Rv time at Royal View RV Park. So clean so quiet big pull through sites some are 50 Amp executive. Decent wifi the owner and staff really keep the place beautiful and well kept. And love flowers! Noteworthy. They transitioned to adult / no children. So if you wanting peace and quiet this my be just the park for you. The pool area is great for lounging and relaxing and a quick dip. Call ahead on the pool status if that's important. If your frustrated and can't find a spot . Give this place a try, or another try . We'll be back again soon!

We came back twice during 2020, three weeks in June/July and for a month in September. We still love this campground. During COVID-19, the facilities were all closed except for the laundry room. Campers had to make appts to use it but never found an issue when we needed to do our laundry. There were some extra restrictions due to COVID-19 such as RV's limited to 2 persons per rig, no children, and no outside company allowed. While I am sure these restrictions kept some folks away, for us it was great! The campground was super quiet and sites occupied were not right next to each other. As far as the reviews of unfriendly staff, we have found that most rules are in place to prevent unpleasant situations for all campers. If you choose not to follow the rules, then this campground is not for you; the staff is fairly strict on rules. Have not encountered rudeness but I tend to follow rules!

I will admit I was a little bit worried about this campsite because of the reviews complaining…read moreabout noise and privacy. But I booked it anyway because it was right across the street from the white water rafting company we booked a trip with. It was honestly much better than I was expecting. It was a lovely, clean campsite with a really nice bathhouse with bathrooms, showers and laundry. Definitely not a wilderness camping experience but great for families. We booked campsite #1 and we felt like it was a really great spot. One of the bigger ones for sure. The cons were the bathrooms being REALLY far away (we drove up to them most of the time) yet definitely not enough privacy to "go" outside. There was a helicopter across the street and bar with live music but we couldn't really hear either at night where our camp was so it didn't bother us. PS the food at the bar and grill is AMAZING. One thing to keep in mind is that there are very few trees or shade and temperatures were in the high 90's early 100's this past weekend so it was a little brutal. But overall we had a great time and I thought it was a really nice commercial campground. The kids had a blast. The glamping tents looked awesome. However minus one star for Amanda at the front desk who was incredibly, openly rude and nasty to my husband for NO reason (he is the nicest person ever). He is rarely ever bothered by rudeness and it really put him (and so, us) in a bad head space on arrival. She needs some serious customer service re-training. HOWEVER, all the other staff members we encountered were wonderful and made up for her foulness.

This place is fantastic. It deserves 3.75 stars. The service, amenities, view and cleanliness are…read moreoutstanding. The toilets are clean, 2 stalls in each men's and women's bathrooms and sink with soap and warm water. Showers are split up the same way and connects to a laundry facility. All very clean. You can take 5 min warm showers and the tent came with a nice set of towels, wash cloths, soaps, lotion and a bag of ice. I traded the ice for credit to the fire wood since it was SO cold. It was a decent 63 during the day and 44 at night. The cons? The camp sites are SUPER close together so it forced interaction with other people 10 feet away. I wanted more privacy and isolation as did others around me, so that was awkward. Also, it's noisy. It's across the street from the helicopter tours AND the highway. There was pretty much traffic noise the entire time and also campers coming and going at all hours shining headlights into the tent and being loud. I was woken up a bunch and it was hard to sleep. I can tell that the shed with bed is quieter and probably warmer. The multi floor condos look nice too but again really close together. I think if you set your expectations before you get here you can have a nice time. They need to put in some tall plants between the units or something to break it up and add privacy.

Royal Gorge RV Resort -- come for the views, stay because your kids passed out from joy…read more Right before we pulled in, a storm blew through like it was auditioning for a disaster movie and knocked out the power. I checked us in, bracing for the classic "no ETA" doom... but the staff casually said it should be back within the hour. I smiled, nodded, and mentally prepared to cook dinner by flashlight and charge phones with potato batteries. But plot twist: the power actually came back. An hour later. I wanted to hug someone. Water pressure? Think more spa mist than power washer. It was like the pipes were gently encouraging the water to make an appearance. Slightly frustrating, sure--but we're campers. We've survived worse. Our site was gravel with a fun little tilt--ideal if you like your RVing with a side of puzzle-solving. Thankfully, we had the leveling blocks (aka orange marital stress diffusers). We only had to repark three times. Bonding! The fire pit area was amazing--stone walls made us feel like we were hosting medieval s'mores night. The kids went absolutely bananas on the jumping pillow and playground, which means we got at least 27 whole minutes of peace and adult conversation. #ParentVictory We didn't have time to hit the pool (tragic), but it looked lovely--clean, blue, inviting... like it was whispering "next time." And now: the bathrooms and showers. Spotless. Honestly, tasteful. We're talking chic tile, pebbled shower floors... the kind of setup that says, "Just because you're camping doesn't mean you can't feel fancy." Did I take my shoes off in there? Absolutely not. It's a shared shower, I'm not a maniac. But it looked great. 10/10 for aesthetics and vibes. Bottom line: We'll be back. We'll recommend it. We might even take off our shoes next time. Maybe.
