This doesn't give you the full sound effects experience. "Pic proof"

This is probably my worst experience on the waterfront As a concert venue.I went to see Dwele last night- I'm being kind when I say :"it was a horrible concert". They need a sound engineer- ASAP!! They need to do a mic check for the venue; the acoustics of the arena were just absolutely horrible Worst night Ever!! I wasted time, money & energy. I can NOT imagine what the promoters are going to do when Maxwell comes to town in the next two weeks total garbage. I was so disappointed he's (Dwele) one of my favorite artist~ the entire experience TOTALLY turned me off. If I could, I'd ask for a REFUND!!

Loved it! The sound was great, and ambiance with the river behind the stage made it so beautiful. Easy in and out. Enjoyable experience and will return!

We typically sit either in the Pit or in section 100 or 200. Sound is fine there (The Time, Pieces of a Dream, Brian Culbertson, many others). We have sat in 700 before and yes, the sound was muddied up there. Things may have improved since then, though. Now they have projection screens on both sides of the canopy, which is really cool if you're not close. We shall see tonight when we sit on the lawn for George Clinton--Note to self: buy George Clinton on the first day of sale. Further reporting later! Such a treasure to have a place like this in Detroit. P.S. The lawn is NICE! If you're here for the atmosphere (and possibly, herbaceous aromas) this is a perfectly acceptable section! Burgers, sausage on a pretzel bun, THE BLUE DRINK (Bacardi Hurricane- the same one you get on any corner in the French Quarter in New Orleans!) and you have one perfect night in the D. For real.

Been here many times for different concerts and it's a HIT every time!…read more From the main floor, to high top seats by the sound booth, to balcony seats, there isn't a bad spot here to experience your favorite band or act. Many show up early and start the line that winds around the building so be ready for that. Rain, shine or snow! Haven't ordered any food here through all the concerts we've been to but have purchased a few cocktails and beers and the prices are reasonable for a venue like this. Cheaper than an arena that's for sure! The lights and sometimes the pyro that is allowed here is top notch. Mixed with the sound that rocks your chest (depending on the band of course), you get your money's worth. All of the ones we've been too have "gone over the specified time". Whatever that means, we're enjoying it. Whether it's the FIlmore's doing or the band's doing by feeding off of the crowd's energy, we'll always stick around longer!

We started out with Happy Hour at The Fillmore Detroit Bar for food and a refreshing drink. The bar is the former State Bar. It is a cool place to chill and the service was very quick. I had a Watermelon Lemonade Riffresher, chicken tenders and fries. It was an excellent venue for us to hear from author Kamala Harris to talk about her new book, 107 Days. She was delivering a message on her short road to the presidential campaign and the state of affairs today that have many U. S. Citizens feeling emotionally hijacked....but I digress. This was a great opportunity to experience in such a beautiful venue. It truly reminded me of a more intimate Fox Theatre.

I swear the odor is so powerful every breath fills your nose with mold. Everything in here doesn't look like it's been maintained cleaned or dusted in 30 years. There's piles of random items above the drink counter that look like it harbors dust from the 80s. Particles going right in the drink. On top of that they charged $10 at the door. And clearly it's a friends benefit kinda place because in the 45mins we were there we were LITERALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO PAID A DOOR CHARGE!! Now we are sitting at the bar no drink menu no nothing. I order a simple 2 green tea shots and the waitress is like staring at me. And I'm repeating my order and she started making clicking noises with her mouth bopping her head like she tweaking. I ask her how much it will be and completely ignores me. She's definitely giving under the influence vibes. I'm like shouldn't be more than 20 dollars. NO I was charged 25 dollars for 2 green tea shots in a plastic shot cup. 45 mins and we were down 45 dollars place was gross af and the green tea shot tasted like straight sour mix.. The lady never even came back to the end of the bar to ask if we wanted something other than a green tea shot. Just spaced out talking to other bartender. We cut our losses and ran straight for the door Place needs Bar Rescue or a wrecking ball.
