With any business involving vehicles mechanical issues are always a possibility. Challenge is how they are handled. On a recent wine tour I was with a group of 18 in a party bus. Was going well til we realized the bus was only going 35 on the interstate! Found it was a transmission issue. The driver pulled into a gas station, explained the issue, altered the gear he was in and we made it to our destination fine. A little late but ok, we understand things happen. The driver arranged for transportation home which was two beautiful limos, one Jag and one Rolls Royce! All in all a successful day with great friends and a great time. Don't hire this company if you want to be sure you will have what you need for a special occasion!! I needed some sprinter vans for Friday and Saturday of my daughter's September wedding weekend to transport the wedding party around. My wedding planner talked to Royal Limousine in April and they sent us a quote. At the bottom of the quote was a link that said to click there to make or confirm the reservation so I did that, giving my credit card number to pay the deposit. Got an email back that the reservation was confirmed. Fast forward to a week and a half before the wedding when we called to confirm all the timing for pickups and drop offs. Brittany found my reservation but made a comment that she must have made a mistake when she quoted it because one of the days was just for one hour for two vans and they have minimums. The next thing you know, she said that they didn't get a deposit, but assured me that they still had the vans reserved for me. Funny thing, in the middle of the conversation she said, oh, the owner is calling, I will have to call you back. My wedding planner called her back and she said she needed to look into it and 10 days before the wedding weekend, she cancelled on us. Apparently, when I paid the deposit and thought all was set, they never ran my credit card, and we know this because the last 4 digits of my cc number were on the confirmation, so they had it to run. From her end, she never followed up if she didn't think I sent a deposit. Luckily, we found another company in Greensboro who has bigger sprinter vans, which will be better anyway, but this is not a company I would ever recommend. Initial conversation with Brittney when booking my daughter's wedding transportation was great; immediately went downhill as I never received written confirmation after paying deposit. When I contacted her, she was always in her car and told me she'd email me when she could get to her computer. I expected a confirmation call, text or email from her the week of the wedding and never received (every vendor I used for wedding confirmed except Royal Limo.) I called her the day of the wedding and she had the details agreed upon when booking and let me know when the car would arrive at church and what time my daughter and new son-in-law would be picked up from the reception. The car never returned to get them. My wedding coordinator called during the reception to confirm when the car would arrive and Brittney told my wedding coordinator the package was from 6:15-8:15 - even though originally AND at 2:44pm that day - she told me it would be "no problem" to split the 2 hour wedding package - 1 hour that included church to reception and the 2nd hr from reception to hotel. While this may not be the typical wedding package, this is what we agreed upon. What makes it worse is that I paid in cash, so no recourse with credit card company. A few days after the wedding, I spoke with Victor Jones, the owner of Royal Limousine, and he told me he'd have Brittney call and discuss the situation. SHe texted me and said she tried calling me and could I call her at 6 pm. My call log had no calls from her. I called that evening and she acted like she didn't remember talking to me Saturday afternoon, even blamed the problem on computer glitches. I was asking for half of my payment back since I received half of the allotted time (also, if my service time lasted until 8:15 as she claimed, why didn't the car wait until 8:15 - it left immediately after dropping off the bride and groom. Also note, the distance from church to reception is only 1.7 miles, not like the driver went any great distance. Long story short, DO NOT USE ROYAL LIMOUSINE. Brittney is inefficient and has poor customer skills. Victor isn't much better. read more

The air conditioner was Not functioning properly; we had to have the windows down due to the lack of air and the smell. We spent over 2 hours of drive time in this limo. The company did switch limos for the last 30 minutes but did not allow us access to the lighting or music. When we tried to reach the driver via intercom x 2 ... the console was turned off. I recently contracted (and paid $780) to Royal Limo to take my friends and family to celebrate my birthday at Jolo Winery. Pick up time was 5:00 to allow us to get to winery for 6:00 reservation. At 4:45 I get a call from their dispatch saying the party van I hired had 2 flat tires and they were sending a tire truck out to repair. Obviously, there was no way they were going to arrive in time, so I said we'd cancel and drive ourselves and was told they would not refund the $400 deposit even though they failed to deliver. So I asked them if they could send a different vehicle, which they did, but it arrived at 6:00 making us 45 minutes late - fortunately Jolo Winery was very accommodating and allowed us to keep our table. When I reached out to the owner of Royal Limousine, Victor Jones (mayoral candidate for High Point), to discuss a partial refund, he basically said they are not responsible for mechanical issues, they have the right to substitute vehicles, and they incurred fuel, towing and driver expenses. If he gets elected, I hope he treats the citizens of High Point better than he treats his customers. read more

