Extremely Disappointed -- Loyal Customer Treated Poorly:…read more I've been a loyal customer at Yesh for years, even held my Sheva Brachos here and used to come weekly. But after today's experience, I won't be returning unless the situation is made right. The person preparing my shawarma was clearly new and overfilled the salad, leaving no room for the full portion of meat I paid for. I politely asked her to remove some salad so she could add the rest of the meat, and before she could even respond, the mashgiach abruptly stepped in and refused in a rude, dismissive way. His tone was completely uncalled for, especially when I was calmly trying to explain that I just wanted what I paid for. Not only was I shorted on the meat, but I was treated with total disrespect. That kind of behavior drives away loyal customers. The mashgiach was out of line and should not be interacting with paying customers, frankly, he should be replaced if Yesh wants to keep its good name and stay in business. At the very least, I expect Yesh to make this right with a proper shawarma meal, meat-filled as it should have been, along with the fries and drink I ordered, on the house. That's the bare minimum for how this situation should be handled. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

Very nice to have dim sum out in Owings Mills. We came on Saturday to get dim sum (instead of…read moretraditional Sunday) to avoid crowds. It was quite empty. That said, they did still have dim sum carts. I expected more, but perhaps there are less on Saturday than Sundays due to knowing there would be less customers. There were three cart with different items. I'm guessing there is more on Sundays. I wish there were a few more options, though i think i could ask for it, but it's understandable. One bad thing about Saturday if you don't come early is that some items can sit on the cart for a while and get a little mushier (it still tasted good). However, the good thing was you have a good chance of getting fresh items too because they don't get taken by the first tables. We got fresh egg tarts and sesame balls, and those were actually the best I've had in a while. The service was not bad. Overall, I enjoyed the visit.

(2/5 stars) I've…read morebeen a loyal customer of Fortune China for years, so it disappoints me to write this review. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Chicken with String Beans and specifically asked if it was spicy. I was assured it was not. After driving all the way back home to the Eastern Shore (I was only in the area for a medical appointment), I opened my food and found that it was definitely spicy--you could clearly see the peppers in the dish. When I called the restaurant, they told me they would remake it, but only if I brought the original meal back. Unfortunately, that's not realistic when you live over an hour away. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just a solution that acknowledged their mistake, such as a credit for my next visit. Instead, I was left with no dinner that I could eat and the choice of either throwing away my meal or making a two-hour round trip, spending more on gas than the entrée was worth. This has always been one of my go-to Chinese restaurants, but this isn't the first time I've been disappointed. Good customer service isn't just about remaking an order--it's about considering what's reasonable for the customer. I hope they improve how they handle situations like this because I'd really like to continue supporting them.

** 5 year update **…read more Contrary to the last review I wrote, nope. This place has seen the last of me!! This place is 2 towns away and not worth the drive these days. I parked on the back lot where I've always parked, and entered through the rear entrance. The walls and carpet are filthy, the bathrooms smell backed up, dining area was outdated, etc. Welp, on this visit, we ordered Shrimp & Broccoli Lunch Special, Sesame Chicken Lunch Special, and a Small Shrimp Toast order. It was so bad, I didn't take any pics. The Shrimp & Broccoli Lunch Special was less than average in preparation and taste. Kept me in the bathroom for 24 hours. The Shrimp Toast went straight in the trash. I took a small bite of each. I have no idea what the taste experienced was. I treated someone to the Sesame Chicken, and I'm embarrassed to ask her thoughts. It was def a great 30 year run. That's it, that's all.

This time around I have a 4/5 for stars because I am accustomed to being able to get a combo meal of rice and chicken but for here you have to order them separately. That is a bit costly for one person. The only option you have to get rice and meat together is there pork options and as someone who doesn't like to eat pork or red meat too often I don't benefit from the "specials" and "combos" they have to offer. Nonetheless the food is spectacular. Literally my go to spot for Chinese food :)
