Disclaimer: the views expressed here are those of a twenty something girl obsessed with her far off…read moreretirement who, despite her wildest dreams, does not live in an awesome retirement resort community, only visits them from time to time on work related trips. This place rocks. Seriously. I've visited a few retirement communities in my day, and this one takes the cake. The entrance is typical and unassuming, but tiddy. What's waiting on the other side of the stucco guard shack (safety: check) is a real treat. The streets and sidewalks are clean, the mobile homes are adorable and proudly display placques in each owner's taste (wether it be Steelers colors and a wood carving) listing their name and where they are from, nice touch. The tiny lawns are all well manicured, there's a nice Pleasantville feeling to it all. It's all very lovely, but the club house is what it's all about. There's a nice fitness center, a billards room, a pool and a huge spa, with a poolside bar. What?! That's right, a poolside bar! The bartender was clad in a colorful Hawaiian shirt, very Margaritaville, no wonder the golf carts were lined up and the bike racks full! Well, what if your hobbies include more than drinking? That's your choice I suppose, so while I'm chillin' with the 'it's five o'clock somewhere' crowd you can mosey on over to guest services where they will be happy to provide you with an activities calendar. Better pull out your readers, they had to use smaller font to make room for all the awesome stuff they have planned! Everyday has at least 15 different games set up! Bocce ball! Yup! Pickle ball and tennis? Uh, yeah! Every card game I've ever heard of and several I haven't? You've got it! Not to mention the special events and performances. How about a craft fair? Or maybe check out the comedic stylings of "world famous" Jimmy Keyes! I don't know who Jimmy Keyes is, but he's wearing a crazy coat in the promotional banner, so you know it'll be a good time. The second I find a single retiree with a sweet rig I'm ditching my husband for the life I was meant for: retirement. You'll find the two of us enjoying the live band at the pool, margaritas in hand, in one of the many comfy cabanas!

What a great place to live! The park is clean, well maintained, friendly residents, pretty. This…read morepark is quiet. I find it affordable and has a wonderful pool and spa, clubhouse, Shuffleboard area, picnic areas and fire pit area. Having lived here 4+ years, I would not want to live anywhere else. I find the manager, Rick, to be efficient, fair, good to work with. He addresses all concerns and fixes problems quickly. He is a great manager. Brian, maintenance, is always happy to address any concerns and works hard to do his job. I cannot imagine living in a better place!

The unit directly west, after being instructed by park management to stop feeding birds and stray cats. Set out to harass, intimidate, eavesdrop and stalk the whole park looking for violations of park rules. Would ride around the park 3-4 times daily harassing the next door neighbor who was moved to another unit due to their harassment. There will be a blue bronco that videos and surveillances the park as it drives through. They further claimed that the park was singling them out due to race. Not true. They simply violated park rules and continue to do so even today while playing the race card. A letter sent to corporate by said violaters with false accusations and that was nothing more than deflection of the problem because they are the root of the feral cat and bird problem. The letter contained false accusations of our dog and daughter all of which had prior park approval. They also had issues with the neighbor to the south as the cats would spray and shit all over their yard as well. There was a visit from sheriff's office for physical assaults between them. That same person seems to think verbally abusing park management is acceptable as well. This unit has the whole street under surveillance which is also against park rules. But Kingsley Management is afraid of the race card again and did nothing. Pictures were submitted per Kingsley Management request yet nothing appears to happen, below is a picture of said deflection letter.

I rarely feel the need to write reviews about a business but this has upset me and my children for…read morea while now. I moved here in 2017 with the intention of making it my last home. I'm now 80 years old. After interacting with Debra Senger I vowed never to enter the office again and it's now been 8 years. Apparently that problem was resolved by the Management Company. However, in the past eight years there has been a steady increase in the land rent every year even though the property has been owned by the same people since the 1980s. Even during COVID when people were not working. So annual social security payment increases mean that all we do is turn the money over to Brentwood Southern. It does not benefit the senior citizen. Residents who have tall palm trees on their lots are required to pay for the trimming every year even though the trees do NOT belong to them but to Brentwood Southern. And the residents are NOT allowed to use their own landscapers at a cheaper cost, but MUST use the community landscaping. The current cost is $70 per tree. Those of us who are living on just social security find this a real hardship. Also this year each owner was assessed a portion of the community's property tax bill. Even though we pay our own personal property tax to the county, now we have to pay the community property tax.? There are many residents here who are retired and living on fixed incomes. They can ill afford to have some kind of cost increase for living in this community that offers very few amenities. I wish I had known all of this while I was searching for a nice, quiet community.

I was ready to purchase a home in the park, the drawback being it was located in the "No Pets" area. The Americans With Disabilities website states that under the "Housing Act" accomodations must be made for disabled people with an "Emotional Support Animal" . If this is not done, it is considered discrimination and they can be sued. This is exactly what I plan on doing. I see by the reviews that others have had bad experiences with her. Shame on the company for employing her, and shame on her for being so rude and hateful. I would not live there now if the lot rent was free.
