Kevin came through on a moments notice!…read more Our realtor friend (who works out of OC) was going to help us find renters in our Redondo property after we'd relocated to OC. But once we were ready and our handyman fixed the few necessities, she was scheduled to go on a bit of an impromptu week+ long vacation, leaving us feeling panicked for the need to put our home on the MLS and get renters quickly. Our old realtor friend hadn't been looped in that we would be ready soon, so my friend Erin, who also works at BH but is taking a break, contacted Kevin on our behalf. Immediately we had a call from Kevin and his plan to list our place. He quickly whipped up a landlord contract and agreement and set things in motion with us not having to do much more than lift our fingers to DocuSign! Right away he went to our property, snapped photos, even made a few adjustments (light bulbs, pull chain repair on a fan we hadn't realized was broken), made notes of anything that needed fixing. For example we had no idea we had a slow leak from the clothes washer since we'd always had it connected! Quick call to our handyman and that was dealt with and we were back on track. Anyway Kevin visited daily, lined up a whole slew of walk throughs and showings, and kept us up to date on the regular. He made us feel like we were getting the VIP treatment all the time. Our realtor friend then, as a disclaimer, put the bug in my ear that some agents are slime balls and will delay finding renters if they know you're apt to sell if you're in a tight spot so they can make a better commission check, so I was paranoid. I started to worry that all the showings weren't going through, because -- what if Kevin seemed truly amazing on the outside but unbeknownst to us, he was holding out hope we'd give up? Of course I sent my friend Erin a paranoid email around midnight. She told me almost right away that of course this happens in this market, but instantly she allayed my concerns for she knew he was a truly standup guy (which is why you ask your friends for recommendations, right? Why did I doubt him since he came highly recommended from our good friends?!) and that kevin is a very determined hard working agent. Being the open book that I am, I admitted to him that I'd had those fears. He validated my concerns, and even volunteered to speak with our realtor friend. I really should've listened to my gut because through and through Kevin has gone above and beyond. Before every single showing he visited our property to present it in its best light and most airiness, to get that coastal breeze in our living spaces. The market was insanely slow, but he managed to get us set up with a really great group of renters, and we hope they want to stay for a while. He even kept all our "before" photos on a flash drive for our records. He never let on that he was annoyed by my incessant need for a status update. Kevin was a gem, and we are looking forward to him selling our home when the time comes!

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin recently when my brothers and I decided to sell our childhood home after several years of renting the property to military families. We were very fortunate to have great renters over the last 8 years but being a landlord in another county and keeping up require maintenance became too costly and property management took time away from other commitments. Kevin and his Berkshire Hathaway team were able to find a buyer quickly and we were fortunate to complete the sale with a qualified buyer and short escrow without having to list and show the property. This made the process easier with brothers living out of state. Many of the documents could be managed electronically with allowed for easy access in our busy multi-time zone schedules. Selling a house can be stressful, selling the only home you grew up is emotionally draining. Kevin was ready and willing to pitch in and help me get go through the remaining items that had been stored in the garage. He was always available for advice and kind words. His attention to details and quick response make him an asset to his profession. It was a pleasure to work with him and if the need comes up in the future I would gladly use him again!!!!!
