His receptionist Angela is very curt most of the time and rarely kind. She made me feel as if I was irritating her most of our encounters. So because of the cool feeling I received from Dr. Rucker and Angela I began to just drop my girls off and stay in the car. I am also upset with my middle daughter's teeth as they were ground down and look completely different. At one point one of her front teeth was noticeably longer than the other. I was steaming but my daughter assured me she didn't mind. After the girls got their braces off recently Dr. Rucker attempted to file and shape that same daughter's teeth and made her canines look pointed. She is happy but I am not impressed and can do nothing about it. My advice to any new patient.... Is Dr.Rucker good at what he does and is his back office staff amazing YES! Just dont let him file your teeth until after treatment and perhaps voice that you don't want filing done to your minor without your consent and you being present. Nobody likes getting braces. But if you find yourself in need of an orthodontist, then you are well advised to schedule an appointment with the folks at Rucker Orthodontics in Temecula. They are a top-notch outfit from top to bottom. I just completed a successful two-year treatment program to correct an overbite. I have to admit that I am not always an easy patient. Add to that the fact that I was not enthused about the whole idea of getting braces and you end up with a grumpy-adjacent middle-aged man with a mouth full of metal. BUT the patience and professionalism of the entire staff turned me into a believer. However, it was my excellent customer service experience that got me to typing a review. Without going too deeply into the details, my insurance company rejected my claim 20 months after we began the process. I was presented with a substantial surprise bill in addition to having an unwanted mouth full of metal. Bah humbug. Long story short, owner Dr Jon Rucker made the most patient-favorable decision that he could have made. There was no negotiating or begging. He just simply did the right thing at a cost of several thousand dollars to himself and no additional charge to me. I thought that showed true character and a focus on taking care of patients. I like that a lot. But, wait. There's more. I am really into esthetics and interior design. Dr Rucker and his team put a lot of time and effort into creating a warm and vibrant space. And his Spotify playlist is on point! Somehow, I didn't mind the time I spent in the waiting room or in the chair. I still don't like braces. I was excited to learn and appreciated this office using cutting-edge technology with Damon braces! Some industries don't seem to evolve and this office is using the best-of-the-best technology. We did our consultation today and they were even able to put my daughters braces on today!Honestly, my daughter gets a bit of anxiety when it comes to her teeth as she has already had oral surgery in the past and fillings. I had originally gone to Western Dental and that's where my husband and I were planning to take our two children until I stumbled on Dr. Rucker. I am so pleased with the staff, everything from the consultation to when they put on the braces for our son.
