It was basically a nail polish change, the scrub wasn't even a full scrub. She spent less than 5 minutes with the scrub. I've had better pedicures at the mall. Yep , I won't be back. read more

I really love this place! I have been here a handful of times and I always leave happy. 1. They don't do my mani and pedi at the same time..... I hate when that's done. Some people love it but it always feels rushed to me. 2. The polish selection is HUGE! I do gel/shellac and they have a ton of colors. 3. Everyone I've encountered is awesome! 4. Lastly, they send you a confirmation text for your appointment. Not important to some but I live by a calendar. All that said, I love this place and you will too!! Ask for LISETTE!!! This was my first visit to Royalty Nail Spa. All in all, I loved it. I had the Royalty Pedicure, and the leg massage is pure heaven. The nail neck was very pleasant and good at her job. However, I did take a point off because the first time I called to schedule an appointment, I was on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on. Also, the nail tech did not paint my toes the color I requested. I requested a pink shade, but they turned out hunter vest orange. The atmosphere was strange...dark, and uninviting. The staff were not welcoming and acted inconvenienced that I didn't have an appointment. Mia did my pedi which was the best part of the experience. She spent a lot of time massaging my feet and legs. One of the best pedi massages I've had. That's where it ended. My manicure was not good at all. I got shellac but left looking like I already need a fill. Three days later the shellac is already coming off. It was $70 for pedi and shellac, which wouldn't have been bad if they actually lasted. Went into Royal Nails for what I thought was a basic pedicure, $23, referred to as an "express" pedicure. I assumed it would include a scrub, lotion, toe nail cleaning and polish. Little did I know it's basically a polish change ONLY and what I had received was a different pedicure for $43. I also received a gel manicure for $30. Declined to get any flowers or "extra" stuff, since a flower is $10 and French is $5 and only wanted to spend the $53 in total, that I THOUGHT I was going to end up spending. I had made it very clear that I just wanted the basic stuff. I went to pay and was told my total was $73! Woah! For gel and what I would describe as, your run of the mill pedicure, the same kind of deal you usually get when getting your toes done; nails trimmed/polish/lotion. Nothing crazy. We spoke with the manager who then informed us that we had really received the more expensive pedicures for $43 a pop, even though when the apt was made that had not been specified. Again upon arrival, we were barely greeted and also never handed a" description card" explaining what each service is exactly. There is a non de script board that says "express pedicure $23" no description of what the service actually is. Naturally, I assumed that a polish change would never cost $23, and really they shouldn't even call it an express pedicure because a pedicure is more than a polish change. Misleading. If I was the owner I would of taken fault for charging people X amount when they were under the impression that they were getting something totally different as specified in the booking, especially when she nor anyone else TOLD us exactly what was going on. The following day one of the girls nails chipped and she had to peel it off. Also a bummer for the ladies who work at this establishment because we had to cut their tip in half to pay for the services since we had not budgeted for the ridiculous $73 EACH for gel polish and regular OPI polish and pedicure. For all of us it ended up costing $292 plus tips, almost $330. There were 4 adults, one of which only got the pedicure and one child who got a nail polish change and a pedicure without water. Never in my life have I spent this much on nail polish. I couldn't believe it honestly. Being in the service industry myself I found the whole thing super unprofessional and a bit dodgy and totally unfair to the customers and the ladies working. Too bad. Bottom line if you go here be very clear with them. Although, mani's and pedi's should be fun so I would go somewhere, where you don't have to have everything be this complicated. read more

Not too happy with my nails but that's mostly my fault because it's been years since I had my nails done, so I wasn't sure what style or color I wanted. What I DEFINITELY didn't like was having to wait 45 mins while the nail tech I requested (on the advice of a friend) put a complete set of nails on another customer before me even though I arrived on time for my appointment. I MIGHT return now that I have a better idea what to ask for, but if I'm kept waiting that long again I'll NEVER go back. That would be their loss cuz I tip very well for good service - but my time is valuable too. read more

This place charged $25 for a "pedicure", which apparently does not even include a heel scrub or cuticle trim. They basically rinse your feet, trim and file your nails and polish. Anything else is an upcharge. Ive never heard of this in any salon ive ever been in (too many to count) either here in Victoria or elsewhere. I would have said something but the girl who checked me out did not even bother to ask if everythkng was ok. Total ripoff- will not be back, obviously. read more

