The transition was going on during the length of our stay, but the service and accommodations were never lacking. The staff that I interacted with (front desk, concierge, housekeeping, bartenders) were all accommodating and eager to please. The hotel was very clean and modern. The fixtures and furniture were modern and stylish but still comfortable. The bedding and linens were clean and fresh. Housekeeping will come in and straighten your room each day, but they don't change the sheets every day. They will replace used towels with fresh ones which was nice. Right in the middle of London, it is easy walking distance to many, many things - museums, pubs, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster cathedral, and many more. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Service was great, I had a pickpocket issue on arrival to London, and the hotel security team was fantastic. They jumped right in and helped me file a police report and escorted me to my room since I was so upset. I greatly appreciated the kindness during such a tough situation. I heard the breakfast wasn't the greatest but the convenience was nice. Can't go wrong with a Hilton stay--thank you Westminster London!

For my first visit to London, it was great to be so close to Waterloo Station. I booked the Premier Inn again for a trip with a friend in my most recent visit to London. And nostalgia for my initial London visit could not save this experience we had at The Premier Inn Waterloo. Aside from the great transportation option of being so close to Waterloo Station, it's also right in eyesight and walking distance to the London eye (5 mins), Westminster Bridge/Big Ben (10 mins), and County Hall (right across the street). The Premier Inn hotel is built right into a historical landmark, The "General Lying In" (maternity) Hospital. First off, the lobby is not in the best shape, with many broken check-in machines and furniture that has seen much better days. As a plus, though, there is a Starbucks in the County Hall plaza right across the street, which we visited often, on our most recent visit. The room was ok, but it seems way more cramped than on my first stay all those years ago. Our room did have a nice view out to County Hall with a semi-view of the Eye behind it, so that was nice - and the large window did let a lot of natural light in. The bathroom was ok sized but right next to one of the beds (if you do the two bedroom configuration), so you better be very close friends or spouses to stay in that type of room, because you'll be going to the bathroom right next to them with a thin little door between you. We also saw a tiny bug in the bathroom too, so that was not the best. Another issue we had was that we stayed for an entire week and were told by the front desk that they do not change any sheets or clean your room if you weren't staying there 10 days or more. My friend even had a womanly spotting issue with her sheets and they still would not change or clean them! I've never heard of anything like that and it made the entire visit very uncomfortable. The old phrase "location, location, location" does not save this one, because the location IS great but I don't think that alone was worth all the issues we ran into here.

The hotel restaurant POTUS Is also overpriced and the bar has a very limited and over-fussy cocktail menu. I would also say the gym badly uses it's limited space with too many oversized machines. But I felt a bit conned by the upgrade I basically had to take. When I arrived I was told I could upgrade my view by 70 GBP a night. I initially declined. And then I saw my original view which looked like a council estate from 1982. Obviously some views are going to be better than others and you should pay for a river view. But even a rear view from the hotel should be decent. The hotel has done nothing with this space and it's so ugly any guest staying here would be disappointed. You could easily landscape this patch of ground, add some exterior lights, repave the cracked concrete and make it look ten times better. This aspect of the hotel was very disappointing.

I think management should review such policy and encourage guests to do as they choose with food - this likely would interest more to eat at the hotel and not on the outside. They could even consider offering guests a discount to eat at their restaurant if they are staying overnight with them (considering that they are trying to get more people to eat at their establishment). Just an idea. Must also be a European thing- but they don't provide washcloths. I do not know what people usually bring to wash themselves but I'm so used to washcloths/face towels to wash your face and Boyd with. Not here- the smallest towel provided was the hand towel but we made it work. If you book- you won't be disappointed. Good hotel. And great location.

In hindsight, I probably could have booked two adjoining rooms elsewhere for the same price, but it worked out just fine. As others have said, this hotel is located next to the London Eye and Big Ben... and overlooking the Thames River, which is really cool the first night you're there, but after a night or two, the traffic in the area gets a bit old. We did pay a pretty penny to stay here and with that came breakfast for two each day in Gilray's Steakhouse, which we took full advantage of each day. The view from both Gilray's and from our room were great. Unfortunately, the gym was under renovation when we were there, so they had a room full of equipment for guests to use, which was adequate, but definitely not the same as having a full fitness room. They did have a *slightly heated* lap pool as well. My daughter and I swam in it on our last night. I would have preferred for it to be more heated and/or to have a hot tub available too... The staff at this hotel were all nice enough including the front desk, concierge, bellmen, etc... I don't think we'll be returning to London anytime soon but if we do, I'd probably try a hotel elsewhere.

There was a rather large demonstration in London the weekend we were there and cabs could not get into the area but the staff were great. We would give this place 5 stars but the food in their main dining restaurant was really disappointing. The services was okay but less than impressive for such a beautiful and rather expensive meal. The food was not well seasoned and tasteless. We only ate in there once after the not very pleasant experience. The afternoon tea was nice. The bar was really lovely and overlooked the QUeen's tower, Big Ben and the London Eye, which was really beautiful.

The next time I book a hotel for Londontown, it'll be nearer to the underground, which eliminates the Novotel London Waterloo from my future lodging options. Service was severely lacking. Our sheets were never changed even though there was an obvious stain (I'm not admitting to buying & eating an entire Colin the Caterpillar cake, but *somehow* the frosting ended up on the comforter.) And when we requested extra amenities, what was brought to us was either incomplete or completely incorrect. And finally, we ordered a couple pizzas from the bar downstairs & the two women assisting us were impolite. The pepperoni pizza had five sparse discs, all carelessly placed in one area of the pie (see pic), & not that I was surprised, taste & quality left much to be desired. Not the most comfortable stay; room was cramped with little to no storage. Some upsides: walking distance to Big Ben & Westminster Abbey, firm bed & the toilet is in a separate room from the shower, but inefficient service & location make this an unacceptable hotel for me.

After a brief wait, we were seated downstairs in a beautiful area and ordered what we wanted for tea. We were slightly rushed because we went to see the matinee of Hamilton, but I have to tell you I found this to be one of the fanciest and most beautiful preparations I've seen. Insanely talented team here. Our server Oxsana (sorry if I didn't spell her name right) was so apologetic but it was not necessary. She went above and beyond what anyone would expect from service, explaining everything so we knew what it was, and offering refills and food or dessert replacements. Apparently people come and sit for hours eating seconds and thirds. No way! Too much indulgence lol. She was so amazing to my nephew. Brought him some things to remember his trip and it was incredibly sweet. Mohammed was great, checking in, apologetic but again, things happen and we got to have tea anyways. Thank you to the team here. I took a photo of the loo because it is so insanely nice and fancy. London is a wonderful place, and the Guardsman afternoon tea is worth the stop!
