I bought a 2010 equinox about a month ago from here. I was skeptical based off some of the other reviews and wanted to wait a little bit to write a review. But since buying the car I have had absolutely no issues. I've driven it to Pennsylvania and back and been completely fine. when looking at the car, I was not a fan of the smoke smell and they stayed after and came in early to re-detail it to make sure it smelled good whenever I purchased it. I had a strict budget as I am a college student and didn't have a lot of money to spend on a car and they were very accommodating and overall the staff was very nice . they even drove with me down the road after purchasing the car and put some gas in it. after purchasing it I took it to Buckeye Honda in Lancaster Ohio just to make sure everything looked good. I wish I would have read all the reviews about this business before I paid 8 grand on a vehicle that lasted only one month! Similar to other reviews, the engine was indeed blown and we were quoted 8-10 grand to completely replace, not by them, but by professionals, but because we just bought the car outright, we were not in the position to pour another 10 grand into it. We are a family of 4 with 2 younger kids. My husband is disabled and I work hard to provide for my family. I had to take an 8,000 dollar loss and that is probably close to half of my yearly income. It definitely hurt. I pray that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way and we have been pretty good about figuring out how to pick up the pieces and move on. We bought a 2011 VW tiguan and on the way home the oil light started to flash. We looked at everything and called the dealership and we were told that their mechanic cleared it and most likely it was a sensor issue. We purchased a new sensor and replaced it and reset the car....that was our mistake...trusting them! I learned through all this that when you do a reset, sometimes the alerts will silence close to a month...atleast someone had told me this and it seems to fit my unfortunate experience. So, we carried on believing that it was fixed and it was only the sensor, because the light no longer flashed. There were no other signs of a problem besides an oil leak that we noticed after a couple of weeks, and honestly, I am used to driving clunkers, that is why I was so excited....I was finally going to have something nice! Anyways, I have had many cars that leak oil and lasts many more years. I don't really know cars, only through experience. When the car started to putter on the freeway, which let me share with you, we were driving home from Columbus after filing a police report because our other car was STOLEN from the mechanic shop out there we were lucky enough to lose both of vehicles, our only vehicles, on the same day! Our luck needs to change, lol....please beware folks....it's so unfortunate that people scam hard working families struggling to make it these days, but I still believe that the good outweighs the bad! If I could give 0 stars I would!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This is going to be a long post but just want to warn anyone wanting to buy here. Less than one week of having the car THE ENGINE IS BLOWN!!!! We were looking for a first car for our son and found something we liked here. Drove over an hour to shop there, found an equinox he liked so we purchased it. Never should have bought it!!! When you have to sign a "SOLD AS IS" paper, you know you're getting a piece of crap. We should have known better but our son was excited to get his first car so we went through with it. He got less than 8 miles down the road after we left and the muffler blew out (it had muffler mend on it) and it was leaking oil (which they told us was just residual oil). Long story short, my husband called the owner (who is near impossible to reach and does not answer texts or calls in any timely manner whatsoever) and he said he would "make things right" (which we thought was pretty decent since it was sold "as is"). So after the couple days it took to reach him, we drove it back over and dropped it off. Very minimal communication after that, we called and they said they were waiting on parts. 2 weeks later they tell us it's fixed and ready. We show up and it's still leaking oil only to find out they changed the oil pan (which didn't need to be changed) and didn't fix the reason it was leaking (which was a rear main seal), they then said they weren't waiting on parts but the time to fix it??? Was told by the WEASEL of an owner that is was just residual oil and so we asked them to put it up on the lift and just take a look at it. They were finally honest and said it was not residual and that they would fix the rear main seal. 2 weeks later (again) with very minimal communication we were told it was ready (the 4th time driving out there). I went to pick it up and the owner tried to charge me even more than what he had just told my husband it was going to cost (again, a VERY WEASELY LITTLE MAN!!!) So we took it home, it was running alright but here we are a week later and my son was just driving to Dayton on 35 and it totally locked up on him and stopped running completely while he was on the highway. He was terrified!!! Just had to have the piece of junk towed back to our house and the engine is blown. Less than one week of having it in our possession and THE ENGINE IS BLOWN. I will NEVER do business with this place again and urge everyone NOT to buy here!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! NOTHING HERE IS EVEN WORTH A DOLLAR!!!! read more
