He finished off the top of the fence as well so it looks great and is sturdy. One of his tricks is to use screws instead of nails as nails can work their way out (as evidenced by the top of my fence in other areas). He came out within a few days, provided a written estimate, showed up as schedule, performed the work to my great satisfaction! He's my fence guy from now on!

Big Al did an artscape on a truly ugly, cracked patio and made it look beautiful. All other estimates wanted to demolish and pour a new slab.... In addition, he installed a porch with rails off of the patio, which came out perfect. On another occasion he poured a slab for a shed and leveled a brick patio so that all of the bricks were even and then sealed the whole patio. He installed one of the Suncast sheds for me and did a great job.... Very pleasant to work with....will continue to use him and refer to friends and family. He does all sorts of tasks, so will be making a list. Can't imagine he got a bad review....guess we all have an off day?

Edgar took over Everest Roofing from his father. Dad taught him well. His response to service…read morerequests are very fast indeed. I've used Edgar five times. Four of them in the last month or so. He shows up when he says he's going to show up. He explains the work to be done in person and then follows it up with a written estimate. On each occasion he not only performed the agree-upon work, but usually found a few other little things and just took care of them. Many roofers can't be bothered with small jobs and annoying repair jobs. Edgar has happily taken on those small jobs for me at a cost that has been, I must say, quite reasonable. So, Value = 5 Stars. Quality = 5 Stars. Attention to Detail = 5 Stars. Prompt Service = 5 Stars. Could not be happier.

If you need a new roof Everest roofing is the best. They are experienced and their family has been installing roofs for over 30 years. I can't say enough about what a great job they did. After the big storm this year we had several leaks and Edgar was able to get us a fair quote and get started on the job within a week. He identified several issues with the existing roof and the previous installation where the leaks were occurring. He even tracked down a problem with our chimney which was another place where water was getting into the house and sealed the chimney for us. (see photos) We went with the "painted desert" color and absolutely love how everything turned out. He even trimmed back two huge tree limbs that were dangerously close to our roof at no charge. (see before & after photos) Now we have peace of mind that our home is safe from water damage. We were presented with several options including roofing vents, solar tubes (for more natural light in our home), and new gutters. We never felt pressured with any of the decisions on the options we were presented with. I love the vents in the roof which have really helped with keeping heat out of the attic. We use the attic for storage and it has made a huge difference up there. It also lets in a ton of light which is another benefit when we are up there. (see photos) We're going to have Edgar come back to install gutter guard on one portion of our gutter system where we get a lot of falling leaves from the trees next to our house. Everest roofing is a family owned local business that you can trust with your next roofing project. The pictures really show the quality of the craftsmanship and care that went into the project. I would use Everest roofing again in a heartbeat and I'm excited to have Edgar come back and put in our gutter guard. Fair. Honest. Happy Customer!

Yuki Kozuki is the owner of the Kozuki Landscaping that has been around the bay area for 18 years…read more At least, that is what his business card stated. He is a licensed landscaping contractor. He told us his father is Japanese and his mother is Vietnamese. His English is very, very basic, but he understands what we want for our yards. We recently hired him to install/repair the sprinkler system for the front and back yard with a new timer in the garage, minor clean up in the front yard, river rocks in the front yard, new sod for the backyard (approximately 1000 sq.ft. of new lawn), and a MAJOR clean up in the backyard. He first quoted me close to $10k for the whole project. I waited and received 3 other estimates for the project. I called him back and told him what the other landscapers quoted me, which is around $7k. He dropped his price to the high end of the $7k. We wanted him to work on our yards, because he has his own stable crew. He works on-site along his crew members. He provided a huge photo album of all the houses he worked on in the past few years. His specialties are koi pond, waterfalls, concrete and wood works. We are not talking about the store-bought fountains or ponds either. He built them from scratch. His photos showed the step by step process of how he set up a waterfall/pond in one of his customer's backyard. Trust me when I say I distrust contractors like I distrust Bush's administration. I have had a horrible experience with a fraudulent contractor, so I was very skeptical of his promises to begin with. He took the $1k deposit and started the job the next day. He worked on my yards for 7 days and about 6 hours each day. He did not ask me to pay him in the middle of the work. He did go out of his way to make my yards look great. He welded a new faucet in the backyard, because the old one is too old. He replaced an old lumber in the walkway. He made sure everything is neat and tidy. He dug the holes for my new plants. He put drip irrigation in some area. The job was finished on 10/05. I noticed there was a small puddle of water next to the new valves on 10/07. I called him immediately and he came out today to look at the puddle. He promptly dug out the puddle and fixed the problem. I am giving Kozuki Landscaping 4 stars instead of 5 stars, because of the initial over-priced quote he gave us. For the final payment, he asked me if I can pay him in cash, all $6700 of it. I refused his request and he was very amiable about it. I would recommend his service for small or big projects. You can drop my name when he is giving you an estimate and ask him for a discount.

After we decided to move forward with Kozuki, we felt the concrete layout way great along with the design aspects. He bought in large boulders to our surprise at no charge for added rugged look. He also build a gazebo that we requested and installed the sprinkler system. I decided to paint the gazebo on my own to save some money. I think the pricing is average to high, however the quality of work is excellent. I guess the saying is you pay for what you get. You can tell the owner Zozuki is very straight forward and upfront, but honest. I'm glad we worked with him and would recommend his services.

They would also eat lunch during my time using a propane stove under the tree and left their aluminum foil lunch refuse on the ground afterwards. But if that is not all enough I paid them thousands of dollars to properly irrigate our trees but instead of finishing the job they left the water line unconnected to spill freely for months. They neglected the Oleander hedge as the water line was crimped and the hedge received no water for months. When I complained to them they did not care. When I fired them they sent me another invoice for work I had completed and paid for months earlier. I feel like a fool for trusting them.
