First thing to mention here is that I'm a Hilton guy. I have been since 2004. In fact, I only…read morestay with other chains when forced to by my company. I say that so it helps the reader understand my perspective here in that, I'd stay with this chain again. All things being equal, I put it on par with a Hilton Garden Inn. The interior is nice and modern. For the most part, the hotel was pretty clean too. The staff was friendly. One thing I noticed is that there usually wasn't anyone at the front desk when I came down in the morning. In fact, when my room didn't get serviced the first night, I stopped at the desk to ask if I needed to request it. I stood there for about 5-7 minutes before I left because no one came out to help. That and the fact they don't put microwaves in the rooms were the only inconveniences I experienced. The rooms are quite small, but not too bad. I don't know how I feel about everything being in the same room, but at least there is a pocket door for the bathroom...but that is required by code. Lastly, if you are going to stay at this property, you need to be forewarned about the elevators. They are super slow. On at least 3 occasions during my week-long stay I had to wait 10 or more minutes for an elevator. Considering there are only four floors, I would have expected them to be faster. All in all, it was a good stay and I'd consider staying again. If you're in the Livermore area, and looking for a hotel, you should consider this one.

Had an amazing stay at this Aloft for a number of nights here…read more Rooms were cool, nice square studio layouts. Gym was impressive for a smaller hotel, treadmills, free weights and a giant Smith machine with a bunch of stuff. The staff were incredible, special shout out to Jeanne R., for taking care of us so well. I remember going to bed at like 11ish, saying goodnight to Jeanne at the front desk. I get up to trade with the markets at six ish and she's still at the front desk when I went to get fresh coffee. Holy cow! She made our stay incredible pleasant and easy. The lobby is nice and quiet in the mornings to work, spent many hours with my dog like that. The free coffee 24/7 is not bad too. Slight issues...include the residential complex behind the hotel...there are some freaking psycho drivers and I almost got run over on the straightaway next to the backup generator. Not sure if anything can be done about that realistically. What else..the ethnic smells from the neighboring businesses are not fantastic...at all. Nor the 20-30 ethnic kids who show up to steal snacks every weekday afternoon. But man, a great spot in the Bay Area, two Costco's. Country Waffles nearby. Some of the best dim sum is here too with Mayflower (RIGHT OUTSIDE, YAY) and Koi Palace two blocks away. If you're into golf, Bridges is nearby with a beautiful course that's hard as hell. Outlets nearby.

I ordered a 16 oz (large) coffee, but was served a 12 oz. When it was brought to our table, I politely asked about the size since it looked smaller than what I usually get. The barista told me it was 12 oz and mentioned it might just be a different cup, then walked away without really addressing the concern. I checked my receipt and confirmed I was charged for a 16 oz. I went back to the counter and explained that I simply wanted the correct size. Initially, I was told I would need to pay more, which was frustrating. After explaining again, she finally offered to remake it. For clarity, the drink hadn't been touched at all--I returned it exactly as it was. I really like this place and will continue to support it, but I hope the team can improve on order accuracy and customer service, especially when concerns are raised politely. A little more attentiveness and willingness to resolve issues would go a long way.

Coffee shop located in the heart of Downtown Pleasanton. I'm not sure this place took over another…read morebusiness at some point because the space is really large. It also has an old-timey study or library or at least a literary vibe to this place. There's multiple rooms, including a stage in the back room. I think they have events here. Service is friendly and they have classic drinks as well as some festive ones. I was here on St. Patrick's Day so I got something festive even though it was overly sugary lol. I ordered the Lucky Charms White Mocha. It was tasty, but definitely a drink I wouldn't be able to order on the regular. I was able to set up my computer and one of the side rooms and get some work done. This place seems to be a very popular place for studying and doing some work. Just a great place in a great area. They have a large lot and there's also plenty of street parking in the area, especially during the day.

A Solid Spot for Meetings -- and More…read more This has been a great venue for meetings over the years. I've been here multiple times, and it's always been clean, comfortable, and well-suited for a professional setting. It's one of those places where you can focus, have a productive conversation, and not be distracted by the environment. Looking at some of the photos and seeing how the space is set up, I can also see this being a strong option for hosting parties or personal events. It feels like the kind of place where you could have a catered dinner with friends and not have to worry about cleaning your house or dealing with restaurant wait times. From my experience, it consistently delivers on what it's supposed to be -- a reliable, comfortable space. If you've used it for an event or gathering, I'd be interested to hear how it worked for you. Give it a try and leave your review. Good spots are worth sharing, and honest feedback helps everyone decide where to go -- or where to pass.

We didn't have your everyday…read morewedding, we actually had a costumed Hallowedding reception, so we needed a place to fit the theme as well as meet our other criteria: open until at least 11pm, no catering or alcohol requirements (freedom :)), under $1500 to rent, and in the bay area. The Barn was the best fit for us. Things to note about the Barn: -There is an old wooden bar that you can move depending on where you want it -250 person capacity -There is a dusty smell to the Barn as it's older, with candles we didn't notice it -The Barn isn't super clean, there is a little bit of dust and cobwebs, but it is a barn afterall -The bathrooms are pretty minimalistic, the men's room actually doesn't have a door -There are big white panels on the indoor walls of the Barn which look great with uplighting -They make you have security, but it wasn't prohibitive or even noticeable -There is plenty of parking -They don't allow kegs -It is better for a night reception, as the night makes the Barn's flaws less noticeable -There is a minimal kitchen for a catering company to use -We rented chairs, tables, and a dance floor, rather than using what came with the Barn -They don't clean, so make sure you arrange for cleanup Overall it was perfect for our wedding, I just don't think it would be perfect for everyone's wedding. The LARPD staff were very easy to work with and we got our full deposit refunded without a problem. I'd recommend the Barn hands down for someone looking for rustic on a budget and at night :). See pics.

I had about 160 +/- guests and if you aren't hiring anyone I'd suggest to add about 4 hrs. before the start to setup all those tables and chairs that is provided by the venue. Great service before, during and after the event, however there were 2 issues I encountered. 1- we got double-booked hence the party being on Friday but we did get compensated for it. 2- i was told no alcohol and the security guards were like really?! In the end though because of the rainy weather it was meant to be because of everyone's safety. If you are creative this is the place for you (personally I'm not). I'm use to walking into hotel banquet rooms and then off to have fun so unless you hire a staff or have a great support system like me this is a good choice. We embraced the walls. Rather than covering it up our awesome DJ lighted it up did then popped it with a monogram. Overall yea I'd rent here again. The kitchen was great and we just added a little bathroom necessity basket for the guests to use. Have guests bring a jacket because it can get cold but since we were all dancing and having fun we warmed up quick!

I always wanted to visit the house, but it only recently opened to the public has a house museum. I was fortunate to be able to join a small group for a private tour. As soon as we were met by a Docent in period dress the mood was set. Walking over the bridge to the house she started to tell the history of the Glass Family and the Valley as it was in 1877. Stepping though the door is really a step back in time. The nine room house is decorated as it would have been when the Glass family lived there. Everyone of the nine rooms was clean and not a bit of dust could be seen on the many knickknacks that the Victorians adorned their homes with. Everything in the house is original to the period. While the rugs, wallpaper, and some of the fabrics on furniture are new, they are all period reproductions. The knowledge that the two docents, Pat and Kim, shared was amazing. In addition to the story of the Glass family and the San Ramon Valley, they peppered their talk with some CA. history. I came away with even more of an appreciation of women in the 19th century working in those long dresses There is a connection between the Glass family and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. You will have to take a tour with either Pat or Kim to get the rest of the story.
