I've eaten outside twice and even just sitting in the area eating the food takes me away like I'm on holiday. You're surrounded by greenery and ugh the decor is very LA/Balinese vibes - it's really pretty. They make great drinks both smoothies& mocktails at breakfast time ;). They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, & coffee and cakes from Jocelyn's Provisions ! Biggest yass ever because JP cakes are so yum. Table service and wait staff are good - they do get very busy though especially on weekends I have noticed. I have never noticed irritability or rudeness at all, despite how busy they get the staff always appear professional and calm. It is more $$ but the food and drinks is 5/5 quality. Street Parking is available both on the main road and just in the side streets - it's a short walk to score free parking. I already know this is one of my go to places for brunch with my friends if I feel like having a fancy brunch ohohoho!

The cafe itself is amongst the Hillsdon Road Centre of businesses and is at the back of the convenience store. There's three or four small tables (ideal for parties of one or two) and a small communal table (maybe for 6) within the cafe and outdoor seating in the courtyard. On a sunny day, or even on the grey day today, it's great to sit outside and soak up the leafy surrounds. The menu isn't fussy. It takes up one A5 sheet of paper and I opted for the baked eggs but you might prefer the avocado on sourdough toast with their homemade almond butter or the savoury mince. My baked eggs are served with leek and capsicum jam and tarragon which, when baked, gives the eggs this wonderfully subtle taste of licorice/ aniseed. I order one flat white and one ice latte during the course of my time waking up amongst the cafe with locals popping in and out for the mornings hits. What the most pleasant surprise of all is the total I paid for breakfast. $15.50 for baked eggs and two coffees. And this isn't some slap-dash-side-of-the-road-truck-stop-inspired-big-breakfast. No, it's thoughtful. It's a quality production and I'm not sure I want to tell anyone about it for fear of it becoming too popular!

That part of Indro is spoilt for choice of eateries, so the fact that it's our favourite says something very positive. It's a CAFE, not a fine dining experience. I've never been blown away by a cafe, and don't expect to be. I give it a 5 because the food is really very good and the choice much wider than I would normally expect of a small eatery. The coffee is excellent! It's a family-run business and unexpected high numbers of clients or the illness of a staff member can sometimes make service slow. Most places who have the gimmicky large size, really water down their coffees and dull down the taste of the cakes. Not this place. For that I will be thankful. With the new renovation of Indooroopilly Shopping Centre comes a cafe like Foundry and on looks alone, blows out of the water the idea of what a shopping centre cafe "should be." They're pouring locally roasted coffee, Dramanti and the service is speedy. I ordered a Flat White and found it was far too milky for my liking. Note: my liking. Coffee is such a personal preference and on this occasion, I ordered wrong. Knowing the Dramanti Beans, I should have gone for a piccolo or long black with hmos. There's also the welcome surprise that all the food in their small display cabinet, right down to the bagels, is gluten free. Glutards UNITE!

I ordered a medium (mug) dirty chai and a turkey, brie and chutney bagel. Mum ordered a small capp, they didn't use the farmer's milk but that's okay I guess, not everyone's on board yet! The dirty chai was made pretty well though and it tasted pretty good with the soy milk they used. They ask for your name when you order and had heaps of people working on the machines. It was crazy busy. We managed to grab a small table at the very end and waited for a short while. It was pretty great. We got our bagel much later though and the (manager, I think) offered us another coffee on the house and apologised. It was all good though. We knew they were super busy and the gesture was more than enough. The bagel was pretty nommy... but probably not the greatest idea when I'm drinking a heavy dirty chai! They used real turkey! Nomnomnom! It was so good and totally appreciate it when restaurants and cafes use real ingredients!

"Are you sure it's the Diva Lounge? It says it is a day spa." While we all made jokes about having a single origin delicately applied to our faces for a caffeine boosting facial, he remained adamant he'd seen food and people as he walked past. So yes, The Diva Lounge is a day spa and it sits neighbouring a cafe that has been open not even a month called El Divo Espresso Bar. We arrived at about 12:30 on a Saturday and were the only ones there, although it did get a bit busier as the afternoon wore on. There's a simple, one-paged menu and we went with the pea and asparagus fritatta (I'm still not sure about the side of Grain Waves) and enjoyed cookies and cream cupcakes for dessert. They serve Schibello coffee and my flat white was definitely more enjoyable than my iced coffee. Oh, they also do a straight cold pour over coffee, too. Next time, Gidget, next time! Overall it was a lovely way to spend an hour catching up with friends in what could have been our own backyard courtyard.
