I thought for sure, a house call would cost me double. Nope! Heather's prices match up with what I was paying to drop off and pick up my pooch at the groomers, without the driving, using up gas or arranging my day. She leaves my bathroom looking like there was no puppy bath fiasco in there. If not for my beautiful, soft and wonderfully scented pup, you'd never even know she had been there. She also does all my kitten and house trained bunny's grooming needs. Amazing prices for all the great work she does. She's my #1 go to for my pets. I only go elsewhere, if she's booked and Remy is past ripe, or she's on vacation. Highly recommended!

I do not recommend this place. I tried their self service dog wash. Their tubs are too flimsy for…read morelarge dogs. And their shampoo's are so watered down that it just squirts out like tapwater. If you do go, you need to bring your own shampoo. On top of that, the "shampoo" smelled like something that's used commercially to mop floors. I've never smelled that smell before and a shampoo. God only knows what I was washing my dog with. When I asked the guy why the shampoos were so watery, he said that "they were running low so they added some water so that they would go farther until their next shipment arrived." Despite my better judgment, I also brought my Shih Tzu there for full grooming because she needed a haircut. When I dropped her off for her APPOINTMENT, the person that was going to groom her told me it would take a couple of hours meaning she would be ready by 11am, having a 9a appointment. At 11:15am I called the store to see if my dog was ready. The Store manager answered the phone and informed me that she would be ready around 2 PM because "they had a lot of walk-ins and other dogs that needed to be groomed too". I said well that's why I made an appointment and that the lady that was grooming my dog said that she would only take about two hours and would be ready at 11 AM. This person on the phone continued to argue with me about "you don't know how dog grooming businesses work," among other abrasive comments. I had gone out to run errands during these two hours and was nearby which is why I called. I decided to go ahead and go over there and pick up my dog - in whatever condition she was in. I figured if she was going to be another 3 hours, she was probably still in a cage waiting for her bath. When I arrived, they brought up my dog, who appeared to have already had her bath and haircut, Which made me extra confused - if she was already finished why did they tell me that she wouldn't be ready until 2 PM? When it was time to pay, one of the employees had to go back and ask what the charge would be for the grooming service. He came back flustered and said it would be $90! For a 15 pound Shih Tzu! I asked why it was so high, and he just said that's the price he was told. I asked to see a price sheet and he acted like he didn't know if one existed. Then he pulled out a price sheet that was laminated on a chain right there by the cash register and told me how these were "old prices from years ago" when he first started even though it was on a chain and laminated and right there dangling from the cash register. The price sheet for a Shih Tzu said $65 and up. I would certainly like to know why I was charged $90! Of course, there was no explanation. I cannot emphasize enough how much I do not recommend this place - self-serve or full groom. Save yourself a headache and possibly injury to your pet and go someplace else!

VETCOR NEWBERG - NO LONGER LOCALLY OWNED…read morehttps://www.vetcor.com/blog/acquisitions-february-2023 While they go out of their way to hide it, this is no longer our formerly beloved local Animal Hospital. In fact they are no longer a Hospital at all, offering zero walk in or last minute appointments, for light emergency services to their long standing and loyal customers. In addition to hiding their corporate ownership, their website has not been updated and still clearly states "Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time" while they continue to display a staff picture despite half the Veterinarians leaving since the acquisition. The point of having a primary care vet is two fold. First is for regular scheduled checkups, but equally important is knowing that the vet you trust and work with has the capacity, or at least the intent, to see your pet when emergencies occur. The fact that they hide their corporate ownership, falsely continue to state services they no longer offer and present the faces of vets no longer working there makes it clear that their new corporate owners intentionally wish to mislead the local community. Don't be fooled, find a new primary care vet before it's too late for your pet.

After the appointment we discovered there was a large well kept lawn and garden with free bags and trash for cleaning up after pets and even picnic tables! It was very clean and well kept. They don't offer any terms of service on their website or in office, only a Pay at time of service…read more At some point they started charging us a deposit for appointments. When asked several times why, they stated it was new policy and all clients were being charged a deposit for appointment visits. I asked each time I brought our pets in and had to prepay for the office visit before I could make each appointment and every time they said "New policy, everyone pays a deposit for office visits" I called several times under the guise of being a new client and asked about fees and terms of service, needless to say, they don't charge deposits for every client. They were dishonest every time I asked in person! It turned out that over the many many years we've been clients, we missed a total of 3 appointments. They never told us about charges, which we would have paid for the missed appointments but they never said anything, their web site doesn't say anything other than payment due at time of servic. Paying a deposit is not paying at time of service. I love the Drs and techs and will continue to go but I'm not happy about the failure to disclose and lying to me about it.
