My wife and daughter ordered regular food but I ordered the bloody Mary which is a meal in itself and cost less than buying a meal. Two visits during our stay for the Star Trek Convention...one better than the other. Service was good all around, and we only had a brief 20 minute wait for a table for Saturday morning. $23 Corned Beef Hash Skillet...generous slices of corned beef onto of delightfully crispy potatoes, with two eggs your style. Flavorful and filling, priced nicely for Las Vegas. There's a veggie version as well which the wife enjoyed. $20 Big Breakfast Burrito...disappointing compared to above! The burrito is average sized, but tasted pretty good overall. Only came with a side of chips. Get a Hash Skillet instead. $17 Hash Cobb Salad...pretty good salad overall, it's huge! Had bacon, but no other protein, chicken is an extra $8.

To celebrate, my wife and I splurged and got the garden table. This allows you to eat in the gazebo just outside the restaurant and right in the midst of all the wonderful conservatory flowers! Fair, warning: if you get this table you'll be in hundreds of photo backgrounds because people are constantly taking pictures of the picturesque surroundings. Manuel was our server and he was exceptional. We started with mimosas and cappuccino and they brought out plates of avocado toast, salmon slices, cheese danishes and cinnamon rolls, bagels and caviar. This was enough of a meal right there, but these delicious treats were just the beginning. Next, we got a choice of a meal and selected steak and eggs. While this plate wasn't nearly as delicious as the opening treats, it was pretty good as well (except for the breakfast potatoes which weren't very good). Lastly, we got a huge slice of cheesecake to share. It was delicious but we barely ate it we were so full. I'm glad for the experience, but I certainly wouldn't splurge like this often. But hey, if any of you readers have a reason to celebrate, give the beautiful garden gazebo table a try (the round table can seat up to 6)!

Fries were very good, except I had ordered Jalapeno Potato Salad first. About ten minutes later our waitress came over to inform me that the kitchen had just run out of Potato Salad. The Onion Rings arrived late, about five minutes after my BLTA. And I just escaped burning my finger on the onion inside. But it was one of the best set of O' Rings I have sampled. The taste of bacon in my sandwich was also outstanding. And I was not hit with an upcharge for the Onion Rings. This seemed appropriate to me, since it was not my initial expressed choice of side.

We probably would have had leftovers even if we shared! Unfortunately, that's where the good part ended. Our waitress came over and told us the food would take at least 40 minutes to come out. Not ideal, but fine -- it's a busy Friday night in Vegas, we get that. What was absolutely ridiculous was when I asked if we could at least put our order in right away so we could get in line. She flat out told us we couldn't even place an order because "everyone walked in at the same time" and that her computer was somehow "blocked by the back." I'm sorry, what? Since when does a restaurant's ordering system just stop working because customers arrive? I've never heard something so absurd. We were literally sitting there ready to order and spend money, and they refused to even take the order. This is Las Vegas -- a city that handles massive crowds every single night. If your restaurant can't handle a normal Friday night rush without your system "blocking orders," you have serious operational issues. Seating customers and then refusing to take their order is beyond frustrating -- it's incompetent. Completely unacceptable. Do better.
