My daughters & I came here on Memorial Day since we had no power at home due to a tornado the day before. We arrived at about 1:30/2:00 and there wasn't too many people in the restaurant. Our server was kind, and explained she was new and was still learning the menu. Absolutely not a problem at all. We placed our order for an appetizer and drinks, and within 10 minutes we had our appetizer. We then placed the order for our entrees, due to how quick the service was for the appetizer I absolutely wasn't expecting how long the food would take. At this time, there still wasn't many people in the restaurant. After we ordered I watched about 5 or 6 tables be seated. After about 30 minutes since placing our order I inquired with the waitress about our food and I was told they're working on it, a take out order got put ahead of ours (why? Who knows!) At this point I had watched the majority of the guests who came AFTER we ordered be served their food. Approximately 10 minutes later, and watching the rest of the parties who came AFTER we ordered be served I inquired again and was told it's coming out "right now". Why were 2 kids who ordered mediocre cheeseburgers served LONG after guests who came after we ordered? Finally about 45 minutes after ordering, and after every guest in the restaurant who came after us was served, we were served basic cheeseburgers and soggy fries that weren't even hot. I had ordered a salad bar, which was nothing to write home about, I'm sure everything had been sitting out for hours and just wasn't worth the cost. However, it was edible. When it was time for the bill, I was over charged and I did inquire however, at this point I was so done with this ridiculous place I just paid it and figured I'd contact corporate to square it out. Our server was new, and I felt like had been through enough due to the moron who was seated behind us (who ordered after us and had his food before us) felt the need to attend to cause a scene with me (while almost finished with his food at this points after I inquired the 2nd time which I'm sure was mortifying enough for her. Corporate has refused to respond to me, which tells me neither the restaurant or corporate cares about the customers experience. I wouldn't be bothered coming back ever, or even trying this place if you're looking it up prior to west plains. There's much better restaurants around here with way better service, at even better pricing. read more

We were greeted and seated I had asked for a warm place to set and Beau found us the warmest place. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met. I took my mom and granddaughter to eat here over the weekend. We were looking forward to eating here. On my first visit the food was phenomenal. This go around however we were extremely disappointed. 3 different orders all 3 came out at different times, mine being last after everyone else was finished with theirs. Then while paying I had to pay while the waitress held the little card reader in her hand while it showed what kind of tip I wanted to leave. The appetizer was not good and when I asked the stores how much longer she informed me that the cook had not even started on our meal. This was at the hour and a half mark. We were driving back through. And our waitress was nice and this place was DEAD not busy at all. My partner ordered the shrimp and it was burnt. Then we didn't get refills till we where about to leave. WE NEVER SAW HER! We where done eating for 35 mins and then our dessert was put in. Waited another 10mins. We had to ask multiple times for A1 sauce for my husband's steak. They brought the wrong meal out for my daughter an by the time they brought the right one the adults had done ate. Pre-pandemic, this Ruby Tuesday was one of our favorite places to eat. That changed when we went last week. The food was very good, however, there were flies everywhere! After we finished our meals, I visited the ladies room and realized WHY there were so many flies! The restroom smelled like pure sewage. It was disgusting. We mentioned this to the server and he said they were having sewage problems. Ya think? Ruby Tuesday in West Plains has gone downhill considerably. I never go there anymore. They decided to get rid of their staple, the Cheddar Biscuits, and you get nothing now. Not only that, but their portions are very tiny for the price of the meal. I have gone 2 times in the past year and both times at least one item on my plate was cold, it was either too hot or too cold in the dining area, the portion sizes were very small, and the waitress/waiter was poor and didn't know how to properly handle their work load. The food is always delicious, but the service is lacking. Tonight was the second time that I had to wait far longer than necessary for a bill. The first time it happened, I chalked it up to new staff or just an accident. Tonight we had our food before our drinks