A high pressure sales duo pushing a highly overpriced roof job that I didn't need (as confirmed by four other companies). I had asked just for a roof repair on Yelp of about 17 tiles and one skylight leak. They didn't even get up on the roof to see for themselves. I realized they were not listening and had a sales demeanor that I did not prefer. They requested to come in the house to "see" the leak which was not really visible, and it was puzzling they did not want to see the source of where the leak was coming from (the roof). They said I had enough pictures for them to get the idea? But it was clear they did not need to see anything, I asked for a written estimate, and after they left they called me from to sell me a new roof and they mentioned a new skylight too! But what was really shocking is I found after I pushed back and said goodbye went on to other things in the backyard, they got pushy and asked my wife to let them in to see the leak. Based on what I found on the security cameras, these clowns took pictures of other parts of the house's ceiling. Again they said they just wanted to see the skylight leak in the bathroom. Their false pretenses to put it mildly. One of them with his sunglasses on inside - claimed on the phone later -- some spots on the ceiling near air vents were leaks, total BS. Out of five bidders they were the only one that told me I needed a new roof and a new skylight. But they wouldn't put it in writing. And when I asked about their company, it just so happened they couldn't name a roof in my ZIP Code they had done. I never heard of them before and I've lived here 16 years. After we FINALLY got rid of them, I texted them asking if they got up on the roof and saw the 17 tiles for an estimate, but they insisted they needed to talk to me. Politely called back . They then tried to sell me on new roof and I then only gave me a verbal estimate for repair which was twice or more than any of the other four bids - and didn't even include fixing the skylight leak! Thus keeping the core part of the job subject to negotiation to any price - I feel bad for the victims they will get with this tactic. Avoid at all costs. these are the kind of companies that should not be on yelp. If I see these duo again, sunglasses make that unlikely, I'll contact the police. They were scammers in my experience, I can spot them having grown up in NYC. Don't be fooled, they have a gig going.

It is currently failing in numerous areas. What is even more frustrating is the lack of communication. I have reached out multiple times by email requesting basic information about the manufacturer and product that was used for our roof, and my requests have gone unanswered. For a commercial roof that is only six years old, I expected significantly better performance, accountability, and customer service. When a customer is experiencing problems and simply asking for information about the product installed on their building, getting a response should not be this difficult. At this point, I am extremely disappointed--not only with the condition of the roof, but with the complete lack of follow-up and communication. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to ask very detailed questions about the roofing product, warranty, manufacturer, and what happens if there is a problem after installation.

Contract negotiations between us and Saint Raphael's Fernando Lugones were very pleasant and the project began with the removal of all tiles and gutters, and the removal and replacement of underlayment from our roof. Subsequent to that, the Saint Raphael team installed new gutters quickly and very neatly. We are very impressed in the way Saint Raphael organized the work required, how well it was done, and we have never seen a work site kept in such neat condition throughout the job. I highly recommend this company to anyone requiring the services they can provide.

LAST WORK ON MY ROOF AUG 2025. Tear off started Jan 29, 2025 ... day one started as a disaster from using wrong materials, wrong thickness plywood on decking 15/32" not 5/8", damaging my house to the crew falling through the ceiling 8x and not reporting it to the owner. Failed multiple inspections. Failed to properly lay underlayment, metal roof, prevent leaking from day one, caused extensive damage to my house inside and outside, including many cracked trusses. Refused to repair any damages, hire an engineer per FL building code but is capable of hiring Attys to defend himself. Complaints filed with Collier County, DBPR, and claim with his insurance. If you cannot find any complaints its because they are all covered up ... its amazing how the law protects what the public should be able to find. When hiring a roofer ... do not believe the 5 star reviews, the fact you cannot find any complaints in any county or on the states website ... dig deep and do your research. Just because a roofer has been in business for a long time does not mean they are reputable or do good work. Make sure you are getting the materials that you paid for. Hire an independent inspector, do not rely on the county to do a proper inspection for you. Most counties these days DO NOT get on a ladder. Its impossible to inspect a roof properly if they do not. The ONLY reason we caught everything we did is because I had to tear out my entire ceiling and my house is now gutted. Due to the ongoing leaking issues and Roman Roofing failed to tarp my roof, anything I was trying to save must now come out per the environmental testing report. I do not know how people like this sleep at night, knowing they have taken tens of thousands of dollars to repair a roof, have added hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional damages and just walk away thinking they do not have any responsibility to fix their damages. Do your research ...

Once we paid a down payment I felt like everything moved along quite quickly. Roofing materials were delivered and by the end of that week or the following they started the project. They also covered (blanketed) the perimeter of the house before they started the tear off which helped catch the nails and debris and they cleaned up at the end of every day. My husband was here when we had the first inspection for the water barrier. He talked with the inspector. The inspector told him that the foreman with Amherst has been with the company for some 20 plus years and does a really good job. I found Amy in the office to be super nice and helpful. I would not hesitate to use Amherst Roofing again for any of my roofing needs.
