The only weird thing was when I wanted to pay cash, the server came back to our table with his personal wallet to make change, which he couldn't and I ended up having to use my card. Stopped here on our way to the Utah Capital Building - weather it was to or from I cannot remember. The first impression was warmth- it was chilly outside with the snow and the gloom that comes with it, and this place felt like a little cabin in the middle of nowhere- not exactly nowhere, but there were very few places that were open for food, and fewer still with vegetarian options, so really , this felt like Joseph Smith was smiling down on me ;) ...... no, no, not being religious, just remember the feeling of blessed and ...'Oh my god! we found an open restaurant with veg food'.... We were famished, so whatever pics I have is before the food arrived, as after we were engrossed it gobbling it down. It took a while for the food to arrive, as everything was made inhouse, fresh and probably we were the only vegetarians there that day. The order consisted of Moroccan Cauliflower, Grilled brussels sprouts and customized Angel Hair pasta. They were more than accommodating and sensitive to our needs, which I very much appreciated......see...blessed..... Salt Lake City is special for me, as this was the first place I lived at length when I first came to US on work many years ago. That time I was just visiting. It's just an area partitioned off from the main Needles cafeteria-style dining area, but the Overlook has a full bar license, different menu, and wait staff. I had very different service experiences on each visit: first visit was very busy & understaffed, so I had to flag down waiters for everything I needed. But, the Kona grilled cheese sandwich was SO good that I came back again! The second time the ski resort was less busy so service was much better. Food came out quickly both times so you can get back on the slopes! Sandwiches are a pretty good deal for a ski resort: $20 for a deluxe grilled cheese, tomato soup, and chips- very filling meal. Whereas I think I paid $10 for a single slice of pizza at Earls! There's a beautiful view if you're seated at the bar or table near the windows. I'll be back next winter for more amazing grilled cheese!

Uhhh ya we know it double booked because your website did not say the first one was booked. I am 54 and my wife is 52 we have 4 adult kids and have lived life. After a 13 hour drive I really did not need my mother scolding me we know we made a mistake. The pool and hot tub were a no go as they were very crowded with teens and kids. That's not the hotels fault its great to see kids having fun and not on their phones. The area did look clean and kept up. All said not sure we will be back next time we visit family as there are many new hotels in the area.

And the coffee was pretty good, too! The reason I docked a star on the rating was because of the hot tub. I'd booked this location specifically for the indoor pool and hot tub, but when we tried to use it, the temperature gauge read 120 degrees and was blisteringly hot. The front desk acknowledged it, but said they didn't have anyone from maintenance working, so they couldn't fix it. We were disappointed to not be able to take advantage of that one big part of our stay.
