The joy I'm feeling as I type this review is indescribable. FINALLY, I have found a PROPER Jamaican restaurant with PROPER JERK food and for a reasonable price. The chef is in the back GRILLINGGGGG that meat- oxtail, chicken, goat meat, beef ribs. Meat, that I as a Jamaican, never imagined could be jerked, they jerk and it's delicious. The flavors and the tender meat- just wow. This is literally a gem in for the state of NJ for sure. I'm telling ya'll, I have been to MANYYYYY restaurants and the jerk is always baked. I unfortunately had to change my high opinion of this establishment. Disgusting service via phone when I called to find out why my order kept getting pushed back. Waited over an hour for my order..when I called, the manager who is apparently at a totally different location, told me they were out of jerk chicken and that I needed to cancel the order. I explained to her if I canceled the order I'm going to be charged. I also explained to her that as a merchant, she has the option of letting me know VIA THE APP that they're out of the item AND then cancelling the order..She stated that she can do neither, which is a blatant lie..!!!! I ended up having to cancel the order and now I have to dispute the charge with my bank since getting a refund from Ubereats is NOT an option if customers cancel the order. Jerk chicken fresh. I got it towards closing and it was still fresh and hot. Sweet jerk sauce still spicy. Great flavor the pasta creamy Parmesan taste I literally love it. It is also just the right amount of spice. The quantity of noodles wasn't what I was expecting it was not a lot of noodles. Definitely should add some more noodles for $21. The food is very good tho. Stopped by here by chance since I have seen this place pop up on a couple social media pages. They mentioned this was one of the best Jamaican joints in the area. By no means am I a connoisseur on Jamaican food but this was really good. The Jerk chicken was juicy and had a nice grill/char taste with a good kick of that jerk marinade. I can't wait to travel back that way to try them out! Its a small space, so it isn't a "dine-in" spot. They did have some outside seating, but not for a lot of people. I loved the backroom wall as well as the decor in the insider. They have this cute wall with their sign so you can get that Instagram picture. It was nice and clean. Ordered cabbage this time. I paid close to $9 for two orders. The portions were so small that I actually called to complain. Overhead cost can be expensive but cabbage doesn't cost that much. They were very nice on the phone promising better quantity next time. However, my last visit was similar. As much as I like the food, I'm moving on.
