Because of the complexity of the heating system, l wanted to find an HVAC expert that was familiar with such systems. I reached out to Surefire Mechanical (based largely on the many positive reviews that they have on Home Advisor), and Jason and his team showed up promptly. They diagnosed and fixed the problem (two of the circulation pumps had burned out). Further, they noticed that my heating lines were full of rust and other sediment due to the fact that I am on well water and the lines are constantly topped-off with water that is high in sediment, minerals and metals. This was preventing the circulatory pumps from running efficiently and causing them to burn out prematurely. As such, we decided to install a whole house water filter (that I purchased from Amazon), which Jason installed seamlessly. Jason also flushed all of the water in the 14 zones (many of which were becoming clogged) so that the lines contained only filtered water (without the high sediment, minerals and metals content). We have not had any circulation pump issues since, and our water quality has been immensely improved. In addition to the work above, I have used Surefire Mechanical for several other HVAC needs, including servicing my oil burner and hot water heater, rerouting my plumbing in order to relocate a washer and dryer, fixing a leak in my shower plumbing, and servicing my central air conditioning units. I highly recommend Jason and Surefire Mechanical for your HVAC needs. After 2+ years of using them, they always show up promptly and fix any problems efficiently.

Jason came out for a AC replacement visit...looking to do a heat pump. This was one of the competitive quotes I was getting and he came very highly recommended from the neighborhood group. And indeed, he took at look at the system, had some excellent words of advice, solid observations about the demands and opportunities for the system, and said he'd get a quote over to me soon. I left that call with him ranked in the top 2, if not the top, of the service calls. But it's been weeks later and I've had the opposite experience. I called to leave a message on the business line...no response for days. Called again, and and started to talk with the front of house person, and our line was disconnected (at least that's me giving the benefit of the doubt at first). Then I called back, and she actively hung up on me. In fact, called again, hung up on again. I ended up leaving another message...two I think. But the calls are simply not returned. Not sure what's going on, but I have to take my business elsewhere. YMMV

They started out pleasant enough, but when they saw the NEST thermostat, things started going downhill. Since they didn't know how to use a NEST thermostat with their equipment, they got a bit nasty. They blamed things on the electrician who installed it (even though he installed two other NEST thermostats in the same house, which are operating just fine). Then they said the thermostat was "too smart" for the A/C equipment they installed. Apparently one of the technicians spoke to their boss (I'm presuming the owner of the company) who instructed them to tell me that installing the NEST thermostat voided the warranty on the A/C system (not true, by the way, according to the builder). Then they got really nasty, saying there was nothing they could do since the warranty had been voided. A few minutes later I was told that they had been instructed to leave the premises. It seemed as though they didn't know what to do when faced with something they were obviously too stupid to deal with. By the way, as soon as they arrived they handed me a paper and asked me to fill it out right away. They wanted to sell a service contract, priority service agreement, etc. After the way the owner of the company treats prospective clients, why would ANYONE ever do business with Bobby O's?

He recommended we replace our handler and condenser with a larger unit to compensate for the extra room, plus our equipment was nearing the end of it's life cycle age wise. It just constantly felt like it was running to make the house cold. He also added a supply and return in the small addition. We had the system put in during October 2022. Joe and his team are always extremely knowledgeable and a really nice group of people. Joe has an after hours messaging center which is 24 hours, and his team is always well equipped. Joe himself even came out a couple of times to help us with things. We are very pleased with the work and promptness that Joe and his team provide.
