a table full of indian food
Tim S.

Some of the tastiest and most filling Indian food around. The chicken tikka masala and butter chicken are close in flavor, with the butter chicken being a little more mellow. First time trying batura (fried bread) and loved it! The naan is also very soft and buttery, just now I like it. The servers were very attentive and maybe some of the most polite that I've encountered. They also didn't hesitate to keep extra rice coming. I love the quaint, hometown feel of the restaurant. Great for families or date nights.

This is the biriyani I got just like this nothing else

It was really poor service I have ordered a biriyani online and it came pretty quickly than I thought and the result is it was the worse biriyani I have had no condiments came with it taste like left overcooked food sad to say I will never eat again

Garlic Naan

Hands down, this is my favorite restaurant. I would eat here every day if i could. I love Indian food, and I love to try new places. However, this is by far the best Indian restaurant in Utah. Not just for the delicious, high quality food, but the staff here are wonderful. They know me by name at this point, and are always so kind and courteous. I seriously love this place.

Their service is competent and the food is good. Much better than all the chain restaurants in Sandy. We eat here at least once a month.

This is a hard review to leave, as I'm not quite sure if it's just my personal preference in…read moreregards to food or if the food itself was indeed less than desirable. I have a number of friends that rant and rave about Indian food constantly. Yes, I have had it before, but only once or twice. Due to the fact this restaurant offers curry and supposed "super spicy" preferences, I thought I'd give it a shot. First thing I noticed is how quickly my food came out (leading me to believe it definitely was all somewhat pre-made and prepared earlier in the day, and not exactly "fresh"). I opted for their Dhaba Special Curry with Goat (Bone-In) as I've never tried that meat before, a Strawberry Lassi, and their cut onion salad. The only decent tasting thing was the Strawberry Lassi. It was rich, creamy, and quite a flavorful beverage. The cut onion salad consists of cut red onions, a raw jalapeno cut in half, and a lemon slice. The produce was all very fresh and a decent accompaniment. Sadly the Dhaba Special Curry was absolutely horrible. I don't know if it was the fact that I just couldn't quite get over that I was literally eating one of the three "Billy Goats Gruff" but the meat was chewy, fatty, and completely bland. Even in a thick stew-like slop, the bones kept coming and my nose definitely wasn't running like it should have been considering I requested their spiciest spice level of "Fire". I also had requested a side of Naan and all three pieces were completely soggy and limp. There was absolutely zero flavor and the Naan definitely wasn't fully cooked and shouldn't have ever left the kitchen. It wasn't worth a complaint or embarrassing my company, so I had my meal packed up, ordered another Lassi to take home and called it a day. For anyone that is curious about different types of meat, I really do not recommend Goat. At all! I've had lamb before and that is way more flavorful and easier on the digestive system. I also wasn't impressed with the "spice" system at this restaurant considering what I've found elsewhere. It goes from Mild, Medium, Spicy, and then Fire here. My dish was spicy but definitely not "Fire" worthy. I also would not recommend this restaurant on a first date unless you want it to be your last, because those onions and curry spices were coming out of my pores immediately and continuing 24 hours later which made me smell nothing short of B.O. even after two long showers (just being honest here). No thanks! To be fair, the service was good but the food really doesn't live up to all the "hype" on here or anywhere.

Service was great - the owner stopped by to chat and was so friendly as well. Food was fantastic. Ordered a bunch of items to share, including: - Dosas for my kiddos. Served with delicious sambar and chutneys. - Palak Paneer - creamy a perfection especially when paired with their garlic naan! - Vegan Malai Kofta - my sister was thrilled to see a dairy free option and loved this dish! Very tasty - Chicken biryani - fabulous flavors served with spiced raita - paneer starters (arancini and apricot tikka) were both phenomenal. But I don't want to make it weird, so I don't. The theme here is based on the railway system in India and has so many little nods to trains; it's adorably thoughtful. I'm a sucker for a theme and love it when everything comes together in such a way to tell a complete story. They nail it. Not only is the restaurant ambience well done, but the food is terrific as well. I enjoyed my chicken tikka masala while my dining partner had a coconut dish. We both left satisfied, but with leftovers to enjoy later.
