There's always much family, fun & food at the Fall Festival. There are some fun craft and artist booths to browse through too. Each year we say "goodbye" to some favorites and we welcome some new artists as well. On Sunday we returned for the amazing annual Rotary club chicken Dinner! We got chicken, corn on cob & potato chips & a cookie. The chicken is always awesome & tasty! We love this annual event, along with the great people watching! The bands this year were exceptional and people were even dancing with their dogs! I should have gotten a video because it was so much fun to see this one guy dancing on the lawn with his Great Dane! We saw that man who dresses up like Abraham Lincoln too! The weather was great and a great time was had by all! Thank you to the city of Plymouth for having these great functions & getting families to make memories together. See you next year!!

This year, the highs will reach 40. Having said that, this a magical festival based on absolutely beautiful, if transitory, works of art. The ice sculptures were impressive. I'd like to see the number of statues increase in the future. February is one of my least favorite months because it's cold and there aren't a lot of outdoor activities. The ice festival was fun and encouraged me to go to Plymouth twice to take a walk around town to see the ice sculptures. I'd like to see more winter events like the ice festival that bring people together and have a positive impact on local businesses. I stopped by Max and Bella's Smokehouse for the first time to get dinner while I was at the ice festival. I recommend eating here for a quick take-out plate. I thought there would be a long wait but the business was prepared to serve quick and hearty meals. There were also food trucks and food vendors next to Kellogg Park. Don't expect an internationally renowned ice festival like the one in Harbin, China, but this is a decent festival for a small city and worth seeing.

The ride is about 15 min but the shuttle is comfy (it is a huge bus)! You pay at a tent and don't need a ticket. The shuttle dropped us off right at the end so we could start from the side (there are many vendors). It was right by the fire station. It was very hot walking through but we did find a market that was perfectly air conditioned to cool down in! We bought a refreshing Acai bowl at Wander Bowls Acai, a cookie from Chocolate Chipped Bakery (SO good and they give you a coupon for a free cookie at their farmington location), and a birthday card from the store Vitrine (also nicely air conditioned and has the cutest things)!! We saw the blue fountain, chalk art, music performer, the jurassic park dinosaur, etc. Overall, the vendors are great but it was a crazy hot day and so we didn't have enough energy to walk the whole thing. Loved what we did get to see and I think it is worth attending!

Throughout the year, the Plymouth Historical Museum puts on some amazing events. My kids' favorites…read moreare their Christmas events. All the volunteers are so invested in their characters! The museum itself is quaint but we'll thought out. They have a large exhibit and information on Abraham Lincoln as well as the Daisy Air Rifle Factor. When we visited during the holidays, the exhibit was all about old toys. The staff is friendly and kind. They also have an archive section that you're able to set up a time to peruse. We live in an older home in the area and I'll be back one of these days to set up a time to look into my house and it's former inhabitants. Additionally, there is a strain caboose in the back the museum purchased not long ago. You can explore it with museum admission and during the holidays, Santa takes visitors there. It's a wonderful place to support and learn about Plymouth's history.

She is very…read moreshy and socially quiet, but the teacher Sonia made it so fun that by the end of the week she was singing and dancing! There's little pressure on the kids, and they really seem to emphasize the FUN of exploring theater, acting, movement, etc., as a child. In addition, my daughter has major medical needs, and they closely worked with us to find ways that she could still participate despite some restrictions. They even have 'art buddies' for special circumstances- a truly unique offering in any kind of children's programs! We will be back for sure.

The food wasn't impressive and was fairly overpriced for what it was, but they had many options, just not very much for dietary restrictions, so definitely recommend bringing some snacks/eating beforehand. From the perspective of urban planning, this is such an ingenious use of a parking lot that otherwise doesn't get as much use in the summer months. We love land uses that create space for people to gather and enjoy entertainment without having to change the overall location!
