I ordered my usual ham and fresh tomato pizza tonight (medium) for delivery. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in pizza from Royal Pizza. The tomatoes were a crunchy yellow color, except for one piece of tomato which was the normal red and normal ripe texture. It's very strange to see yellow crunchy toppings when you're expecting to see red tomatoes. Have to say it the look of the pizza and different texture and color of tomatoes turned me off. Hope it doesn't happen again, if I even order from them again. read more

New Tamarack location - Worst service ever, website said order now and will be ready in 15 minutes, I went there for pickup 20 minutes later and had to wait another 25 minutes for the order and when I asked they said I'd get the free wings offer because my order was over $35 but then they called me 5 minutes later while I was waiting in my vehicle and said that they decided they wouldn't honor the free wings for orders over $35 because I hadn't ordered them, why order when they're supposed to be FREE - until I got ANGRY - ESPECIALLY after being charged for an 18% tip that I did not authorize ! Then they said that I swore at them, when I didn't (the cook lied), and THEY had auto charged me an 18% on top for a tip AFTER I had already approved a misrepresented total price, which only showed up on my receipt after I had tapped my credit card to pay the misrepresented total! A RIP OFF! They definitely DID NOT DESERVE that tip and since when do I not get a choice about giving a tip? !! read more

I have been coming here and to the Strathcona location for many years. It's very hard to be critical of Royal Pizza. In my experience the pizzas I have ordered have been of consistent quality, and taste best when picked up from the store directly. Exercise is a good thing. Royal pizzas have anything anyone could ever want in a pizza: delicious sauce, plentiful fresh toppings, perfect thick crust and mounds of cheese(s). The pizza is very hot when picking up directly from the store. The staff are usually really nice despite being super busy. The pizza is a little on the pricey side, but in this case you get what you pay for. The only downside of Royal Pizza's pizza is the obvious one: calories. You can't eat this pizza too regularly unless you are a very active individual. If you are suffering from a serious pizza craving, you are really hungry, or want to treat yourself on a Friday evening after a long week, this is the place to call first. read more

Once again reassessing. We order ever week or two and seemingly today the request we have (no sauce on a pizza) seemingly was so problematic they couldn't do it. Then made a separate medium which they could make without sauce (very odd) and then undercooked it. When I pointed out it was undercooked they were adamant it wasn't even though we order here every couple weeks. No idea what's wrong with management here... read more

Based on 3 Royal Pizza locations I've eaten from, this is definitely the best one overall. It's consistently full of toppings, with cheese oozing all over. So good! The one downside: it has odd hours so sometimes it's not open when you want it. Still highly recommended though! read more

AWFUL PIZZA! Do not order Pizza from this saddleback road location. I think they have new managers. THE PIZZA IS AWFUL. No where near the usual high standards of Royal Pizza. Do yourself a favour and drive to the location just off Whyte Ave if you want Royal Pizza. When you complain the managers have no desire to resolve the situation. Their belief is THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG. Go to any pizza place but here. I called the head office several times and they just refer me back to the manager of Saddleback. HORRIBLE PIZZA! My roommate and I ordered a large pizza, cheese bread and spaghetti and enjoyed EVERY bite of it. It was so good, that 30 seconds of being unsupervised and my dog ate half of the spaghetti in record time!! Clearly she was a fan as well. Delivery time was reasonable, they were at my house in 35 minutes. Very fast and very professional staff. Their website is easy to navigate, which is important to me because not all restaurants keep an updated menu or specials online. I was super impressed with Royal Pizza and will definitely be ordering from there again! read more

We love royal pizza! The saddleback location is just take out. There are no tables and they are only open after 4 pm and not open on holidays. The ingredients are delicious, the sauce is very garlicky. They cut the pizza is squares which somehow makes it taste better. Lol. Since it is delivery it is very hit or miss. It can be a long wait if it is very busy there. Only once we had a mistake with the pizza toppings but they sent us out a new pizza no problem. Yum!! read more

My husband will only order his pizza from this location. We've picked up & had delivery and have always been pleased with either method. I've had the greek salad and was quite impressed with the taste & quality of the salad while my husband prefers a more tasty tomato sauce he always manages to eat the whole pizza without too much effort! read more

Ordered a take out of 2 lasagna's and a medium pizza. Total disappointment! Both lasagna's were dry and lacking any sauce what so ever and my son's pizza was also dry with very little sauce as well. Called the management to discuss and she was dismissive and very defensive, would not listen. Needless to say we will never go there again. read more

I have been facing a major crisis living in the Deep South of Edmonton of not being to find a pizza place that I can swoon over. My favourite joints are largely in the north side and the major chains (Pizza Hut, Panago) just does not do it for me. My colleagues highly recommended Royal Pizza, a chain that has been expanding all over the city. I was sceptical but I was intrigued. I gave it the old college try in a location on Elerslie. I ordered the meat lovers pizza. To me this is the litmus test that is either going to be an amazing celebration of a Carnivore's paradise, or a cheap presentation of chopped up bacon bits, ham, and meagre sprinkles of sausage on a soggy crust...To my delight, I was blown away by it. The meat was plentiful, the crust was chewy and delicious. The only knock was the complimentary Parmesan cheese was a gross, store bought granulated powder. Overall, I can now sigh in relief that I have an awesome pizza joint close to my place that I can embrace without having to compromise to some lame mega national pizza chain (papa John eek).. read more
