At 3:34pm Eddie stated he'll check with office. At 7:06 pm he stated the office had nothing signed by me and for me to check my email. Aug 27 at 7:50 am I sent a screen shot showing that I have not received any Docusign correspondence June and asked who the email address was from so I could reverse search for the email. Aug 29th at 9:46 am, I asked Eddie again to please send the contract. Sept 4th at 5:52 pm, I asked for a timeline again for the contract, materials, work scheduled and eta for completion. I haven't had a response from Eddie since Aug 27th. On Sept 5th at 2:16 pm, I asked to just have my $2600 returned. Sept 12th, 1:31 pm, Sept 14th, 1:20 pm, I texted again, "Hi Eddie, can you please send me your email please. Following up. I'd like for the return of the $2600 since there was never a contract, work started and no follow up, no contact and service rendered. I'm moving in a different direction. FINALLY, Sept 15th at 11:26 am Eddie replied, Hey SP we will work quickly on getting you an invoice for services provided this far and hash out any remaining balance or refunds, thank you. Aug 21st, I texted Eddie again asking to please finalize this. As of today, I still haven't received any email, text or refund from DFI, Remodeling, LLC. I need help. I left a BBB complaint today. This is an insurance claim and I need to get the work completed.

About this time, we noticed charges for things that we should have never been billed for as well as charges for his staff to repair their mistakes.  After a few months, Scott sent his staff to other jobs and very little work was being done at our house. Scott was storing construction materials at our house and some areas were not usable. I called Scott about getting the job finished; he was condescending but did go ahead and promise to finish the work by a certain date. Later on I asked Scott about the leftover tile, worth lots of money, that he and Wendy picked up at my house months ago to return to three stores. We were credited with the return to one store but we never got anything else. Scott said the store would only offer them approx. $20... I asked if I could pick it up and Scott said, "The tile was donated. You don't need it." So, I asked for a receipt but I never got one. I called the store where Scott said he donated it and found out that Scott had only donated one box of tile. In addition, I discovered some of the tile placed in our attic was missing. I told Scott about this and he attempted to belittle me but said he would help look for it. It was never found and Scott was angry and denied that they took the tile, instead of working with me to resolve the issue. We knew his staff took it and tried to handle it gingerly. After seven + months we terminated his services. At that point we had paid Scott $308.396. for an unfinished job - well beyond the original estimates and months beyond the original time frame. Scott and Wendy's share of this was $61,875. Scott charged us 25% extra on all labor as well as 25% extra for materials purchased. There were so many issues that we couldn't possibly address all of them. We feel taken advantage of and if you saw the work done you would understand why.