The driver did a good job and was nice to us. 14 person SUV limo was in disrepair and lights flickered on and off inside the entire ride. Cables hung down from the window and looked rugged. We got in and out of the car exactly twice and didn't go but 20 miles each way. I tipped the guy $50 anyways thinking this was a good tip. The company charged me another $50 without telling me for not tipping enough because at least $20 an hour is "industry standard". I am left to assume the driver is upset at me for unknown expectations and then tells on me so I will get more charged to my card. Unbelievable. If you do that, it's called a mandatory service fee. So you basically have no discretion in tipping nor any courtesy in how they handle it. Just be prepared for their hidden service fee and possible additional charges to your credit card. I recently purchased a journal deal with Royal Limousine for a five hour wine tour. I wanted to share my experience with you and hope you take it in consideration when doing business with them in the future. Our driver was very polite and arrived on time but did not let us know he was here. Unfortunately the limousine showed up extremely filthy on the outside. It was covered with dirt, mold, and bird poop. Upon entering the vehicle it was dusty and the seats were in rough condition, we even had broken glass on the shelf. We were determined to have a good time. Thankfully we had a great time at each of the wineries but the ride in between was unbearable. The air conditioning was not working in the limousine, not only was it not blowing cold air it was blowing out warm air. By the time we reached the first winery we were all soaked with sweat and miserable. I contacted the company during our adventure to make them aware of the problem. The office manager contacted me back and told me that the limousine previously had issues but it had been repaired and the freon was full and it was working correctly the night before. She tried to tell me it was because it was hot out (85 degrees) and we had lots of body heat being generated. We had 10 ladies in a 14 passenger limousine. I have taken many rides in limousines and never previously had issues with the vehicle being able to maintain a comfortable temperature. This was a failure on their part and they were making excuses for themselves. Overall I paid for the deal and an additional amount to Royal Limousine to cover taxes $36.25 (7.25% of the full $500 price), mandatory $100 tip, an 8% gas fees. Although not booked through myself, recently, December 2017, went on a two stop winery tasting/tour for a friend's birthday. Limo held eight of us very comfortably. The driver was on time, professional, and was very accommodating. The limo was very clean inside and out and the driver provided a trash bag to us as we brought snacks and drinks for ride. Absolutely a waste of money. We took advantage of a Groupon to treat friends to an excursion to see the Christmas lights in McAdenville. They substituted a driver at the last minute that did not know where we were going. We finally get him to understand and left on our journey. This was the coldest night of the year thus far and there was snow on the ground. The heater in the Limo would not work. We were miserable. The driver tried to fix it but could not. We left a bad review of this experience on the web-site and sent a personal E-mail to the owner to explain why. His response was to threaten to sue us. What a jerk! I would stay away from renting from them, they really messed up my wedding day! 6 months before my wedding I signed to have a double decker tour bus pick up all guests for an August wedding. A week prior to the event and after paying for the service in full, I received a phone call stating that the bus had no air conditioning and that it might not be a good idea to rent that bus... This might have been helpful to know prior to a week before the event. The day of the wedding, they showed up with a bus that had stripper poles in the back and picked my guests up, not the classy experience I was going for. My guests also complained about the bad driving and felt as if they were going to wreck the entire trip. After bringing these issues up with the owner, he offered me some 50 dollar coupons to use his service again. When I explained that I am not from the area and could not use the coupons, he did not offer any type of refund for the horrible service I received.