Before my wedding I went Royalty Nails to get mine and my girls nails done. One of them had a shellac manicure. It started chipping the next day and when she tried to get them repaired they told her to come back the next day, it would be a five dollar charge. Next day they were very rude and told her it would be full price. When she told her she would not pay full price the girl said "okay bye". When I spoke to her on the phone she was very rude and disrespectful. She told me the owner would call me. No surprise, she did not call. When you pay that much and it isn't done right it is frustrating, but then to add insult to injury when you speak to people like they don't matter, well you lose business. read more

I paid $60+ for a full set. For one, I have NEVER had to pay that much. For two, I wouldn't have minded the amount if my nails actually looked good. It has been only five days since I got the full set and the paint is chipping on my nails and have cracks. The nails are not filled down on top so I have a bump in one of my nails. They did not paint the full nail. They do not listen to your concern because from the ladys words "I know what I'm doing I've been doing this for years". I also don't agree with them switching people in the middle of doing nails. Started off with the woman and ended up with a man to finish them. The man was a sweetheart and tried to make me smile but I was not happy. I left without causing a big deal in hopes I would grow to love my nails but unfortunately I don't. My suggestion? DO NOT waste your money here if you want a full set. You're better off going to a place that charges $35/$40 and you'll actually get better nails and a better experience. Oh and their reason for higher prices? Cause they're located in the MacArthur mall. Stupid. read more

This is one super busy nail salon. I was so happy that they could fit me in for a manicure and pedicure on a Friday morning. I was greeted by Lisette. She is sweet and cheerful! She helped me pick out the perfect color and started right in. I watched her work on my finger nails, she was beautifully meticulous in her craft. My nails have never been done so well! She did the same with my feet. Every time I leave a pedicure my feet usually bleed and 100% of all pedicures leave my feet hurt so bad that I have to soak them for days later! Not today friends! Wow this place was unimpressive! I was referred by a friend and while running errands, called to schedule an appointment. They said they could take me right then so I drove over. When I got there I waited for about 30 mins (odd to me) and finally I told them I had to leave to get ready for a wedding shower. I rescheduled for the next day. I was on my way and had to make one stop. My appointment was at 4:00 and I was literally driving around the corner at 4:03 and got a call from them asking where I was. I told them I would be there shortly and the girl on the phone acted annoyed. I couldn't believe it! They had wasted 30 mins of my time just the day before but were bothered by me being 3 minutes late. I cancelled the appointment and will not go back, nor would I ever recommend the place. read more

Horrible experience! I made an appointment for 4pm for my friend and I to get a mani/pedi. They started my friends on time, but did not take me back for my pedi until 4:20 after I mentioned it several times to the owner. I requested a regular pedicure (the menu states it is $25). The girl that did my pedicure rushed through it (20 minutes at most) and did a horrible job on the polish. When my "express" pedicure was finished I expected to pay $25, so I was shocked when they asked for $40! They explained that an express is just a polish change. Who pays $25 for a polish change!? They charge a day spa price for the worst pedicure I have ever received at a below average nail salon that exists on every corner. Truly floored at the negative comments posted. I LOVE Royalty. They are always so accommodating and help you pick out the cutest nails, if you have no idea what you want. Lina does my nails and she's amazing every single time. She takes her time and makes sure her work is quality. I get SNS dip and they always stay on 3+ weeks. It's usually $45, unless I get a special design, but you get what you pay for. You're more definitely getting the best here- trust me, I've tried a lot of HORRIBLE places in victoria. Went with my sister her 5 year old daughter and my 3 year old daughter, service was definitely nothing special (this coming from a Houston native, I've been to my fair share of nail salons) the nail technicians were nice and the owner was very friendly, but I was literally sick to my stomach when I got the total for my 3 year old daughter and myself, $100!!!! For 2 plain jane pedicures and 2 manicures, my 3 year old got normal polish I got no polish at all, a day later and I'm still disgusted over the whole entire experience. In Houston at a nice salon with better service our total wouldn't have been over $50, I basically paid $50 for my 3 year old to dip her toes in pedi bath and get her fingers and toes polished!