got to our table and we were the only people dining in at that moment. I ended up sending my family outside to wait in the car because my children were getting restless, waiting for our bill. I finished eating and waited 20 more minutes for a bill. The waitress came to my table and said, "I think I need 5 more things to do." I know things are tough right now, but I also know that it isn't appropriate to complain to customers about work load when there's a total of 1 host and 3 wait staff with literally 4 tables total by this point. It did come back rare but instead of being bloody red in the middle it was a very light pink color that was hard to distinguish from the gray color of the meat. Simple chips and queso dip should not be that difficult but the chips a were half raw and half cooked. The dip was grainy and not warm when it was served. It doesn't surprise me that when I logged into Yelp go write my first negative review, that I saw this place already has terrible reviews. My husband and I sort of thought we were on some type of hidden camera show, bc there's no way the service AND the food could simultaneously be so bad. Our waitress was obviously sick and kept apologizing for coughing. And her eyes were red and watery, so either she was having personal issues or allergies were getting the best of her. It doesn't matter either way; it was gross. We waited for a solid 5-6 mins for lettuce to be brought out to the salad bar, even though there were 4 ppl in the entire restaurant. I pulled out a chunk of artichokes to put on my plate and a drowned fly came out with it (not their fault, but added to the sucky experience). My husband's burger was brought out without fries, but the lack of service or care was comical at that point, so we just wanted to leave. Yes this is a franchise. Yes it's just a regular place to grab a burger but it is clean the food is solid and the wait staff is polite. We stop here about twice a year and it is always a good bet. Salad was fresh tonight my daughter got the pasta and I was super bad and got a burger and fries. The burger was just right. I have it 5 stars as compared to other similar places. We loved our experience at Ruby Tuesday. Our server Kaitlin was excellent, and we ordered a margarita and a martini, both top drawer. Anthony was the bartender, and paid us a visit to make sure we were happy, very nice. The food was terrific! Grilled chicken breast moist and charred perfectly. Great fresh salad bar. We were promptly seated, and our server, Curtis went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The salad bar was well stocked, and had almost every option possible at the salad bar. Plain menu, good food. We went with some friends last night and we all decided to eat here since we hadn't ate at Ruby's for quite some time. Upon entering the establishment, I felt like we were walking inside a walk-in cooler. Let me tell you it was cold! The biggest complaint I have with this restaurant is the plain menu. To be honest, there really isn't much to choose from. You have chicken, seafood, ribs, steak, pasta or burgers. That might sound like quite a bit, but it is just the same thing cooked various ways. The seafood is essentially tilapia or white fish(both very cheap to buy) or shrimp. Bad selections in my book, especially for the price(median of 14.99). Two rip-offs here. If you choose to get the pasta, or the ribs...you have to pay for the salad bar, which is 2.99 extra. Every other dinner dish comes with the salad bar. The other rip-off is the price of drinks. I ordered tea, and my wife ordered a soda...both were 2.99. Big rip-off. The cheddar biscuits are pretty much a joke..very very small, but not too bad I suppose if they are hot when you receive them. Now the good...I ordered a petite sirloin medium rare, and it was cooked well and tasted good. I was impressed with the quality of the steak. The salad bar was up to par, fresh, and chilled good. There was a decent variety on the salad bar as well. Our server was very attentive, very professional and ran his tables well. The hostess was great, she opened the door for us coming in and going out. Very professional. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was great and the atmosphere was par. No complaints here at all. I'm giving this a 3/5 for great service and tasty food. It could have been more, but I don't ever expect it to come to that, since this is a chain restaurant. What it is is- just that; a chain restaurant..so don't expect too much, although West Plains is one of the better ones I have eaten at. read more

I ordered a 10 oz steak for like 20$ and the people didn't even tell me the Mac and cheese cost extra. The steak tasted like I got it at a family barbecue, not an overpriced wannabe restaurant. It was definitely not 10 oz, more like 6 oz. The whole meal was the most pathetic meal that you can possibly have in West Plains.
