Replace the first floor baseboard with high output baseboard. Peter measured the job up and returned with Christian another day to complete the work. I admit I was impressed with the concern that was paid to how each peice was installed. A level and tape measure was used on each peice of baseboard to insure that when completed the entire run was the same height and on the same plain. Each cover was trimmed if needed so it fit together properly. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and even helped me put my things back, which they didn't have to do. I could say I'm happy with the work they did and leave it there. The truth is I'm really impressed with the work did, it came out more beautiful than I hoped. They showed more attention to detail than they had to, and the price was very competitive. Its been 7 years and Pete is still doing really prideful work. With each visit by my local HVAC outfit things were continuing to spiral out of control. Each guy they sent to solve whatever the problem was appeared as if it was their very first service call. Yes that's right, on the job training experimenting with my $12,000 almost brand new 3 year old state of the art computerized Mitsubishi! Finally, I had enough!! I began searching for a new HVAC company. I remembered that my family had been using Comfort Control in East Northport N.Y., but was told that normally they would not travel to Nassau County. I called and spoke with Samantha. I explained what I had been dealing with for well over a week and that I really needed help. She said since my family were longtime customers they would come over and have a look. The next day a gentlemen named Anthony showed up. I explained what had previously been done which included bypassing Mitsubishi's internal water pump and jury-rigging the computer board to force the fan to blow warm air even though the unit had shut itself down. Anthony got on the phone with Mitsubishi and began to attempt to first undo the damage which had been done. He was calm, professional and courteous and explained to me he'd get to the bottom of this. After about 2 hours he did just that!! He then began to troubleshoot what the real problem was. This didn't take much time as he discovered a clogged drain pipe and explained one of the first things any company should look for is just that!! He then blew the drain pipe clean using pressurized air. So for well over a week I was sweating my ass off because the local idiots couldn't think to try that first along with charging me hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, which I did get back thanks to a comprehensive report that Anthony wrote up for me to show them. I will always remember and be grateful that Comfort Control bailed me out of a very frustrating situation. Fast forward to Tuesday Aug 25, 2020 and my Mitsubishi shut down for the first time since back in 2018. Called the local outfit and insisted they send one of their two senior technicians. On Friday Aug 28, 2020 they responded and were not quite sure what exactly was going on however they were able to get the unit working again. I got right on the phone with Samantha and explained that I really do not have much confidence in the locals and could she send someone over to give me a second opinion. She said if the unit shuts down again she would do her best to accommodate me. I want to emphasize that over approximately a 40-year period I have used more than a half-dozen HVAC businesses in my area and discovered the hard way that each one is worse than the next and that finding a really good one is nearly impossible. Comfort Control is just that. I cannot say enough good things about Samantha, her father Bill, and Anthony. Besides all that they are just very nice folks who have helped myself and my family with all sorts of referrals having nothing to do with heating and cooling. We had a very shaky toilet that another plumber "fixed" 5 months prior. Mike got down to the bottom of the problem and gave me updates on what he was finding every step of the way. There were some major issues that needed to be fixed and Mike did not take any shortcuts, he was very transparent from start to finish. Our flange was rotted and Mike removed the broken flange put in a new flange set in concrete. He put in a new toilet and sealed it with silicone.
