I took it in and was upsold immediately on replacing the nut and saddle. They were backed up so my guitar was with them twice as long as estimated (over two weeks). When I came to pick it up Jarred told me he had good and bad news - the good news was they replaced the frets, nut and saddle and my cost was $443 the bad news was they cracked open the scarf joint and then in trying to pry open the joint to re-glue it they cracked the headstock. I was so shocked that they had damaged my guitar - no apologies and still expected me to pay $443. I did pay and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I will pursue BBB to reclaim damages. The guitar still has an amazing sound but the playability is lower and the new frets have jagged edges. Stay away.

I have been in the market for a baby grand piano, for the last few years. I had previously been…read moreunder the impression, that Irene Besse was closing, and being taken over, by her son-in-law, Micheal. When she still owned her store, I had the chance to try a new Kawai Digital Grand. I liked the instrument, but wasn't in a position to buy one, at the time. Since then, we have lost our piano (due to the flooding of June 2013), and I'm now seriously looking at getting a new instrument. Since I had looked at the old store, I thought that I should check out Micheal's stock. I went into his store, and was appalled at how poorly I was treated by the sales woman. I came in, being friendly, and started to explain what I was looking for, and she was a total snob, stating that they don't sell digitals. When I went ahead to explain the reason (link to Irene Besse), that I thought that they might, she, in no uncertain terms, told me that Micheal had nothing to do with the old store now, and had been in business for years before she closed. I don't mind being educated, as to the status of the store, or the type of product that they do/don't sell, but this information can be delivered in a respectful manner. As a former piano purist, and someone who has been in the music industry for over 25 years, it's a shame that they had such a poor attitude to my enquiries. As it is, I went to a competitor, and have since ordered an acoustic, and spent over $15,000. I would never recommend anyone spend their money there, as they obviously have no respect for the client.

Even after I spent time following up to confirm the delivery window to align with condo elevator booking windows, Major League was unable to follow-through. They seemed to retreat back to Inglewood trying to shake the bad reviews. Christa J in her review is a bit confused on what she is able to do and understand about her hi-fi and is placing a bad judgment on Planet Hi-fi as I have had somewhat better experience with them as my friends had.
